The material of the dress is more cloth-like than the picture seems. but gorgeous nonetheless. The dress actually has two layers- the first one like a slip and the second has the cutouts that really make the dress unique. It was extremely comfortable and classy. It was a great fit and cheaper than a lot of the dresses listed, so I was pleased. The dress does not give you much shape curve-wise, but I would definitely recommend it. It's a safe bet and would look good on everyone.

I was unable to receive the MR that I ordered in this dress, but still got the LR. It mostly fit, except the top was a little loose but it still looked great! I wore this dress for prom, and it was a little casual but it was still very pretty and comfortable the whole night! It was the perfect length, as I was able to wear flats with it!

Love this dress. Really comfy to wear for NYE. I hosted a party and wanted a glam but comfortable dress. This is it. They only had the L so it was a teensy bit big but it totally worked. It barely hit the floor so heels weren't an option. The lace and shiny fabric is beautiful up close. The color is more of a rich navy. Loved it.

The dress was a little big but nothing a little double sided tape couldn't fix. I'm 5"9 and I had to wear flats with this dress but that was totally ok by me. The dress was great for a long night On the dance floor and was just fabulous overall.

Loved this dress.. the perfect dress up, dress down option. Beautiful navy color with silver accents. It has an elastic waist and I added the belt for a bit more defination. I wore the reqular so flats would work for the garden event I attended. I'm only 5'6 so a long would have been needed for heels.

this dress is great for a lot of occasions; it fit well and hung on my body type really well and was super easy to move in. the style is really easy to pull off even though my shoulders are wider, so that was a plus. the only issue was finding the right things to accessorize with; i rented the necklace that the model wore even though there was no gold on the actual dress. for some reason on the model the dress looks black and silver even though it's actually a dark blue with silver (some people thought the silver was gold) so just be careful when finding shoes and jewelry to match.

I got so many compliments on this! It was the perfect length - I am 5'4 and wore heels with it. I loved how comfortable it was and made me feel dressy but not overly dressy. I was definitely pleased and look forward to the next rental I get with Rent the Runway! I have told all of my friends and colleagues.

I am 5'8" and it barely hit the floor so i have to wear sandals with it. Everything else about it was perfect though

This is a great maxi that can be dressed up for a wedding, or more casual for a date night! The silver metallic detailing definitely adds a touch of glam. I found this dress to be a little snug around the hips, so I recommend sizing up if you are curvier on your bottom half like me, and you will have to wear a strapless bra! Add a fun statement necklace to really make this a showstopper!

Wish it was little longer so I could have worn higher heels. It was a little large in the chest but was only noticeable to me. Overall I was very happy with the dress and received many compliments

This dress was great. It's definitely not a jaw dropper, but the fit is flattering and easy to wear. I was comfortable all night. I wore a gold statement necklace, gold bracelet and gold strappy heels. Looked awesome with the beautiful shimmery blue pattern on the dress. My husband loved it which is the most important thing :). Fun to wear a long gown to the awards dinner we attended!

Such a beautiful dress but so comfortable at the same time. It was too short to wear heels though. It has more of a silver accent than gold.

I ordered the small regular and medium regular. Totally anticipated wearing the small. However, the dress is meant to look flowy. The small was a little too tight around the waist and across the thighs/hips and a smidge short. So I went for the medium. The straps are adjustable (like bra straps) so that allowed for some adjustment. It was comfortable to dance in, and the length was perfect with 3" pumps.

This dress is adorable and was perfect for the wedding I attended. I really love the color and the cutouts in the pattern. The fit is a little strange on the top portion of the dress; I suppose if you are a busty gal, it would work well (however, I am not). I felt there was too much fabric at the top. My backup size was the XSR, which fit better on top but was too tight in the hips, so I ended up wearing the SR. I am 5'5" and the length was perfect for flats (which I wore) or a low heel. If you're my height or taller and you want to wear a high heel, I would definitely go with the longer length.

The dress was great as for not being able to try it on before. It synched around the waist and was pretty flow- y everywhere else. It didn't completely blow me out of the water but it got the job done. The material of the dress looks a lot different in person, but not in a bad way-just different. I recommend this dress to anyone that has curves and normally needs to try dresses on before they choose/buy a dress. Like I said before the dress only synched in around and the waist, other than that it'll just drape down nicely. Having the dress highlight my waist was key for this dress. Without the waist line it would just look like a moo moo. I was able to fold over a little of the fabric so you wouldn't need the elastic seam. I give 4 stars because of the material, it just wasn't what I thought it was going to look like.

This is a very beautiful, simple and comfortable dress. I wanted something long, but not too formal. It fits true to size (I have a full bust and the straps are adjustable. I am 5'3'' and the dress was a tad long for me ( i had a very high heel on as well). Overall it is a great dress for a fall wedding.

I wore the extra small and and fit pretty well. I only wish it was a little tighter on the waist because I have small waist, but it wasn't a big deal. I wore it with a strapless bra. For length, I'm 5'4 and I wore around 3-4 inch wedges and it was the perfect length. The color is more navy and what looks like designs online is actually little cutouts which was cool. I'd recommend it. Not my favorite dress or show stopper (they ran out of my size in most other dresses) but it definitely is a nice dress.

This was my backup dress for prom. I ordered it in a medium and small, and the small fit perfectly. Though I didn't wear the dress to prom I was torn between this dress and the one I ended up wearing. The only concern I had with the dress was that at certain angles it didn't give you much of a shape. But regardless, the detailing and quality of the dress was great and I'd definitely recommend it to anyone!

-Fit in the waist and bust was great, with some stretch -The regular size was much too short for me. I am 5"9," and there were no long options left, but in hindsight that's definitely what I would go with. -Like many other reviewers have said, it's not black/gray! It's a very pretty dark blue, almost purplish, and it has shine, but is not too glitzy. The material didn't have much movement, and the column skirt was sort of constricting going up/down stairs. The lace in the little panels was very pretty up close. - Overall, it was a little more casual than many of the dresses at my prom, but it wasn't totally out of place. It can really be dressed up/down for the occasion.

Loved the dress. Got so many compliments. Very elegant. What you can't see in pictures, is that the inside of each rectangle within the pattern is lace; pleasant surprise when I opened the package. Runs very large in the bust region though, would not recommend for girls with a smaller bust, had to stuff some extra padding in the to make it look fitted. My first RTR experience, will definitely be using again.

I wore this dress to a friend's wedding and was so glad I did. It was an all-day event and I was SO grateful for how comfortable this dress was! I'm petite with a large chest (32G) and this dress fit perfectly. That being said, it seems like a dress that would fit almost anyone! One thing to note: somehow, I thought that the sparkles in the fabric were gold when I ordered this dress. They're SILVER!! Plan accordingly with jewelry / shoes.

The silver sparkle detail is subtle but will also stand out in the right light. The dress is elegant without being too flashy. I have a big bust so am always worried about fit up top as well as spaghetti straps. But this dress fit great and was just so easy. I wore a strapless bra and was super comfortable all night. It doesn't have pockets :( but that's the only minor downside. Lastly, the dress is kind of short. I'm 5'5" and a bit of my heels/toes were showing, so any taller and you would definitely need a long.

I needed a dress for an evening/Fall wedding. It was great! I received a bunch of compliments. I am 5 4 and the dress is not super long. I was only able to wear 3- 4 inch heels with it, higher heels showed too much and looked weird. I ordered the small and medium. The small fit but was a little tight so I ended up wearing the medium for comfort and to give a little more length so I could wear heels (normally a size 4). Loved the dress, felt great, and was comfortable.

Wore to an Indian wedding since we had to sit on the floor. I'm 5'6" and wore flats. It was perfect floor length. Fabric is quite nice, a thick lace over an underlay. Extremely flattering cut so you can eat your steak dinner then dance the night away! I LOVED wearing this dress.

Rented this as a back up dress for my Barrister's Ball. Ended up loving it so much that my boyfriend and I got tickets to the ballet that same weekend just so I could wear it! Very flattering. I'm 5'9" and was worried it would be too short, but it has adjustable straps, so it was perfectly fine. Only problem was that it is long and straight so it can be hard to walk in if you take long strides. I just took small steps all night so I didn't trip. Overall it was great.

Dress fit true to size. I have an athletic upper body and a curvy lower body - usually range between a 6-8 in dress size (size 4 in some dresses but who knows - I'm 5'3). Wore it for a Memorial Day wedding weekend in NJ - it was pretty but I think would work better for a fall/winter wedding due to the dark color and thickness of the material. Do not rent for a hot summer wedding! Overall I thought it was very pretty but just not my style.

Usually, maxi dresses are super long on me and this one just grazed the ground in a low heel. I rented this only to use a birthday month credit and wore it to a dinner with my boyfriend's family. I wore the medium rather than the small because it allowed more room for food! Both fit nicely though. It can easily be dressed up or down, and the material is pretty thick, so it would be perfect at a night or fall wedding. I didn't end up needing a cardigan for the dinner because I was warm enough in the dress. I would definitely rent this dress again and even buy it if I could!
