I wore the XSL to a dressy-casual rehearsal dinner and the fit was very loose and the length barely touched the floor. I'm only 5'9 so I thought with the longer length i could pull off some heels. Not the case, I wore some chill flats with it. It was very comfortable and cute though, loved the gold halter chain- very easy to accessorize. Overall, I liked the dress!

This dress is absolutely fantastic! The colors are vibrant and it's made out of a great material. I got the regular small and it just hit the floor with 3 inch heels. It was perfect. The gold chain accentuates the dress nicely and I just wore a simple chunky gold bracelet and was done. Effortless. You definitely need to wear pasties with this dress. The material is thin enough that you don't want anything "peeping" out if there's a chill in the air or as nighttime comes! You could wear a bra but I think the pasties are the best solution bc you don't want to show any lines or straps. The peephole may be too big for some but it was okay for me bc the dress was very loose, it didn't pull across my chest (32D). Those who are uncomfortable can easily pin it smaller without messing up the look of the dress. Overall I LOVED this dress. I'll probably try to buy it at some point. This is a great and comfortable find!!!

I am 5' 3". Dress was long. Make sure to have high heels. Works with a strapless bra. I added my own belt to make it more form fitting and not so baggy. Loved how it flowed in the breeze at this Cancun wedding.

I rented size XSL and SL and for me, I felt like there was a big size difference between the XS and S; the small being too big. As far as the length, I was afraid the dress would be too short from reading the other reviews and so I chose the long, Whoa, way too long, I wore the highest wedges that I have and it still slightly dragged the ground.The dress is beautiful and very comfortable. I almost had reservations about wearing it when I took it out of the box though because it really is that bright. I quickly got over the shock. I wish I owned it :)

What a show stopper! Wore to a rehearsal dinner on the ocean in Maine. People of all ages and genders stopped me all night to ask where I got this dress. It was easy to wear and super slimming. I wore the small and normally anywhere between 8-12. I'm 5,3 and had to wear 4 inch wedges but then had no issue. The print is bold and bright but gorgeous!!

This dress was very comfortable, breezy, and unique. Complimented all night, and a perfect option for a warm weather wedding in Fla. Turns out the groomsmen were wearing Lilly ties, so fit in just perfectly! Would definitely recommend.

I rented this for a sorority luncheon in Newport Beach. It was the perfect fit. I am 5'9" and I wore the XS-L with simple white flats. The hardware makes the dress. It is a little sheer so I wore extra nude undergarments over my regular ones. I definitely wouldn't buy this dress. The fabric is cheap like I said plus it's so bright it would be TOO memorable so once is enough and it did the trick.

Great dress for a spring or summer party! Even though it was flowy I ended up wearing the large because the medium was tight around the boobs. I felt great in this dress- wanted to keep it!

I wore this dress for my sisters wedding rehearsal and it was perfect! Light, stretchy material, very comfortable, great for all shapes. I ordered the SLong and the SRegular and ended up wearing the SR. I wore 3-4in wedge sandals with it and it just barely touched the ground. If you're taller than me then you'll probably be able to get away with just sandals, if I had worn sandals it would have dragged. Overall, very happy, I would definitely order it again.

I rented this maxi for an outdoor summer concert. It was nice and light, so great for the summer; plus the print was so pretty. The top was tighter on me than on the model, so the keyhole looked a lot bigger, which I liked better anyway. The dress was long on me, but I was wearing flats, so in heels the length would've been perfect. Overall a great dress! I'm looking into buying it straight from Lilly or keeping my fingers crossed that RTR might have it in one of their sales one day!

I rented the Medium Long and the Small Long thinking because of the flow that the small would work better, I was wrong, the small was tight across the bust and not as flowey as I would have liked at the hips. The Medium fit perfectly in ALL the best ways! I LOVED LOVED LOVED it!

this is the perfect summer dress. i wore it out at the beach and it was light, airy, and comfortable all night. i wore it more casually, but it could definitely be dressed up for a wedding or more formal affair. i also loved the gold embellishment around the neck. i also wore the regular instead of the long because i was wearing sandals, and the length was perfect - long enough, but not so long i was tripping over it. it was only a little tight around the bust, but not so much it was uncomfortable. the medium would've been too baggy everywhere else. overall, i give it at 10!

This maxi is so perfect for that beach vacation or beach wedding you're attending this summer. I loved the print and the added chain detail around the neck. The dress is so lightweight and doesn't cling to your body making it very comfortable! Definitely a must rent!

Very, very long. I am 5'6 118lbs. and got the extra small and it was dragging, I also wore flat gladiator sandals. If you're under 5'6 I would definitely recommend wedges, The fit was great, flowly very nautical which worked with an outdoor wedding at the bay in Annapolis. Also, no one had the same dress as me.

I'm not normally a size Small (usually a M), but I tried the dress on at the showroom and the Small fit -- only difference in the one that i tried on and the one that i ordered was that I got the Small Long rather than the regular. I also wore 4 inch heels and the length was just perfect. Personally, I thought it may have flowed a bit better if I got the M Long, but everyone else I was with told me that the size i had on was perfect. I also had paired it with one of my own sailor-themed clutches that brought the whole look together. I'd definitely plan on renting again!

I loved this dress on the model, but keep in mind that the model has a small bust and the keyhole is larger if you have bigger than an A chest. I kept having to shift it so my bra wouldn't show. It was long, I wore 3 inch heels and I'm 5'9, ( wore the SL) and it almost hit the floor. Without heels, it was on the floor and I had to hold it while walking. Very flowy dress, which I paired with a blazer because the weather is still cold and the dress doesn't have a lot of shape. The blazer made it look more put together. I recommend you wear heels with this dress, flats could make you appear larger due to the tent style. Its definitely more of a summer dress, thin and full of color. It's not a heavy dress and it quite thin. Love this dress and loved the experience, definite recommend! Also , size down! I'm usually a size 2, or in some dresses a 4 due to length, and the SL was still quote roomy.

This is one of the easiest dresses to throw on and look great whether you're attending a beach wedding or something more casual like brunch. Its a tent style dress so it can fit just about any body type! I would suggest maybe ordering down a size for backup.

This dress is so comfy and fun, it was perfect for a friend's outdoor engagement party. I did wear it belted to define the shape a little. This dress is also really long. I'm 5'7" and with a belt and flats, the regular skimmed the ground--which was perfect for me, but could be a problem for someone shorter. I also had to use fashion tape on the sides to hide my strapless bra, which I wasn't expecting. Would definitely recommend it though!

The colors of this dress are GORGEOUS. Bold and classy and the chain necklace adds just the right amount of pop so you don't need any jewelry. I wore it to a day after wedding beach house bbq and it was perfect. My ONLY complaint is the length. Its LONG. Like really long, especially for a more daytime dress. The MR was better in the length and even though it was a little big on me I would have worn it except for some reason the white lining underneath didn't match up and stuck out the bottom a good half inch. Nothing I did seemed to fix it. So I went with the SL which fit nicely but was much too long for the flat sandals I wanted to wear with this. Even with heels it was still dragging a little (and I'm 5'7") but I didn't want to go full 3 inch stiletto at the beach so i just held it up when I walked a little. The dress was too pretty not to wear. I think maybe the SR would have fit but they didn't have it in stock. Its very pretty, well made, gorgeous colors and fabrics and super comfortable...just beware the length and consider your shoe options ;)

The XS was not available so I rented the small. It was too long even with the highest platformed shoes I owned. I was bummed bc it's a beautiful dress. The gold chain isn't really that gold anymore it's been cleaned one too many times. But other than the length and the chain color it's a really great dress

It was a lot longer than I expected. I am 5'3" and wore 5 inch wedges and it was still too long to wear. It also runs larger than the average Lilly maxi, so I would suggest renting the starfish belt to anyone worried about fit.

The dress came and the bottom was wrinkled. This material wrinkles easy. The halter top detail with the chain was pretty and unique. My biggest issue with this dress and the reason I did not wear it is that both the MR and the ML sizes completely squished my boobs (I am a 36D) and it just looked absolutely inappropriate and odd. Otherwise I totally would have worn the dress. But it is absolutely too small int he bust for a D cup and offers zero stretch.

This is a great dress but it is HUGE! I am not a particularly small girl (5'9" and 135 lbs.) and the Small Regular (SR) looked like a tent on me and was too long. I wish that the XSR had been in stock because I would have worn that in a heartbeat! I highly recommend this dress just make sure that you order the smaller size as a backup.

Neither small nor medium fit. I am extremely tall and thin so the small long fit perfectly everywhere except the length but the medium long was HUGE and very long. It was a very drastic difference between the two sizes.
