After reading other reviews I selected an 8L as my second size- definitely the right move if you plan to wear heels. Great dress, very comfortable with good stretch. I got lots of compliments. The stretchy fabric and lace details cover a multitude of body issues (a bulge here, a roll there). Loved it!

Quality made dress! Heavier dress but not bothersome. Molds perfectly to your body. Stretch in all the right places. Sexy but not revealing. Theres a nude mesh across cleavage area to help with that. Need a straplees bra if youre wearing one. Otherwise you'd see it in the back. Only con is that you definately need someone to zip you up and even then it was hard to zip up past the waist seam.

I wore this to a wedding, I was overdressed... but it's better than being underdressed! I'm normally a size 14-16, and went with the 16. I am 5'3" and wore kitten heels which was perfect. It fit wonderfully, and I received a lot of compliments!

This gown was so beautiful and fit me perfectly. You do have to wear a strapless bra because of the back, but the little opening at the bust is just opaque enough that you can't see your bra through the front, which is awesome. I was wearing about 2-3 inch heels and the gown was a tiny bit on the floor. It definitely fits true to size, so I'd probably recommend sizing up for your backup, and keep in mind that it is stretchy throughout.

I usually wear an 8 but this dress fit like a glove. Very sexy and really comfy which doesn't often happen. I rented 2 dresses and wore them both and got compliments galore on both.

I rented this dress for Halloween and it was perfect. Thanks to reviews, I sized down (normally a 6) and even with a few extra quarantine pounds the 4 fit nicely. I was also wearing small heeled booties, so the R was fine but with high heels would recommend the L. The fabric is thick, so wouldn't recommend for summer events, but perfect for winter with a big fur coat. Wore a normal strapless bra with no issues. It's super comfortable and flattering on the tummy. Overall so fun and easy to wear!

I'm 5'3" and a street size 12/14. The size 12R fit okay, but was surprisingly too short with my 3" heels. I had ordered a backup size 14 and, luckily for me, there was only a long available in 14 which fit perfectly! Although the fabric is a little heavier than expected, this dress is one of the most comfortable formal gowns I've ever worn and I received tons of compliments. I really loved the way it hugged my curves in a good way since the base layer of the dress helped hold everything in place w/out shape wear. Definitely recommend!

My son escorted a young lady to a debutante ball. I am 5 months post partum. I was concerned about fit. I'm 5'7 160 lbs. I ordered an 8L. The 10L fits so similar it's hard to tell the difference between the two . Dress came pressed and ready to wear. I wore 3 in heels.The hem fell perfect. If you are very tall you may want to not wear a heel. Fit beautifully. Will definitely use RTR again.

I usually wear a size 6 but because of the stretch in this dress, I wore 4. I wore it to a corporate holiday party and received a lot of compliments. This dress is one of the most comfortable dresses I have worn. But the dress has a lot of material so it is a bit heavy, which felt weird on a dress that stretches so much. I felt like I had too much material below my knees, which made walking around feel little funny. But overall a nice rental!

This dress is an absolute show stopper! It is even more stunning in person. It's a thick material but has stretch. I'm short and wore about 3 inch heels and it was perfect! If you are a curvy girl or athletic build this will definitely accentuate those Assets. I wore big shiny hoop earrings from rtr because I felt a necklace would take away from the dress and its lines. I wore black patent leather wedges and a gold/copper color clutch also from rtr. Tons of compliments!

Based on reviews, I ended up sizing down and went with a long so it would be long enough with heels. I usually wear a regular length so I was glad I followed the reviews. I really needed the 10R or even 10P but it wasn't available. I'm 5'4". I wore my highest heels and still was afraid I was going to step on the inside hem. Was a bit too long from shoulder to waist as well but it never rode up or gapped. Extremely well made. No bra needed (very, very surprising to me.) Probably the most comfortable formal dress I've ever worn. Very flattering. The material is stretchy polyester which is not very luxurious, however, it covers a multitude of bumps and rolls, lol. It is a very heavy, winter dress with a heavy black fabric, a lace overlay a nude part, and also a black lining slip. (you can see I'm wearing a fur with it.) Would not work for me for a spring/summer event.

I believe this is a flattering fit for many body types. Other reviewers mentioned that the dress runs short, which I could see for someone taller (I am 5'4" and it hit just right with a pair of moderate heels). That would be my only precaution if you are taller than me or have taller heels! Otherwise no complaints.

The dress was very comfortable and it looked great. The fabric had a little stretch, so I didn't even try the larger size I had ordered. I usually go for regular or petite length, but due to other reviews I ordered the Long and it was perfect with heels for the party.

I'm between a 4 and 6 and though I ordered both, I went with the 4. No need to wear a bra but I wore a strapless just for some extra oomph. I wore 2 in heels (closed toe) and am 5"4 and I think the length was perfect. If you want to wear higher shoes I recommend going with the long length as others have suggested. The material is heavy, so it was great for a fall/winter wedding which this event was. I received many compliments and would absolutely wear this again!
