I have a small frame but an athletic build and was nervous about how the bra line/shoulders would fit. Fit well and I got compliments all night long and felt comfortable!! I’m glad I chose the smaller size.

After reading reviews indicating the dress was not made for women with large busts, I was a bit concerned about how it would fit, but I thought it was perfect & had no concerns about cleavage! The dress was well made, and the heavier fabric lent well for a formal evening gown. I am 5'7" and wore an 8R and with my small heel the dress was just a tad short. However I think the 8L would have been too long. Overall I was really pleased with my first RTR experience, and if you are looking for a classy elegant gown, with a touch of sexy - look no further! This dress was AMAZING & I got compliments all night long!

This dress fit perfectly! It was extremely comfortable and Was perfect for the Gala we attended.

PROS: comfortable, great thick fabric, really flattering. Much prettier on than I anticipated and I received lots of compliments. I wore a size down than I traditionally do, but it was more flattering. Hemline in the front is slightly shorter than I would have liked but there is a slight train in the back that makes it work. Be prepared to wear a lower heel (I wore a 2 in) CONS: Snug with long invisible back zipper - makes getting in/out of the gown challenging. I had no issues standing / sitting, but did have some limited movement.

Beautiful thick fabric that was comfortable and hides everything! Definitely runs 1 size small. Long was perfect for 5’7” in heels. I felt sexy and sophisticated at a black tie benefit dinner. So happy with the whole experience!

This dress fit like a glove, and I felt great in it! I'm large busted but my waist is pretty small, and this dress made me feel and look so proportionate. I was a little hesitant because the decolté comes down so low, but felt elegant once it was on. I was also concerned I wouldn't be able to move much in it because of the "fishtail" nature of it, but my date and I were on the dance floor all night! I got so many compliments on the dress - it made the night even better!

It does run small so I had to go size up.

This dress was so amazing! I am larger in my bum and thigh area (5'5, 140 lbs, 32DD) and so it was a little restricted walking, but not super uncomfortable. It fit my body perfectly and I felt beautiful all night. Would definitely recommend this dress and would wear again. I ended up ordering a different dress originally, but the size I wanted couldn't be sent to me last minute and RTR saved the day by overnighting this dress to me. Loved it!

I love this simplicity of this gown. It offers a edgy but chic look. The dress does run true to size and I recommend going up one size for the backup size. The bust is very fitted but works for all cup sizes with or without a bra.

This dress was the most comfortable, most flattering, most stunning formal black dress I have ever worn. I felt so confident, and got so many compliments. I will say I have no chest, so had to wear a cupped bra to fill the chest area of the dress. That being said, I had to wear a backless, strapless and still showed slightly in the front lower cut area. Towards the end of the night, it was a little harder to walk in (cannot walk with big strides given mermaid cut) but overall no complaints. I would rent again in a heartbeat! Love love!

Absolutely loved this dress. Fit was wonderful. A little hard to walk in because it was tight on the bottom, so don’t recommending having to walk too far.

Im between a size 4 and 6 but it worked well. It might have been a little tighter in the hits because I'm in between sizes but it worked out! Overall very happy with the prize and dress.

I got so many compliments! I also rented a size 4R and it was too big. I recommend going true to your size. I wore 5" heels and the dress was nearly flush with the ground. I did not wear a bra because you'd be able to see it, but you could definitely wear a low cut bra or use pasties. It is not too tight in the chest at all.

Absolutely in love with with this dress. I got compliments all night long. I ordered in size 2R because all other options were unavailable. The 4 would've probably been a better fit. For reference I'm 127lbs, 36-29-36. The material is very thick, no stretch. If you plan on dancing all night long you will be HOT!!

I wore this for a gala for a children's charity so this was perfect because it wasn't too revealing but still had lots of character with the back cut-out's! It also has a spanx-like fit so it was very flattering! I was able to do plenty of dancing in it!! Loved it.

This dress is so beautiful! Very flattering! I didn't get a chance to wear it. I normally wear a size 4, but had to order a 2 due to availability. It was pretty tight, but had I not needed it for a dancing event I could have worn it. So I would say it's definitely true to size

The fabric is heavy duty, it feels structured. Sucks you in in the right places. The detailing on the back was just enough. I got multiple compliments on it. The silhouette was great in photos with the slight a-line. And overall it was easy to wear and comfortable!!

This dress made me feel svelte, beautiful, and the perfect amount of sexy. I wore my regular size, 4R, which was the perfect fit and length. The material has virtually no stretch, and getting it over my hips gave me some anxiety. Just wiggle in slow and steady and be patient. You will have to completely unzip to use the restroom so be sure to go before you get dressed. I had to take smaller-than-usual steps and climbing stairs took extra effort but it was worth it for how phenomenal the gown is. No regrets, loved every second I wore it!!

I'm typically a 4/6 but ordered a 6 and 8 for my event as other reviews mentioned sizing up if you have larger hips. Ended up wearing the 6 because the straps were too long on the 8 although both dresses fit well. Overall would rent again!

I'm a little in between sizes. I actually could have gone down to a 4 but I think I would have been a little uncomfortable. Wore this for some engagement photos and it shot beautifully. The dress flares at the bottom so had fun with that in pictures. I'd highly recommend the dress as it will be flattering on most!

This dress was very flattering in every way. It's a thicker material with some give to it. The detail in the back is a nice touch!

I felt amazing in this dress and got so many compliments. The only issues were, because it was a mermaid style dress I didn’t had to take smaller steps than normal and take my time walking up steps. And I had to unzip it from the back to use the restroom, so I always had to have a buddy to help me. Not a big deal, but something to keep in mind. I’d still rent it again.

This hugged my curves in the best way and fit like a glove. It was a bit tight in the thigh area and so was a bit hard to walk up and down stairs. The fabric also collects a lot of lint. Otherwise it was great for a black tie wedding!

This dress fits perfectly and looks very elegant. However, I only gave it three stars because it's a little difficult to walk in and very difficult to go up stairs. I also couldn't get it high enough to go to the restroom so I had to hold it until I got home and took it off; sorry for the TMI.

I received endless compliments on the dress. My boobs were definitely on display too. I wore a dipping U shaped bra so it wouldn't show. It would be possible to go braless, but after 10 months of breastfeeding, that wasn't an option for me. The mermaid style made impossible to spread my legs wider than my shoulders, but I was still able to dance, but not drop it like it's hot if you know what I mean. I'm 5'2" so I needed to wear platform high heels just to try and break even with the floor.

This gown was beautiful and fit my body nicely. The only downfall is that it is tight at the knees so my steps were smaller when walking and dancing was a little different. Other than that, I felt great in the dress all night. (P.s- you may need a bathroom buddy to help zip you up since it's tight at the knees)!

This dress was absolutely gorgeous. Thick material kept everything in place and I felt confident and sexy at the black tie wedding we attended. I was going to wear boob tape, but it didn't come in time. Still felt comfortable, just had to keep an eye on the girls. Wish I had more events to wear this to, otherwise I'd buy it!

I loved wearing this dress! It's sexy without being overly revealing. Since the dress is so fitted in the thighs, it's a little challenging to climb stairs. Ended up being a little large in the bust for me but nothing a sticky bra couldn't fix.

Usually a 2 but kinda hippy so I had to wear my back up 4L. It fit beautifully and was long enough! I got many compliments! A few cons though...I had to have a friend come to the bathroom with me cause I could not shimmy it up they had to literally unzip me and zip me back up. I forgot my sticky bra" but needed something. Was able to wear a black bra because the straps did not show in the back and the small bit that showed in the front looked like it could be part of the dress.
