I love this dress so much. I’ve rented it multiple times. Great color scheme and such an eye-catching print. It has pockets and has small belt loops if you want to tighten up the fit at the waist although the dress does not come with its own belt.

Easy, breezy and did not require ironing, surprisingly! Wore it twice. I probably could have worn a small. But the reviews about the small arms made me go with the medium. That size worked fine and I did not have any tightness on my arms or restricted movement.

The pattern speaks for itself in brilliance. The sleeves were a little tight around my arms personally. Large enough that buttons didn’t gap. It was about serving fashion more than shape so I didn’t belt it. A great length for fun and for business. Another Double J slay

Absolutely loved this dress! Classy and femme while being sturdy and powerful vibes. Arms a tiny bit tight but did not bother me- truly no notes and would absolutely rent again. The quality, color, cut and drape were 10/10. Rent this!! You will look like a million bucks

La Double J is one of my preferred brands. The problem is where do you wear such fantastic dresses? The fundraiser was the perfect opportunity to wear this gem. I got a medium and it fit perfectly. I got many compliments and can’t wait to wear it again

May 2025 review: La DoubleJ Choux Midi Dress size Medium- 2nd time renting it. I tell everyone it's a political protest dress about a policy (principle over party- research the SAVE act & the impact on women) because I'm a woman in chains. Another reviewer pointed this out, which is the reason I first rented it last Winter and why it's my Easter dress today to spend the day with my partner's family with a lot of very vocal right-leaning perspectives. I'd buy it if I could remotely afford it - $1150 and it's also "just" a 100% cotton shirt dress that definitely had to be ironed/steamed which I happily did. The colors, the print, the POCKETS, the flounced hem & matching ruffled sleeves- it's so comfortable- dresses up with heels & I almost rented a statement chain gold necklace to really finish the look. It generates compliments from men & women, strangers and friends. It's the most complimented dress I've ever worn from RTR - which surprised me the first time, but the 2nd time can't also be a fluke? I wore it in a "blue" state on vacation last Nov. with left-leaning family & friends, and this time I wore it in a "red" state to work. Your results may vary. 5'8" 130ish 34D chest wearing mainly size 6/Medium. The main criticism is the sleeves can be tight. I also wore the Medium when I was at about 150ish wearing mainly size 10 and it was slightly tight then but didn't bother me. My biceps were about 10.4 inches then and are 9.5 inches now. This time it wasn't tight at all. So maybe size up for the sleeves? It's meant to be oversized and shapeless. My main criticism Dec 2024 review: My first LaDoubleJ and won't be my last. It's so expensive that I was surprised that it's just a cotton dress. Easy to wear- the arms can be a little tight but they didn't bother me. The print and colors are outstanding. Strangers, male and female, went out of their way to compliment the dress. As another reviewer said, it's very of the moment being a woman wearing chains.

Loved this dress so much. I wish it wasn't so expensive. Sized up to XL because of other reviews about the tight sleeves. That was the right call.

I always love this brand. This dress fit everywhere but was a little tight in the arms. It wasn’t as flattering as I thought it would be. The pockets didn’t sit as flat and it kind of went out at the hips, but I still liked it.

Versatile and fabulous - wore both belted and unbelted. Oddly tight in the arms which made it a bit uncomfortable. Pulled at the bust a smidge but that's typical for me.

I wasn’t sure I’d be able to wear it at first given how comically tight the upper sleeves are, but it did loosen up just enough with wear.

I love this dress - it’s beautiful and honestly really comfortable on a hot day. Plus it has pockets! However, I have what I like to call “strong arms”. So the sleeves were TIGHT. I made it work but honestly the tight sleeves got annoying. I recommend if you don’t mind tight sleeves (with no stretch) or your arms are on the slim side.

Always surprising that a somewhat shapeless dress can still be flattering. Great pattern. Stands out. Fitting across shoulders and then bells out at mid-bicep.

I have to find somewhere to wear this. This dress is very relaxed but also high fashion. I'm excited to dress this up for an event. You could probably size down in this but it wouldn't matter. It is a loose and relaxed fit.
