Super comfortable and gorgeous dress. Classic and elegant fit. The top is velvet, which is kind of hard to see in the pictures. True to size, but if you are busty or have larger arms (due to the long sleeve not having much give), I would size up.

Try to ignore the less than ideal photo location and focus on the dress. I’m between an 8 and a 10 in dresses. True 8/Medium on top, but I have larger hips so sometimes I have to size up to a 10 to accommodate for that. The Large fit perfectly on my Medium sized torso, so definitely size up. The skirt is flowy and very forgiving for pear shapes. I lifted up my hand a bit to show how the sleeves are just a little too short if you have long arms. Would have loved a little extra length there. I wore this twice and got lots of compliments both times— everyone from our waitress to my husband’s boss to my mother-in-law. So sad I can’t keep it.

velvet fitted upper body was very flattering coupled with the flowy ultra roomy bodice made this a favorite on multiple occasions. and it has pockets! overall a little long for me which made my shoe options more narrow for outfitting. loved it!

It’s not as flattering as it appears in the model pictures. The top is not fitted. The flow and color of the skirt is lovely, though.

The sleeves were a little form fitting but there was plenty of stretch so they were comfortable. I wore this to my birthday dinner party out and loved both the look and fit.

I wore this dress to a friends wedding, it was so simple and elegant. I was comfortable the entire time and received many compliments. Other reviews mentioned the sleeves being a little short, which they are, but I did not mind it at all. It's how I prefer my sleeves but if you do not, then be prepared for that. I wore will heeled boots as it was a little chilly for this spring wedding, it would look just as lovely with open toed heels. The dress is high-quality, perfect for whatever occasion you want to make a statement. It was hard to part with!

While not ostentatious, the dress fit the occasion for a fundraising gala. The top is soft velvet and the skirt has a silky feel. I added earrings and a bracelet to make the look more formal. I would recommend for fall or winter events when you want to cover up but still look stylish.

The dress did all of the “talking”… I accessorized with fun black heels and bold green and gold drop earrings and a gold bag. Nothing else was needed!

Beautiful silk print bottom, with velvet top part of the dress. Added a belt and wore with boots. Easy to dance in.

If you like the dress in the photos, you will really like the dress in person. Honestly, I didn't like it that much in the photos but LOVE this brand so thought I'd try it. It fits nicely and is well made so I'm giving it 5 stars. I think I'd like it more if the bottom fabric were more interesting. It's just a well-made basic dress in my opinion. It is understated and easy to wear and runs true to size. Would be nice for holiday gatherings.

It fit well, and was comfortable. However, the velvet felt inexpensive. And the skirt was screen printed. It did not feel like a luxury item.

The waist sits very high and the arms are tight and short in relation to the rest of the dress. It just looked costumey on me

The quality is so nice, it's dressier in person than the pictures looked. I wanted to like this, but the waist: it's too low to be an empire, and too high to sit at a natural waist...it's a weird in-between that was unflattering and ruins the look of the dress (on me anyway). Might be great for a maternity dress?

I ordered this dress for an event but couldn’t wear it because the waist line hit right below my bra, not at the waist. I’ve been renting with RTR for five years and this is the first time I’ve been disappointed.
