As others have said in reviews, the waist was very tight and the top was very big. But I was able to get it zipped with the help of spanx and my husband. And I used a few strategically placed safety pins for the top. I got a ton of compliments on the this dress!

I love this brand, but always size up! Once you get used to their sizing you will love them and always want to try their different dresses

This dress had a gorgeous design and reminded me of the serving ware at a quaint Italian restaurant. I wore the dress out to dinner and just around town and got compliments both times. As mentioned in other reviews, the waist is tight and the bust is loose. I compensated by wearing a lacy bralette underneath (a camisole would work equally as well). The zipper was also difficult, it’s one of those “hidden” zippers that is hard to get a good grip on and requires three hands to get zipped up. The fabric did require a lot of steaming and the picture I took was after having worn it a while and then sat in traffic for a couple hours so it got re-wrinkled. Despite the setbacks, it was worth renting and would be perfect for a summer picnic or a tour of Italy.

Like others have said, fits tightly through the waist but if you have a smaller rib cage you can take your normal size. I used some fashion tape to hold down the neckline. My mother in law told me I looked like a pretty Italian plate

As mentioned by other renters, this dress runs small. I wore one size up for overall fit through the waist, arms, and length. The chest and neck area had too much room for me but I was able to gather and pin at the nape... I also wore a plain white cami for some coverage over the chest. It took a bit of playing around and engineering but it ended up looking fantastic. Tons of compliments! I would actually rent this again not that I know how to make it appear to fit.

Like just about everything else from La DoubleJ, amazing dress. Also like a lot of things from La DoubleJ, runs super small. I had a 3 or 4 inch gap trying to zip up the Large. I'm a size 10 and 36D. In Italian sizing, that's pretty much XL or higher so not totally surprising the dress was too small but it was super too small. Size up if possible because the style, colors and design were amazing in person.

Finally caught something new and it’s perfect, deep V but can easily be pinned closed.

Fits perfect, only thing was the zipper - it was hard to Zip it up.

A small fit perfectly on a 34B chest and 27” waist. It was long enough, but only just. The pockets and detailing were really nice

I hand carried this around Italy only not to wear it lol. Size up and maybe pin the front, it was a little gapey for me in the bust but snug in the waist. I think it’s very cute and high quality though. Would have been so cute in Italy.

High quality fabric! I was able to wear it but the band around the waist was very tight.

The rib cage area on this dress is so tight I had to unzip it while sitting down. I sized up and it was still extremely tight. There is no stretch! I would say size up two sizes if you really want to wear it.

I am a 6/8 and the large was too small (barely and only up top) - though the issue may also have been that the zipper was sticking. Would have been cute.

So incredibly small around chest/rib area. Should have paid closer attention to the reviews and sizes up. Will know for next time! So incredibly cute

I’ve got a small waist but this just wouldn’t do up on me and the next size up would have been too voluminous elsewhere - wanted to love it!

I could not wear this dress. I ordered the XS and the waist was super tight while the top was too big. I have a 26 inch waist and I still couldn’t zip it up.

One thing I always want are measurements! Saying something runs small is subjective. Let’s start identifying measurements so others have a better idea of what fit is truly like. Beautiful fabric but a 28 inch waist is very small for a L.

I ordered the dress a size bigger than normal and I still couldn’t get it over my shoulders! No zipper and super tiny. Wouldn’t rent again.
