Really comfortable for a beautiful, formal gown. Loved it!

Loved the dress. I wore it with low heels (gold) so that it would be floor length. Option to wear it off the shoulder or on. Received a ton of compliments. Would definitely wear again!

I had three dresses to choose from, I loved them all, this one was a bit tight under the arm. So I ended up wearing a different one, but this dress was gorgeous.

Rent this dress! This dress was sent to me as a back up, but I fell in love with the fit and style. It's SO classy and so comfortable. I knew I wanted to wear higher heels, so I was happy I selected the long. The neckline isn't really off the shoulder like on the model, but it just helps with your ability to wear a normal bra (always a bonus for a formal dress!) I wasn't sure about the sheer panels, but they are not as obvious as on the model and they added just enough "sass" to the dress. If you are deciding between two sizes, select the smaller version as there is plenty of give to the dress. I would completely rent this dress again. It is stunning in person and pictures cannot do this dress justice. A RTR Fav!!

Heavy material form fitting and comfortable

I love this designer. No zippers, no fuss. Pull it on and go. Gorgeous dress. Perfect for black tie. Wear big jewels or simple. Great dresss

My fiance and I decided to make part of our engagement pictures a little more formal, so I turned to RTR to find the perfect gown for it. This was my first time using RTR, so I was extremely nervous about renting something vs buying - what I would normally do. I was able to try on the 38R in Chicago, but decided to wear heels and requested the L instead. I ended up wearing the 40L (my back-up).This dress was absolutely stunning! I even had passersby telling me what a beautiful dress it was. The sheer panels on the bottom don't really pop as much as they do on the model, but they are more visible in the actual photos. I had also seen other comments about the top of the neckline popping out instead of laying flat, which you can see in my picture as well, but I overall did not have a problem with that. I paired it was some chandelier earrings, a collar necklace, and red peep-toe heels. With such an easy renting and returning process (in addition to some beautiful dresses!), I will definitely be renting again!

I wore this for a professional award gala and it was perfect. I wanted something that would be comfortable, easy to sit in during dinner, not flashy or revealing but still feminine. This was it! I loved it.

I wore it to a small wedding. The material is gorgeous and I felt very good in it. A medium size was unavailable, so I went with the large one, which was too big. I highly recommend this dress if you can get it in your size.

This dress was so comfortable and fit amazing! The fabric is stretchy so you won’t be adjusting anything. You can’t see in the pictures but there are layers of sheer detailing at the bottom. I got tons of compliments.

The material and fit were incredible. It has a bit of stretch so great for curvy figures. The detail in super simple but makes thw dress out! Very happy I went with this one for such a big night!

I rented this for a nonprofit gala at the last minute. These pix are in my hallway and don't do the dress justice. It is the perfect long black dress--goes on over the head, thick stretchy material fits beautifully without clinging to bulges, never constricting in any way and a beautiful swirl to the long full circle skirt. I'm 5 9 and the L was great w 2 inch heels.

This is a great dress. I wore it to a black tie gala and it worked perfectly. It is incredibly comfortable - no zippers and lots of stretch. You step into it through the neck and pull it up. I struggled to keep the sleeves "off the shoulder" (even double sided tape wouldn't work) - but it looked very elegant even without that. I wore it without a necklace and just wore very long dangling earrings. I wore 3" heels and the long was the perfect length. It scraped the ground but was fine. it is a lot of skirt - which looks beautiful when you move and is gorgeous for dancing - but you do have to manage it carefully on stairs. While there are sheer panels on the skirt - I did not find it to be revealing or risque. I did not wear stockings or a slip underneath as some have said they did in their reviews and felt perfectly comfortable at a very proper gala. I did wear a unitard/spanx piece underneath that had a bra. But, the dress is a thick enough stretch fabric you could go without a bra or other spanx as it has some of its own "hold." it is truly one of the most comfortable formal dresses I have ever worn and I would definitely rent this again.

Loved this dress, fit like a glove. I wasn't entirely sure what to do with the sleeves but it worked having them off the shoulder or having them come up a bit while dancing. I'm between a 4-6 and got the 4, which was right move. Very flattering and got lots of compliments

Received so many compliments on this dress! This was my backup but so glad I got it. I'm 5'9 and wore heels and the dress was still a little long but it is SO comfortable and was able to dance all night long. I thought it might be too plain but the detail on the skirt is stunning. Fit was perfect, material is stretchy and forgiving. I probably could've sized down but I think the 40 fit fine

Loved this! However the see through part started was too high up so I wore a short black slip that ended mid-thigh. Also be aware that there's no zipper so this comes on and off over the head. Consider this when you're planning if you're getting hair & makeup done when wearing this dress.

No picture I took (or have seen online) lives up to this gown in person. I felt actually royal wearing it, but like a very sexy royal. Modest enough for any age and sultry enough if you wanted it to be. Also extremely comfortable and fit like a glove. Can't say enough good things about this gown. Endless compliments as well

I wore this for a friend's black tie wedding after falling in love with it in the Flatiron store. I am almost never one to wear such a high neckline but this dress just changed everything I thought I was looking for. The fabric is so luxurious and it hugs every curve while only showing hints of skin through the mesh leg openings. Not a complaint i could dream of. I am 5'3 and wore 4 1/2 inch heels and the 40R fell to about half an inch off the ground, perfect length. Also a tip: the gown may crease slightly from delivery (it did for me and it was couriered to me within NYC) I hung it in the bathroom with a streaming hot shower for about an hour and the issue was quickly solved!

I cannot say enough good things about this dress. It was so elegant, and the sheer panels in the skirt added a flirty flair. It was extremely comfortable and very fun to dance in, as the skirt twirled so beautifully. The material is sketchy, so it fits sniffly to your body. I wish I owned this dress!!

It is hard to see the details of the dress in the picture but they are there and make the dress standout for sure! It was very easy to move in throughout the evening and just fit my body great! I would recommend this dress for anyone.

Fit like a glove ... Loved it!

In this photo, I do have my heels off as I am a bit taller then my boyfriend with heels. The dress was perfect. I am 5'9". 34DD, waist 28', hips are 34" and wore 3 inch heels. and I walked without difficultly. The dress flowed wonderfully. At 47 I did wear a silicone push up strapless bra and it held wonderfully. Not shown in the photo however, when I walked you did see the detail of the see through strips of the dress. I received so many compliments. This dress can be worn at any age. I worn long drop gold earing with gold bracelet with a gold clutch and black silk point toe shoes. It tied it together perfectly. I might be renting this again. Very happy. Wish I had a photo with my heels on though.

The dress fit like a glove and I loved the full skirt. The sheer panels aren't as sheer as on the pictured model, but still stunning. My two inch heels were perfect with the regular length and the dress just skimmed the floor. I'm between a size US 2 and 4 and the 40 was perfect! I fell in love with this conservative yet gorgeous dress. It was the perfect choice for the Black Tie event that we attended with my husband's coworkers.

This was the perfect dress for a black tie wedding in June in TX. The stretch of the material is good if you have an athletic build and can’t wear more fitted gowns. I’m 5’4”, 135 lbs & 36C. I wore the 40R with 3 in. heels and it just skimmed the floor.

Dress was great! So flattering! Wore a regular bra though a strapless would work too. Very nice fabric and loved the detail on the skirt, though it doesn't show well in pictures. Loved my rent the runway experience!

The dress ran large and odd fitting. The 40 &42 were both large around but the 40 was to short. I imagine 36 or 38 would have fit better around the trunk but been way to short. Material was a matte black stretch crepe... Overall there is a reason the model has her hands up around her middle and also why I posed the same in photos... Could have done better...

This dress is amazing... The material has just the right amount of thickness and stretch to make it feel SO comfortable and at the same time, SO flattering. I received compliments all night. I wore the 40L size which fit better on my shoulders. I ordered the 42L as a backup but the boatneck off-the-shoulder sleeves were continuously bunching up. (I am a typical size 4, weigh 128 lbs, 34C). I may have been able to wear a regular "R" length at 5'6" but appreciated having the length so I could wear high heels. The skirt has sheer striped panels that go very high on the legs so I wore black nylons to make the illusion a little less risque... I loved the wide skirt and beautiful tailoring from the fitted waistline and hips.

I loved this dress! It was so flattering, with material that's thick and stretchy, but not tight on your curves. I wore this to a Mardi Gras ball and felt beautiful but not flashy. I wore Spanx underneath to smooth everything out...and the best part is, you can wear a regular bra. My boyfriend loved this dress and wanted me to wear it to every ball after that. I would definitely rent this again.

This dress felt like comfortable lululemon leggings- thick and buttery soft! Form fitting with a skirt that flows so pretty as you walk. The stretch at the top allows for you to adjust whether you want it more off the shoulder or not.

Great dress! Not a zipper, or button to be found! Awesome heavy, thick material, no wrinkles, looked great all night! I'm only 5'5" and wore a long with 4" heels. Loved the way the bottom moved, beautiful dress!

The fabric in this dress has a little stretch to it which makes it fit really nicely. I got tons of compliments. The opaque bands did not show through very much as the setting was not brightly lit, but they added structure and interest to the skirt. I would rent this dress again in a heartbeat!

Got this dress to wear to a Black & White formal Gala. It was beautiful and comfortable; probably the most comfortable formal gown I have ever worn. There is stretch to the material.....makes it fit like a glove without being constraining. I liked the dress so much that I am keeping it for a wedding this weekend before sending it back! The long worked well with 3" heels. I wore booties with it!
