I simply LOVED this dress. I was an event planner for a fashion show so this was perfect for me to walk around in and look great. It makes your legs look super long, but it is a nice offset with the long sleeves and high neck line. Still is sexy without being to revealing.

I love this dress. It is so nice and flattering because of the intricate lace detail. I am hourglass/slightly curvy and usually wear a 8 and the medium was perfect! I wore it with light black tights and black booties and received many compliments. It was itchy like other reviews have said but it is definitely livable. One critique is that the black slip is a complete separate dress so I found myself pulling it down as the satiny fabric worked its way up my thighs. I am happy overall and would recommend it :)!

I wore this dress in a fashion show and loved it so much that I decided to rent it!! I loved the dress! RTR forgot to mail the black slip that goes under it, so I had to call them and have them ship it but they got it to me the next day just in time for my semiformal! I would recommend renting from RTR to anyone! But make sure you get two sizes just incase! But this dress is true to its size. It is so pretty and classy!!! I loved wearing it!

Love, love this dress! I got so many compliments! Wore it to a November rehearsal dinner in Chicago-perfect. I am 5'2" and 115lbs and the S was a perfect fit. The slip did creep up from time to time but no big deal. This style is forgiving and extremely comfortable to wear. It photographs very well. I would rent this again in a minute.

Pictures truly don't do this dress justice. It is gorgeous on. I wore it to see Cher in Las Vegas. People really noticed--compliments all night. The XS fit perfectly. Sheer black stockings work great with this glittery lace dress!

This dress is so beautiful I actually purchased it from RTR. The fit is very flattering. I am shorter, so the length was perfect for me and hit right above the knee.

I wore this dress for the rehearsal dinner prior to my wedding and loved it! The lace overlay was a little worn (I noticed some minor snagging), but other than that it was a great dress and I got TONS of compliments. I wore it with black tights and gold pumps.

This dress is awesome -- I got a ton of compliments on it! I did think the sleeves were a bit itchy, but definitely would not keep me from wearing it again. It's pretty short (the slip basically covered what it needed to, and not much else), so if you're taller, plan on wearing tights.

I wore this dress to our daughter's wedding. Was very happy to have something with a sleeve, as it was a bit cool. Got many compliments, is more gold than black, but that was great with me!! I'm 60 yrs with a tummy, and I was just more comfortable dancing, moving about in the size Large. Would definitely rent again, and want to see more possibilities for us older 'runway gals'.

Very classy dress. Many compliments on it during party. Fits true to size but sleeves are somewhat tight around pit area. Threading is also a bold gold color, not the copper shade the image shows. Some mention the dresses length, I found it to be about mid thigh. I'm 5' 5" and the med fit me perfectly.

The dress is pretty but could border on cheap looking. Lots of gold, and it did not look very good on me.

Awesome dress - got a lot of compliments on it. The lace overlay is gorgeous. I received it without the under slips, but I called RTR immediately and they overnighted the slips to me at no additional cost. Got them 2 hours before my event. Lifesavers. The slip was a perfect length under the lace - didn't peek out the bottom the way some other reviews had noted. I'm usually a size 2 and wore the 0/XS. It fit very well, but was perhaps a bit short. I didn't really notice the short length until I sat down. Crossing my legs helped but maybe I should have worn it with tights to be less conscious about it.

Loved this dress! I rented it for a fall wedding and it was perfect. My only recommendation is to wear it with some very opaque black tights because it is SHORT.

Absolutely gorgeous dress, especially in photos. It was the perfect length for me and loose enough so I could eat all the pasta I wanted at dinner, but form fitting enough so that it wasn't a shift type dress. My date loved it, and I got tons of compliments.

This dress was super cute on, but ran a little small and was VERY short. I definitely recommend going a size up.

I wore this dress to a winter wedding and loved it! It was super comfortable, and chic enough while not showing too much skin. I really like the detail on the bottom, and the gold metallic over the black. The exposed back zipper gives it a little bit of edge! I wore it with black opaque tights and thin gold bangles and got a ton of compliments. I'm about 5'6"/140 and generally a size 6/8 (or 28 in jeans) and the medium fit great.

Great Dress. I received several compliments! Very forgiving. Only comment is that unless you want to show off your legs you might want to wear tights / hose as shown. I am short and it was pretty short on me. Loved it!

I got a compliment the minute I walked in. A very forgiving style and it was ideal for the benefit dinner. I was worried that the under slip was too tight but it had a bit of stretch and was easy to sit in. I'd rent this again.

This dress was so great- I wore it to an event and I got so many compliments. It's not a tight-fitting dress, more of a 60s shift which was pretty cool. The lace overlay is beautiful. Dresses with attached slips underneath always seem to run small on me- I did have to keep pulling the slip down throughout the night because it would slowly creep up. Overall though, I loved it!

I expected this dress to be a little more vibrant, but the gold embellishment was dull and falling apart. The sleeves were itchy and not lined, but I still wore it to my event. It's an okay dress, didn't really wow me. I probably wouldn't rent again.

Loved the dress, but the size I received (small) was too large for me (they were out of XS). I loved the detail on the dress -- to me, it was as stunning in person as in the photo. It was elegant and fun, but appropriate enough to wear to a wedding. The only downside was that the outer material (a slip is included) was a bit itchy. Had it fit, I totally would have worn it despite that, though.

Make sure to have your own slip. The slip was so short, I went out to Target and bought a black "tube" to go under so the slip would go down to about where the scallops hit. If you use the lose slip, it's not form fitting around your bum and you could be exposed unless you are VERY petite.

This dress was perfect for the Halloween wedding I attended. I loved the vintage inspired look and got plenty of compliments from family and friends. I thought the length was perfect and it was surprisingly not-itchy and easy to dance in. The only thing holding me back from 5 stars is the slip - I got the smaller slip (since I had ordered the M and L) and it was a bit too small. I had to constantly pull it down to make sure it was covering my. Fortuneately I was wearing black opaque tights so it wasn't extremely noticable, but I wish I could have been more comfortable with a slip that fit.

I loved this dress and got compliments all night for it. I wish I would have ordered a medium as a backup. I was worried about fit initially, as with all things I order online. The under slip was fitted but the top piece was huge on me. Had I gotten the medium as a back up I could have worn the large under slip and the medium top layer together. Otherwise, I loved it, this is an absolutely gorgeous dress.

Forgiving style and pretty, but a few issues. (1) The dress is very short, so I was constantly worried about it riding up the back. Ok if you have a short torso, but mine is average/long. (2) The fabric is a little on the itchy side, but I got used to it over the course of the evening. (3) I ordered the medium and large. The Large size seemed a little defective -- lace positioning was off-center, so it made the dress not flattering. I ended up having to wear the medium even though it didn’t fit as well.

I didn't find this dress flattering at all and ended up wearing my alternate (which I loved). I'm a size 10 and rented a large and the fit was actually quite perfect. The underslip was fitted but tight, the outer dress fit a bit more loosely. I was quite happy until I looked in a full length mirror -- the gold swirls just hit me in all the wrong places, accenting curves I didn't want to accent and not highlighting those I would want to highlight. The shape just wasn't there for me -- probably better on a less curvy or more petite girl.

I was very excited to wear this dress to a wedding, but when I received it, the smallest size was stil too big. It was even boxier than a sheath dress, and not very flattering. It was also too long for a short girl like me. I sent it back for store credit.

I rented this dress in a medium, with a backup size of small, for a wedding. Unfortunately, the small was way too little, and the medium-sized dress didn't fit well up top and the lower half of the dress was a little too snug. Since I couldn't wear it, I returned it. Of note, this dress doesn't have coppery tones like the picture makes it out to be--it is actually black with BRIGHT GOLD metallic.

Unfortunately, this dress didn't work out for me at all. I'm 5' 8" and this was practically a tunic on me so it would work much better on a more petite frame. I also wasn't a fan of the material - the lace was a bit thick and stiff, and the metallic thread a bit scratchy. I did love the exposed zipper on the back, however. Luckily, I had ordered a second dress through RTR, and that worked out fabulously!

Beautiful dress, very elegant. I'm 5'4" in my early 50s and it was a just a tad short. But wore it and received many compliments throughout the evening. I was on stage much of the night for my annual visual arts fundraiser. The dress was perfect for this event! It caught the light magnificently and looks stunning in photographs. Would choose this dress again.
