Lace is soft, almost cotton-y in its feel. It hangs beautifully and feels very feminine. I would definitely rent this again and if I had enough events I would just buy the dress, it's that great! My mom tried it on and wished she had rented this dress over the one she chose. Like others have said, you can wear your black bra under the dress with no need to wear a strapless bra. On my 5'5" frame, I thought the length was perfect.

This was my first RTR experience and I loved every bit of it! I wore this to a high school graduation party and I wish I would have ordered a size down for my extra one because it was a little loose. But it still was a great fit and I got lots of compliments. Will definitely rent again!

The dress is so pretty in person. Fit great and had to wear strapless bra. Got a compliment from a very fashionable friend, that made me feel so special. The lace is beautiful but can snag easily.

Fit was relatively true-to-size. Wore the 20W for comfort but the 18W would also fit with a shaper. I typically wear 16-18 in pants, depending on cut/brand. Felt like $1,000,000 in this and got so many compliments! Can I keep it?! :)

True to size, ladies! You can even get away with a normal bra, nobody will notice the straps with the elegant lacework on top. I am very busty (My profile says a 36D, but it's really a 36 H. I had plenty of room for the girls, and I felt lovely! Please don't mind the picture, I got tired of my darn shoes.

The dress was very comfortable. The 16x was a perfect fit. I'm 5'4 and 192 pounds and the dress fit well and was the perfect length. The dress is very feminine , flowy and flirty. The ordering process was great as well. Would definitely rent from RTR again.

I have nothing bad to say about this dress! It was comfortable and the fit was amazing. If I dressed up often I would own this dress. I had a hard time sending it back. I felt like a princess wearing this dress! I will definitely rent it again.

Wore this dress for a cocktail party. Note the lining is nude not white like it looks in the photos. Too was slightly big big waist and hips fit true to size. Very comfortable and easily dressed up or down. Received many compliments and would recommend to anyone. Lace was not itchy and just wore a black bra underneath...you could really tell. Highly recommend. For those who are DC local check out the store in Georgetown. The staff is super and you leave feeling like a true hottie!

I recently lost 55 pounds of baby (and exhausted working full time and bring a parent) weight, and the thought of shopping for or investing in a party dress made my head spin. Rent the Runway for the win! I reserved the 22 and the 20 and the 20 fit perfectly. I felt a little self conscious with the length, so I paired it with black tights, and threw on a black cardigan for the ceremony, and left it on most of the party because the venue was chilly. Got a ton of compliments and was sad to have to return it.

This dress was PERFECT for a wedding! I wish I could have kept it. I usually wear an 18, but I could have worn the 16 or 18 for this night. I choose the 18 just so I could move and dance more, but I think the 16 could have been a little more flattering. The fabric is beautiful and the way it falls is extremely flattering. It's form fitting in all the right places, while hiding anything you don't want people to see. I would highly recommend this dress.

Absolutely loved this dress and the service I received. The week of my rental I received an email from RTR stating that the renter before me ruined the 14. The stylist made me externally comfortable and allowed me to pick more styles to assure I had a dress for the wedding. When I received the dress I tried them all on n of course loved them but had to choose my original dress. The 16 w was a little big but I loved it too much. Thank you again to RTR for making every experience amazing!!

Fits true to size or even slightly large ... Very flattering , just had a baby so helped hide my tummy and no spanx needed at all since this is sort of a-line it's really comfortable

This dress was beautiful for a fall wedding! The detail was gorgeous and in such great shape! RTR never disappoints! Got so many compliments!

This dress was glamorous, beautiful, and most importantly, comfortable! I got compliments all night long. I was able to wear regular black bra with it, and the lace camouflaged it perfectly. Strappy back shoes worked well, but even when switching into flats later in the evening, the dress still looked glamorous. It is perfect for hiding a bit of a tummy, as the fit & flare style is very forgiving. I felt like a princess all night, and will most certainly be renting this dress again!

This dress was perfect for my friends wedding! It ran a little large and I was able to wear the 20W comfortably when usually I wear a 22 or 24. I received multiple compliments throughout the night and I didn't even have to wear Spanx (thank the lord)!!! I was disappointed when I received an email the day prior to my rental stating that the 22W I ordered was no longer available. RTR sent the dress in a 20W and 3 other 22W options at no additional charge - the only problem with the 3 choices were that they all were tight tight tight. It would have been nice if the stylist who picked the dress sent other A-line options, after all I'm at 22W here and no one needs to see me in a skin tight lace dress! Overall I am happy with RTR and will use them again for the upcoming weddings I have this fall!

I thought it ran a little bit on the large side. I anticipated that I would wear a 16, and rented the 18 as my back up. I wish I would have ordered the 14 as the back up. The dress was very comfortable! I felt great in it, and would definitely recommend it!

The 14W for me fit a tad bit big but for the black tie wedding I was attending it was great for comfort! It was light and fit in all the right spots. It makes your tummy area look slimmer which is always GREAT! The dress on me came to my knees which was a great length, not too short and not too long. I would love to have this dress in my every day closet wear.

Overall for well...slightly big in the Arms and bust which is unusual for me. Very comfortable!

This dress fit perfectly. I ordered a 16 and an 18 for a black tie wedding. The 16 fit but was a little tight in the bust, which is why I chose to go with the 18. The dress is nude and black (not white), and I wore it with nude open toe pumps. I also wore it with a strapless bra, which I would recommend because of the laced top. I would definitely recommend this dress, I got tons of complements and I felt amazing in it!

The dress was very comfortable and was good at hiding problem areas. The material was really good quality, it held very well and accentuated my curves in a good way.

I have lost a few pounds recently so I am in between dress sizes. I am usually a 16 so I ordered the dress in a 16 and a back up size in a 14. I ended up wearing the 14. I got many compliments on this dress. It was so comfortable and no spanx needed, since I have a bit of a belly that was a plus for me. The dress was great and looked almost brand new in both sizes unlike my back up dress which looked a bit shabby and used. I was very happy with this rental and the customer reviews really helped me to pick the right size. Using RTR again for my next event. Thanks again!

Like I mentioned above, this dress was super comfortable! With the A-line, I didn't have to worry about wearing Spanx or sucking in all night - you girls know what I'm talking about. ;) The lining under the black lace IS nude (not white). I wore a nude bra - a black one would have been fine too. (I was too lazy to go strapless, and thought the nude straps showing looked subtle and fine.) The arm holes are a little on the large size, so if you carry your weight in your arms, no worries! I got so many compliments on this dress. A woman even stopped me in the bathroom to ask who the designer was - I couldn't remember, but I told her about Rent the Runway!

I normally wear an 18, but needed help zipping it and my friends were afraid to rip it, so I wore the 20 and it fit so comfortably. I wore a black bra and the straps blended with the black lace just fine. As everyone has commented the lining is cream not bright white, but I knew that from prior reviews. Got tons of compliments and wish I could buy it, looking forward to renting again!

This was the perfect dress for an outdoor, evening summer wedding in New Orleans. Sexy, fun, beautiful and just gorgeous details and tailoring. The fit was exceptional and super comfortable too. I wore it with a regular black bra, but probably would have looked even more smashing with a strapless. Loved the two bands on the skirt. I wish I had the $$$ to buy this dress, it is truly a gem and made me feel like a total rockin' diva. Got lots of compliments too!

I wore this dress to an evening wedding. I felt very feminine and elegant! The fit was perfect for my hourglass shape! I would not hesitate to rent this dress again as I received compliments all night! The two stripes near the bottom did not show up well in my picture, but were very visible in person...it was actually my favorite part of the dress.

This dress was fabulous! I received a ton of compliments on it, and my date thought I looked incredible! I wore it to a Great Gatsby themed formal, and even though I didn't know that was the theme when I ordered it, it still worked out well. The fit is true to size; unfortunately for me, I ordered a size up so it was a little looser than I would have liked. If you have a tummy you want to hide or are busty , this dress is the perfect fit. I really liked the length; I'm about 6'0 and it came a few inches above my knees. Short enough to be flirty but long enough to still be classy. The only thing I would gripe about is the 'white' part of the dress is much more 'off-white' than the picture shows which made it harder to find jewelry at the last minute, but I just wore it with black accessories instead. Even though the black lace on top is see-through, I still wore a regular bra with black straps and no one noticed. I loved this dress and I would rent it again in a heartbeat!
