I got this dress for a dinner at convention with a theme of "after 5." The skirt has a bit of volume so I felt like it was awkward sitting down but I LOVED the detail on the skirt.

Absolutely beautiful dress! I wore it for my son's graduation. I wish you could see the beautiful details in the fabric. I got so many compliments.

This dress was perfect for a friend's wedding! It was comfortable and flattering and able to make the transition from formal mass to reception. Could wear a normal bra with the dress and felt confident dancing in it. No pockets, but all in all I couldn't have asked for better!

I wore this to work but it's nice enough for a summer wedding as well with the right jewelry. I usually wear an 18-20 in dresses and the 16w fit good.

I loved this dress so much. It fit perfect and was very flattering for my body type (kind of a bigger tummy). I'm normally between a 16 and 18 depending on the specific dress but this 16w fit so well. The dress was very comfortable and not too short. The skirt is made of heavy material that was nice for a chilly November afternoon. This dress made me feel so confident at my bridal shower! This was my first rental from Rent The Runway and I will be definitely using this service again!

I'm usually a size 12, so going a size up annoyed me and it still ran a bit smaller than I wanted. However, the chest/waistline was super fitted which really balanced out the full skirt - and I could put it on without unzipping it. My only complaint about this dress was that it did not have pockets -- the skirt was my favorite part and there was plenty of room for them. The skirt has a much prettier color/pattern than pictures do justice - the pattern is a raised gold metallic thread -- the color is stunning and it adds a perfect shimmer. I got a ton of compliments on this dress -- at the wedding, walking down the streets, in bars after the event. I highly recommend!

I wore this dress to chaperone my school's prom. I go so many compliments from the kids! It's very well-made, and the embroidery on the skirt is beautiful. I would totally rent this dress again!

The waist was lose enough to hide my tummy but sinched enough to give me a waist and dress overall was super comfortable! I got lots of compliments on my color combo!!!

This magical dress was a SURPRISE! I could not have imagined that I would fall in love with this dress the way that I did! The fit was snug yet super comfortable. Needless to say, I felt like great and super confident in this piece. The material is thicker than it looks, both top and bottom. The bottom is a full skirt, with a bit of movement. It has metallic threading throughout and the pattern is super cute. Going to a daytime wedding or event, rent this.

Love the dress - it was a bit long in the torso (it scrunched a lot when sitting) but there are little snaps in the straps to attach to your bra strap - I highly suggest using those. The snaps kept my bra in one place all night and kept the dress from looking off since it was a bit long for my torso. The skirt is full and beautiful (and you can wear any underwear with it).

I loved this dress! As other reviewers have noted, the fabric on the skirt is truly beautiful! Because the bottom is fairly heavy it pulled the bodice away from my waist a bit, but I was able to find a belt to fix that! The best part about the dress is that I could wear a regular bra, and didn't need spanx because of the fabric on the bottom!

It fit great, (perfect for hiding hips and butt). The color was beautiful! I received a lot of compliments!

This was a great dress - the kind that I imagine princesses would wear on a normal ordinary day - it has that kind of a skirt. I put a cardigan over it because I felt it would've been a bit too fancy for work otherwise. I got lots of compliments, and people asking about where I got the dress!

I rented this dress to wear to a ballet. The skirt was very poofy, but that made me love this dress that much more. I'm about 5'9", and usually wear a size 14, and this dress was perfect for me. Loved it so much, I bought it! :)

I rented this dress to wear to chaperone the junior prom. It was perfect for the occasion especially since we've had a very chilly spring and the skirt fabric is on the heavy side. I am not large in the bust area so there was plenty of room, and the large skirt accommodated my bigger thighs. I just wish I could have worn two cute shoes instead of the boot!

It ran true to size for the most part...also it flairs out a little wider than pictured on the site, which I didn't mind that much.

I rented this as a surprise for my mom for her surprise birthday party. The fit was very true to size, and the fabric thicker than the photos let on- it was overall just a gorgeous dress. The color is just beautiful, and my mom paired it with a yellow cardigan (it was 50 degrees that day) and yellow heels, which really made the gold in the skirt pop. She got compliments on it all day long. My mom was thrilled- I've been using RTR for years, and she is so excited to have a great first experience!

This was a back up option that RTR sent me when they didn't have the second size of my rental. Let me tell you, I almost didn't even try it on. What a happy girl I was that I did! I stood out in a room of black cocktail dresses - the fit, style & color made me the recipient of so many compliments ! Couldn't have been happier. The fit was true to size. I tried it on at a location store in Vegas I was able to order dress and it shipped within time for the wedding.

Since this is a W and not a regular size 14, it was a bit too large on me. However, since I was not the focal point of the day, I wasn't too worried. It just meant no shape wear! :) Bummer of no pockets given how large the skirt portion of the dress is. Glad I saw someone's post about the skirt having gold that didn't really come through in the photos - influenced my accessory choice. Otherwise, nice feedback from others, fun colors, comfy, could wear a regular bra.

I like this dress- the sparkle on the bottom was so pretty and the fabric hung very nicely. But it was so big! If it fit me correctly, I would have picked it but it just didn't flatter me.

The fabric on this skirt is absolutely gorgeous. It's a very heavy weight and was perfect for a late summer wedding when the nights start to get cooler. The top fit a bit big on me (C cup) but it didn't look too bad. And the blue was a lovely color. The dress looked great with some dramatic statement earrings and a sparkly gold clutch!

This dress is so pretty and comfortable. The bottom goes out on its on and should flatter any shape. You could dress this dress up or down. Would definitely rent again. Even considering buying the dress.

This dress was awesome for an early-October wedding in Minnesota! I got so many compliments on the dress and I felt pretty awesome in it. Wear it with a sweater or shawl for the ceremony, and go sleeveless for the dance floor! I'd definitely wear this for other occasions than a wedding as well. Cons: -The embroidery on the skirt makes for a pretty heavy dress, but it still moves freely. -Additionally, because the skirt is so poofy, it was tough to find a shrug that I liked to wear with it. Pros: -The shoulder straps have little threads with snaps to keep your bra straps from sliding out. It was a nice surprise. -The bodice has a little boning in it to keep it from wrinkling and to look structured all night long. This doesn't interfere with movement or your ability to feel comfortable. -The colors are on point! It's a bright, cobalt blue for the bodice and the skirt is cream with golden embroidery. I loved the way it all worked together. -I was able to wear heels for the ceremony and lace-up flats for the dance - the dress is wicked versatile by way of styling. Despite it looking super fancy, it could totally be dressed up or dressed down depending on the occasion.

I wore this for a friends wedding. I ordered a 22 as a back up and it was way too big, but I felt the 20 was a little tight on my chest. The bottom is very heavy, but wasn't a huge deal.

This dress was lots of fun, and the perfect pick me up on a dreary winter day. The fabric on the skirt is luxurious, and thickly quilted and lined (it looks like there are petticoats underneath, but there aren't). The dress was a bit large on me. I wore a cardigan over it for the office. The color was deeply saturated indigo. If I were to wear it again, I might pair it with yellow shoes. This dress is a win because it's very unusual, and very striking. I was complimented all day long.

I went to the store in downtown Chicago to make sure that I could get something that fit correctly, and as someone who usually runs a 16, the 14W fit well. It was a little snug at the arms and I have more than a bit of a belly and the dress would ride up above my belly - but it was great, and looked fabulous.

Normally I wear a size 14 in the waist but 16 for chest. If I owned it I would have altered it in the waist, but otherwise I got a ton of compliments and it was comfortable as well as easy to dance in!

Great dress for a wedding -- it's made of a thick, nice material and the bottom is sort of sparkly. There is absolutely no stretch at all in the waist, so size up for your extra size. Loved it!
