I really like this style! The slip underneath is a little more fitted, but not tight enough that shapewear is necessary. The sequin overlay is great and it hides any imperfections. The sequins aren't uncomfortable and I was able to move freely, so it would be a great style for a wedding and would not hinder your ability to dance the night away! The colors is fun and unexpected. The length was also perfect. I would definitely rent this style!

This dress was comfortable! And a very flattering fit on my tall, curvy frame. I probably could have worn a 14W but this was my first rental and I ordered the 18W as a backup. Not necessary! The only downside was that the sequins kept catching on themselves in the arms or on other people. An excuse to brush up against someone new? ;)

Loved this dress. It's very lightweight and would be fine for summer despite the long sleeves and dark color. It's extremely comfortable to wear overall and looks elegant. Also liked that it's not too revealing so it works great for formal work events where you need to maintain a professional yet festive appearance. Runs true to size but is a little roomy in the waist.

This dress is beautiful and extremely comfortable. I felt like I could have probably worn the 18, but had not selected that as an option. I did feel the sequins on the underside of my arms, but it didn't bother me. I really enjoyed the length - not too short, not too long.

I rented this for my daughter's sorority formal. I loved the dress and felt beautiful in it! Received so many compliments on it! I rented the 16 and got the free 14 because I read that the dress runs a bit big. It does run big through the chest and shoulders if you're not a big-busty girl. I wore the 16 inner tank dress and the 14 outer sequined dress and it was fabulous! I will rent it again in November for a cruise!

Perfect fit and so comfortable!

I ordered this dress for a small birthday dinner at a local wine house. Delivery was prompt as usual. The dress has a loose fit, but I will still say its true to size. I wanted to be glamorous and comfortable. This dress was it. The only slight problem occurred when sitting on the restaurant couches. The dress kept riding up and I had to adjust myself a few times. This could really just be a tall girl problem. One thing to note, the sequins are much shinier than they show in pictures. I definitely stood out in the crowd!

This dress is a stunner! With my hair up and some bangin accessories (silver mesh glam clutch and Ainsley earrings from RTR), black peep toe heels, the whole look was amazing. We went to a gala fundraiser which was semi-formal; even amongst all the lovely dresses I received a TON of compliments. the dress is very high quality and quite comfortable as well. A few notes--as others have said the dress is in two pieces. The one I received had all the little straps and snaps so I was able to attach the liner to my bra and the overlay to the liner, but I would recommend not trying to get dressed alone--I needed a lot of help to keep stuff from snagging. All in all I had a very good experience with RTR and look forward to renting again!

Great dress, received many compliments and it made me feel glamorous. The only issue I had was it was little loose in the bust.

Loved this dress! It was very comfortable and was prettier in person than in the photo on the site. Loved the detail.The back dips into a V, but not so much that you can't wear a regular bra - added a nice sexy element. I wore this to a fundraiser dinner and it was perfect. Would definitely rent this again.

I loved this dress. I received many compliments and it fit comfortably. The lining is shorter than the outer part overlay of the dress and the lining was above my knee and I'm on 5'1" so if you're tall it may be a little short on you. The color is a beautiful charcoal grey and just the right amount of sparkle that it didn't look gaudy.

I wore this a friend's RetroWedding. They appreciated my attempts at the 20's.(It's all in the accessories.) This dress was a bit too big for me, so i threw on a belt and pulled the fabric over it. Perfect to hide all the not so toned parts. :) I would absolutely wear it again.

I felt great in this dress that I rented for a bachelorette party! I did rent the 14 & 16. I ended up wearing the 16 slip with the 14 sparkle overlay. The length was perfect and it paired nicely with tights and booties. I was complimented all night.

I have an apple figure (the bottom of my apple is a little bigger than the top of my apple, but you get the idea), and this dress was really a hit. It was a smudge snug on me, but with my Spanx, it was wearable. The sheath portion did ride up a little here and there since it's not at all attached to the netting portion. The dress is so pretty though and I got a ton of compliments. I did wish it was a little more fitted at the waist, but it was still good.

I only experienced minor snagging, which some of the other reviewers mentioned. It didn't bother me very much. The two layers of this dress make it extremely comfortable and flattering. It was perfect for a winter wedding! (Sorry that I don't have a full length photo to share-- the night was a blur and we never stopped to take one!)

My sister wore this for my bachelorette party and she sparkled all night. She usually wears a 20-22 but in this designer the 18 fit her. She would definitely rent this dress again. Everyone loved it and there were lots of compliments.

This dress is amazing. It is versatile runs big, If I has one size smaller it would have been magnificent. I would recommenced it. i had a 1920's celebration and all night I heard about how beautiful it was.

Wow - did I ever get the compliments on this Kay Unger sheath! The dress fit like a glove, like it was tailored for me and it was the perfect amount of sparkle without being over the top. I had numerous people tell me I won the award for best dressed at a 700 person event. This sparkly number will have you feeling like a star!

I have been recently loosing weight so when I received the dresses on Thursday they were too big. I called RTR and they overnighted me a smaller size. It arrived just in time. Although it was still a little big it looked fabulous. I felt amazing in the dress and got a lot of compliments. The only thing I want to mention is the material catches very easily so I was extra cautious. Otherwise LOVED this dress.

Rented for a military engagement and never felt more beautiful. Received quite a few compliments. Dress fits true to size and wasn't too short. I love getting my dresses from Rent The Runway. They never disappoint!

I did not have problems with the dress snagging on anything at all, it was a shorter dress, but that was just fine.

The dress was exactly what I was looking for! I was a little nervous due to the fact I am never very consistent with my dress size! I did get the second size up but was much too large. So many compliments!!

Rented this in a 16 & 18. The 18 smelled of BO & the 16 was stale/peculiar smelling. Called RTR staff & a replacement was overnighted (sparks fly sheath). Despite the *ahem* peculiar odor of the 16, I braved it anyway because the replacement was not a good fit. All in all, I would rent again. The stylist, Alex, was amazingly helpful and understanding. What a great company & service.

This dress looked so nice on! I was a little disillusioned with my sizing because both sizes I chose were too big. So I had to belt the smaller of the two but that was my fault for sizing up. The belt puffed the dress out a bit making me look fluffy in the tummy regions which I'm not, but besides that I looked and felt beautiful and was parading around Hollywood getting a myriad of compliments from strangers and friends. Now that is a perfect birthday! I will absolutely rent this dress again! I recommend it to anyone considering it.

My only problem was that the lining kept slipping off my shoulder.

Couldn't have been a more perfect fit! Was a little shorter on me than on the website, but I am quite tall. Felt that it accentuated all that needed accentuating! There were three if us who "rented the runway" for this charity ball. We all looked fabulous!!

I wore this for my law school ball. It was beautiful. I received many compliments. It looks black/gray in this picture, but in reality it varies depending on the lighting. In some pictures it looks blue, in some black, in many somewhere in between. The arms are wonderful. They are actually very slimming and really pretty b/c it's sheer over the skin. It includes a slip for underneath the dress. It is about 2-3 inches shorter than the sheer top, which means the bottom really shows off the lacey pattern. I have a bit of a belly and this hid it like magic. It really streamlined my body shape. I would rent this again. It did run slightly big, so go a size down and then get your normal size as the backup.

I wore for a gala and it was comfortable, stylish and flattering. I would definitely recommend this dress to anyone.

When looking for a dress to wear to my work's awards banquet I wanted something conservative but fun, and this dress definitely fit the bill! The dress ran true to size and because of the top layer I didn't even need spanx!! Loved partying the night away in a dress that was suitable for work colleagues, but still allowed me to express my love of all things sparkle. Very nice dress super comfortable. Black slip underneath the lace over lay. Low back is very tasteful. Charcoal grey color is nice with texture of the lace and shine of the sequence! Sleeves are not tight. Liked this style!

I celebrated my 50th birthday in great style. It was even better than I thought. The size 16 fit me perfect. Thank you RTR
