The dress is true to size but a little on the short side so be conscious if bending over. The fabric is thick and the best part is it doesn't wrinkle. Also, LOVED having pockets in the dress.

This may be my favorite dress I've ever worn. The size 2 fit perfectly! The style of the dress is very classy/classic and I wore it with a simple strand of pearls. The open back makes the dress, I'm obsessed with it! I rented it for a black tie wedding and got compliments all night, one person even stopped me to tell me it was her favorite dress of the night (which was a very high compliment, there were some very well dressed attendees). I took forever to get around to writing this review, but in the intervening months people who saw pictures from the wedding have stopped me on multiple occasions to ask about the dress and inquire why I haven't worn it again. I wish I could've kept this one!

Loved that the dress had deep pockets- I was able to have my phone on me and dance all night safely without it falling out. I wore a back-less bra, had lots of comfortable room in the dress, and it was comfortable! Will rent again. Can't think of any "cons".

The dress fits true to size, I wear a size 6 in this style dress normally but opt'd for the size 8 to give myself a little more length in the skirt portion. I'm on the taller side and wore heels, so a little extra inch or two of hem is essential. I wore this dress to my best friends formal winter wedding and it was the perfect choice! The color photographs extremely well, and I received so many compliments! The bow on the back of the dress is adorable, and it's got pockets!! Perfect little party dress. Love love loved it!

this dress was gorgeous and i got so many compliments! it may seem simple but it's a show stopper. it was a lot shorter than i expected though so i added a black tool skirt underneath it to give it more length. i'm sure it wouldn't be a problem for someone more petite. the top was pretty tight and made of a thick fabric, so i could have easily gone without a bra though i just bought the adhesive ones and it worked fine. if you rent it, i suggest fluffing the bow in the back. i forgot to but i guess it would add more emphasis (just a tip). would deeefinitely rent again!

Loved the fit of this- but go up a size or two. I had to go up two sizes b/c this designer runs small on me and it was a side zipper but it fit everywhere well after I did. I added the lace black long sleeve blouse to make it more appropriate for winter. Definitely recommend!

This dress is absolutely amazing! I rented this for my sorority's winter formal and didn't stop receiving compliments all night. This has dress has a little bit of stretch in the top half while being tighter around the waist. I was so sad to return this and definitely will rent it again! RTR has amazing customer service as well. When the backup size I requested was damaged by a previous renter, they worked with me to send me a backup dress that I liked. Every renting experience that I've had with RTR has been phenomenal and I can't wait for my next event to rent again

Beautiful dress - the back is adorable and the color is great. The skirt is a bit fuller than it appears in photos, and will probably need to be ironed/steamed to get the pleats to lay correctly. This was VERY short on me (though I am 5'11"). I wore this for my family's holiday card photo, but probably won't wear it to another event because the skirt felt too short to be comfortable moving around in. Still a gorgeous dress, and it photographs beautifully! Fit is true to size, maybe running a tiny bit small in the chest/torso.

This size ran true to size for me. I ordered a size 4 (my normal size) and a 6. I wore the 4 and it fit like it was made for my body. I didn't wear a bra, and the dress fully supported me.

Ordered the size 8 as my primary size because size 6 was not available. Overall the dress runs true to size so it was a bit roomy for me in the bust area. Having tried on the dress in the Kate Spade store I was impressed with my choice it was just as pretty as the one in the store. It's best worn without a bra if possible. Minor complaints would be the by looking at the bow I could tell the dress had been dry cleaned and the lining hung slightly below the dress on the right side

I wore this dress to dinner and Homecoming and it was perfect and so comfortable. I normally wear a 12, but I wore a 14 because the strap in the middle is a bit tight. However it fit great! I received dozens of compliments and was told I was Audrey Hepburn-esque. I was even told I was the best dressed by the photographer! I plan on renting this again for another dance later on.

Dress was GORGEOUS on! From all the pictures, I thought the dress would be a lot more shiny, like a satin, but it definitely was not. It was lightly textured like a cotton, but a little heavier. The material almost glowed, it was so pretty! I'm a pretty true 8, and the dress fit perfectly. It also had these wonderful deep pockets for holding my phone and lipstick without distorting the skirt. I also loved how the skirt had so much volume without any itchy tulle. The material was stiff enough to puff out without petticoats. You definitely need to go braless or use a backless bra - I used one of the silicone Nubras and it worked well. Overall, I felt awesome and got so many compliments! Highly recommend this dress!

The dress code for this event was "festive attire." For my height this dress was not too short; it was a comfortable length. It was a bit tight at the rib cage, but I guess that was a good thing because I couldn't wear a bra because it was backless. I loved the bow in the back and that it had pockets! Originally, when I received it I did not like how "worn" it looked. It looked like it had been dry cleaned 1,000 times! I actually brought it to my cleaners to have them press the pleats and puff up the bow. Overall it was a great rental!

LOVED the pockets, those were super helpful all night. The dress fit me very nicely, but I didn't fill out the top as well as some might. It was a bit short as well, but I was wearing tights so no biggie.

The dress fit true to size. I am typically a 0 or a 2 and the 2 fit great. The color photographs beautifully. My only negative was the way the dress was pressed left the skirt with an odd crease, it was not horrible but I noticed it as well as my girlfriends. Fortunately the skirt is full so that it hide the strange crease well in a dark ballroom.

This dress is really cute. However, it is very short. The color is not as bright as in the picture but still very pretty. I like the back of the dress. The dress can be use for any occasion.

The color is beautiful, and the pockets were a plus. Con: The zipper, seriously, that zipper was bad. Even hanging up I can't zip it all the way close it kept getting stuck. Otherwise the dress was perfect

I wore this Kate Spade number to a winter wedding and received a lot of compliments on it. The dress itself was a little bit loose and I probably could have gone for the size 2 instead. But it is overall a stunning color and the pockets are a lovely touch.

I wore this to a black tie optional wedding. I was surprised that the dress was a little roomy but it still worked. The back was gorgeous - compliments all night including the bride's mom. It was really comfortable too and had no trouble dancing.

Audrey Hepburn meets Sara Jessica Parker. A Classic dress with a eye catching style!! I felt great in this dress! The red, is a Ruby Red. I feel like it was a true size 6, I probably could've gotten away with wearing a 4, however I have a larger bust and the material is not forgiving in the bust area. You can't wear a bra with this dress - the back of this dress with Bow detail and open Square back is the best part!. Because I am a 34D I was able to wear this dress comfortably, with no bra. The bottom is a full skirt, toile effect with no toile, stays puffy all night. I was pleasantly surprised by this dress. And by the number of compliments I received from women and one woman's husband ("My wife loves your dress.")....I think it was a success! The only CONS: This dress is a heavy Polyester/Silk combo material, which gives a "rich look", however it does wrinkle. And with the full bottom skirt, it does make it a challenge to sit without wrinkling. I avoided best I could by flattening the skirt when I was about to sit. Also, If you have a smaller bust, I might suggest ordering a size down, however there is a "band" around the waist that seems to be true 6, and I have a larger rib cage so it fit me fine. Overall, truly rich feel, eye catching color with a classic sophisticated look and a sweet/sexy back!

I wore this dress for homecoming. I was elected by my class to be princess. Our class color is red, so I wanted to incorporate a dress with the same shade. I ended up picking this one, and I was disappointed with my choice. There is no stretch in the dress where it zips. I had to squeeze into my backup size, but because the fabric is so thick, you could hardly tell the dress didn't fit. Although it didn't look too small, it did not do my body justice either. The waist band sat higher than my own natural waist, and that feature just took away from my womanly figure. The dress was a classic style, but it just did not work in my bodies favor. For a petite body, this might be perfect, but for an average to plus size woman, I wouldn't recommend. Would I rent from this website again? Of course!!! This dress? not so much.

While it was fitted and therefore a bit snug through the chest, waist, and hips, the skirt was nice and flowy which was helpful as I happen to have a bit of a booty. The color was lovely, the bow was elegant and not childish, and I felt beautiful and sophisticated. The Kate Spade Pearl necklace was incredible as well and finished off my outfit with the bow clasp. Thank you RTR for helping my birthday be a magical evening.

This dress fit so well. I'm a bit short, so the shoulders were a little long, but not uncomfortable. It is not necessary to wear any kind of bra with the dress. I just used some "petals". The length was perfect or me, but if you have long legs, I could see where it could get short. I wore this dress with heels and flats and it looked spectacular either way. The lining was kind of peeking out, but it did not bother me at all and didn't take away from the look. Perfect for holiday parties!

I rented this dress for a cruise, where the first formal night fell on my birthday. This dress was fun and flirty and definitely stood out among the other formal wear dresses along the promenade. I had several people compliment the fit and style of the dress. I loved the voluminous skirt on this dress and the short torso fit my petite frame really well. The pockets were a nice touch and allowed me not to have to carry a bag for my cruise card and spare lipgloss. Since the back is such a statement I didn't wear a bra with this, but the top was fitted enough for me to feel secure and still able to breathe comfortably. The material was pretty thick, but we were inside for most of the evening. I wouldn't recommend for a humid outdoor event.

I wore this dress for our engagement photos. The color was so vivid and looked really great on camera. It was extremely comfortable, and the thick fabric was really forgiving and flattering. I would definitely rent this dress again! Love it!

This dress was stunning and I received compliments from strangers all night! The color is a stunning bright cherry red and the skirt is full and fun to dance in. I LOVED the back, though the front was pretty plain (I really should have rented a big statement necklace to dress it up...). I was unable to wear a bra with the low back but the dress is well-structured and the fabric thick enough that I didn't have to worry about my lack of coverage. Fair warning - there are a few seams that make the side zipper IMPOSSIBLE to close on your own. Though the dress fit comfortably, it took two friends to get me zipped in - plan accordingly & host a pre-party to ensure you have reinforcements :-)

This dress was ADORABLE! It fit me perfectly. I am about 5'4" and weight approximately 125 pounds. I wear a 32B bra. I got a size 4 and 6 and ended up wearing the 4. I am a bit pear shaped so this dress was perfect on me since it flares out. You cannot wear a bra and I was a bit worried about that, but did not need one at all. I got so many compliments all night. The dress really fits nicely and the fabric is great quality.

Fit like a glove, mostly true to size, arguably slightly big, but nevertheless comfortable and well-fitting. The volume of the skirt is perfect! So many compliments on such a lush dress!

i ordered a size 4 and it was a bit loose.

With the open back it's got to be a perfect fit to work. Industry elf, the top was too loose for me so it wouldn't stay up without tape which I didn't feel like fussing with.

I wasn't able to wear this dress as I couldn't get it zipped. I honestly should have ordered an 8, but I don't think that would have zipped, either. If your ribcage isn't really petite, size up! The dress itself is adorable. Would totally order it for a different event, just two sizes up!

This dress is super cute and fun (classic kate spade), but, sadly, I couldn't wear it because of the length - I'm 5'10'' and it didn't quite cover everything.

I had tried this dress on at Kate Spade and loved it but waited and then found it on RTR. It runs a little large, I tried on the 0 at the store but that was not available the weekend of my wedding, so I went with the 2. On top it was a little large, but overall it fit. I have seen the dress brand new in the store and the quality was beautiful, the quality of the dress I rented was not the same. I understand that I rented a dress that others have worn but this is the first dress I have received that looked very worn. This dress is still new and in the store so I think the dry cleaning process RTR used is a little too harsh for this particular dress material. The bow on the back was a lighter shade in some parts and the lining was longer than the hem of the dress. I had to safety pin the lining up so you could not see it. I would love to rent this again but I won't because I do not know how this will hold up under multiple cleanings. I love RTR and all the other dresses I have rented have never looked this worn.
