I wear a 4/6 in tops and a 6 in pants. I got a size 1 in this and it fit great everywhere but the mid section was very wide. I belted it in for this pic but might wear unbelted just has a baggier look. cute dress though and good quality

It’s always a little hard to tell from photos what a black dress actually looks like in person and unfortunately I did not like all of the fusty details of this one. From the elastic-seam waist to the hideous thin silk tie at the neck, to the bric a brac buttons, to the horrendous damask fabric (it’s got a daisy print woven into it), it’s like incredibly childish and frowsy at the same time. The childishness is due to the short length, common to Kooples dresses. Not my fave.

Thin and lightweight dress that can work for many occasions. Unusual style looked cool, but the issues with the shoulder seaming and sleeves outweighed that. It felt "wrong" all the time so I couldn't wear it out. Also a bit short for me as a middle aged lady.

Originally rented for a night out but that all changed with covid. So decided to do a #fancyfriday at home during the quarantine. Sized down and fit perfectly. Love the detail on the sleeves!

This dress can do it all! Dress it up or down, it's a LBD with a twist. The fabric has a subtle print and the ruffles add an unexpected touch. The dress was certainly more fitted than it appeared on the model so if you want a loose fit, size up. There is an elastic waistband that cinches the dress in at the middle. I'm 5'9 and the dress was pretty short on me.

So chic, extremely soft silky fabric, lots of fun with the button detail, shoulders and arms, and tie at the neck. Highly suggest renting this is any season!!

This dress is so fierce! I loved the detailing on the sleeves and the length was perfect on my 5'6 frame.

The sleeves and shoulders kept slipping on me, not a great fit for a tall person. Short waisted and short in the legs. Pass if you're over 5'5". Thin material, too -- not really winter ready.

Wore this for my birthday and it fit perfectly. It was on the shorter side, but not to the point I was worried about it/ had to wear leggings.

As others have noted, the seams on the shoulders/arms are a bit odd - you definitely feel like they're twisting & they don't sit at the center of your shoulders/arms. I found it looked good with the ruffles draped back or forward. My only complaint was the material. I was sweating...a lot. To the point where I decided I'd developed an excessive-sweating problem and nearly called my doctor-friend to tell me if that was possible and if I was having a heart attack (okay, maybe I have anxiety).

Loved it was comfortable and looked great on !

A little short, so I wore with tights and boots - but overall, it was a great dress. Loved that you could tie to close it up at the top or wear it open.

The fabric is lovely and the sleeve detailing is really unique and makes this more than a basic black dress. The buttons in the front also make this dress look a bit more delicate (but beware it's low cut). My only issue is that this dress was SO short. I'm only 5'4" so I don't usually have that issue but I couldn't raise my arms because of how short it was, and I was tugging it down a lot! Would consider sizing up.

This dress is super short. I am 5’1” and it was almost uncomfortable for me to wear. The sleeves are also cut in a way that if you raise your arms ever so slightly the dress becomes shorter. This was overall too large for me too. Didn’t love.

Unique design and good length but overall loose and the neckline plunges very deep with gaps between the buttons. Seems impractical to wear.

The most bizarre sizing. I sized up per reviews and it was a fine length but sooo big elsewhere. Looked like I was wearing my grandma’s nightgown. Also the front is a deeper slit than advertised. The detailing is so cute and femme tho

Weird sleeves cut makes it pretty hard to wear this dress. The frill along the sleeve keeps moving front or back but never right in place. Unfortunately, I couldn’t wear it at all;(

LOVED this dress, wore out for date night, and added a camisole underneath for a fun work outfit.

I loved the material but the entire dress seemed to run short. It was very short on the legs and fit high on my waist - above my natural waist and I do not have a long torso. Also the sleeves fit a little weird in the seems. That being said, I still liked it and would recommend renting. Sizing up might help but then it would also be pretty big in the chest area I would think. Great material!

Drop sleeve & a shoulder seam that fell back- the fit of the top part was uncomfortable. the seams didn't line up correctly anywhere and I was pulling constantly. I couldn't wear out in public because I would be adjusting it constantly!! Wearing it around to break up quarantine was fine. The pattern was odd!
