I loved wearing this! I guess the cut it a bit boxy but it fit me perfectly and had a bit of definition so looked flattering. Worked well with high waisted pants and I like a turtleneck best with the collar. The jacket has a lovely piped detail that gives it a lady-like vintage vibe. Cotton velvet is not to shiny. For me it fit well in the arms/shoulders. I’m high wasted so the short length worked well. Perfect for day to eve. And warm.

Was tight across the chest, I'm a 34C, but it looked lovely buttoned almost all the way up as well with the shirt I chose for the event. Got several compliments on the lovely velvet and structure of it.

Arms were a little tight with a layer underneath. No stretch.

Wore this over the Marina Moscone velvet slip dress. The lining is pretty thick so it was good protection from the chilly air. Size up if you are wearing sleeves with any substance underneath, but it worked for me! The closure hook at the bottom was bent out from previous use—would not recommend trying to wear it closed. There is a deep inside pocket which was very handy, as well as small outer jacket pockets.

It can definitely be tight in the arms when you lift them up. It also does not really give any shape or probably do too many favors for your curves, but I still liked it. Probably won’t rent again but recommend a try!

i wore it to work and then out for dinner/a show in the evening and it was perfect. it keeps you warm so not for warmer weather

Love this jacket. I want to buy it! It's a bit short in the torso, but I think that's the style (and I have a long torso). The sleeves were nice and long.

Great fitted blazer. Went with 3 different outfits on my work trip.

Perfect for Gala or night out. Would probably work great with a pair of jeans.

Love the structure of this jacket and thinking about buying it. It adds a polished third layer to outfits and just looks so nice. If you have short arms or order a bracelet length sleeve, the cuffs fold under easily.

so many compliments on this beautiful black velvet jacket. It’s difficult to tell in the photos, but it has an exaggerated shoulder and hook and eye closures down the front. It was a great light jacket for a formal events and I think would be fun for a night out with jeans and a T-shirt. Highly recommend!

I didn’t get to wear this because of a heat wave but I will rent this again. It’s beautifully made and is a cute cut. It doesn’t look matronly, which I think sometimes happens with velvet.

This jacket has just the right amount of attitude and shoulder pad. I wore with a high wasted black pleather pant and pop of color silk shirt and it felt so edgy, trendy, vibe-y and cool. Loved it!

Cut very very small. Had to order 2 sizes up to fit.

I paired this with a Veronica Beard shirt and a wine colored RTR shirt. The jacket worked well with both. The arms are a little snug. I was able to button or leave open - both nice options.

jacket wasn’t too cropped and not too long (compared to usual jackets) so fit my height and proportions well. love the button details. more on the fitted side.

Wore this to work around the holidays and it was good, not great. It was the right size, just a boxy fit. The velvet was luxurious and very warm too. Wouldn’t be a top pick for me to rent again, but maybe.

Beautiful jacket, but there is no structure. The velvet on the outside is heavier than the inner lining, causing it to puff and sag.
