I rented this dress for an office party! Nice fit! I it runs true to size, i would recommend going up a size for backup. Lots of complements all night long.

I wore this to a rehearsal dinner and got so many compliments. The dress is elegant with an edgy flare. I wore the small and it fit like a glove. The slit is slightly on the higher end but didn't pose a problem. Absolutely loved this dress! Perfect for multiple occasions.

This dress is a great class, yet sexy option. As mentioned by other reviewers, the slit goes fairly high up your thigh, but the ruffle disguises this while standing. I didn't find it so high as to be indecent. The material is thick and has little stretch. I found it slightly loose on me (32B bust, 35" hips), but it wasn't sloppy or baggy. The single strap holds the entire dress up very well and you could wear a standard strapless bra or none at all (I used a sticky backless one solely because standard strapless ones tend to end up around my waist quickly). I wouldn't rent it again, but only because there are so many other awesome options from Rent the Runway that I would love to try!

Unique twist on the LBD!

This was a last minitr rental in the store for the same weekend and ended up being PERFECt. I went to a work holiday party, so not much movement. But the split did open up a bit while sitting for dinner (its unavoidable). I originally thought the medium since i wear a 4/6 but it was a bit baggy and felt like the top wouldnt stay up. The small was a little tough to zip into but i definitly felt secure all night and it hugged in all the right places!

I rented this dress as a backup for my other choice and turned out liking this one more! It was super comfortable; the fabric was thick and I didn't feel like it was skin tight. I got so many compliments throughout the night! It was a little big at the top and I had to pull it up several times while dancing, and the slit went super high when sitting, but other than that, it was the perfect dress and I would rent it again.

I loved this dress! I found this gem last minute before an out of town wedding. I always gravitate toward LBDs but this one was definitely different than the rest. The only con is the slit when you're sitting. It did go a little far up when I sat down but it wasn't terrible, especially when we sat down for dinner, nobody could tell.

Received several compliments; the slit is sexy & looks great dancing; I feel I'm too short for it; swallowed me; should have worn red platform shoes and a chunky diamond necklace to liven it up; arm straps fell all night so use fabric tape; the hanger strap sticks out; go for it if taller and want to show a leg.

The material was thick, but breathable. The slit is high but it doesn't open too much. Only down side was this size has probably been squeezed into a few times so it's a little loose on the grip around the bust and back.

The dress is sexy and hot! Ladies, this is a date night dress, vacation dress or Vegas. The split it way too high to be conservative at a wedding. It's impossible to keep your lady parts covered sitting down. If you're going to a cocktail hour and don't mind show some thigh.. go all in!

The dress makes your waist look smaller. I normally wear a medium but I wore this in a large. The dress was so comfortable and I felt so good in it.

When I first tried it on I was a little bit uneasy because the lower of the two straps laid so weird on my arm. Once I tucked that lower strap into the dress I knew I could make it work though. The night of the event I felt really confident and got compliments not only from my date but also random women walking past me. For $30 it was a great dress for a fun night out!

This dress definitely makes a statement! I received lots of compliments. I love the shoulder detail and the slit. I would warn that those who are shy about revealing too much leg may want to steer clear. The slit is quite high, especially when sitting. As far as fit I found the dress to be a bit too tight in the ribs/bodice area. I generally wear a size 2 or 4 in dresses and ordered a small in this. It fit perfectly in the hips and waist, was just a bit too snug towards the top of the zipper. For context I'm a 34B, so I'm not particularly busty and usually the top portion of dresses are an easy fit. Overall, I was really happy with this style and would definitely recommend it to others.

Good things: Cute neckline and shoulder cutout, great shape with the kick flare, and thick fabric Bad things: Didn't fit perfectly or hug my curves like other RTR dresses have, and the slit is VERY HIGH. I pinned it and it was still a little too much for me. I would not recommend for dancing or you may be in trouble!

This was fun to wear but not for the modest. The slit on the leg goes really high - I had to request a black napkin to sit at dinner and covered my leg with a purse at the party. The material is thick so very forgiving and keeps you held in. I used double-sided tape on the strap or it would have kept falling down. I'd rent this dress again but would have sewed the ruffles together on the thigh for modesty.

I loved the shape and flow of this dress. Quality was top notch and perfect for a winter wedding. I usually wear a medium or size 6, the medium fit in the chest/rib cage area great but the bottom half was very large. I ended up wearing the small that was tight on the ribs, with no give, but looked better overall. The slit on the leg is just the right amount of sneaky sexy standing and walking. But holy moly watch out sitting and dancing! Napkins were placed on the lap at dinner for sure and dancing definately shows off whether or not you've been hitting leg day at the gym! If you're not a leg person or afraid of showing leg, this may not be for you. Also dancing, you'll only be throwing one hand up in the air due the the constricting second arm strap.

Overall I think this dress was really pretty and perfect for a wedding or formal event. I ordered a small and a medium; the small was a little tight around my ribcage and hips and the medium was a little big everywhere. I wound up wearing the small. I don't really think it runs small or large OR is true to size. It is kind of cut a bit strange. There isn't much give or stretch to the fabric, so keep that in mind when breaking it down on the dance floor or pulling it up to use the restroom, which, when doing so, I accidentally ripped the slit a bit! The slit is a bit deceiving on the website; it goes up a lot further than it looks online. The ruffles actually meet at a point on your upper thigh; I didn't mind it (super sexy), but just be aware that when you sit you will be showing some major thigh. I wore a spanx thong (thank god for spanx!) and no bra with the dress and I felt well contained. You could very easily wear a strapless or a sticky bra, I didn't have much room and since it was so tight I didn't really need one anyway. Also, it is way longer in the back than in the front; I'm pretty tall and the back was almost at my mid calf when standing straight. This was my first RTR and I think I had a pretty good experience and would rent again.

Rented this for a gala in NYC - I loved the top how it had a flirty one shoulder, it made the dress stand out. The ruffles on the bottom are a savior for the extremely high slit. I was self conscious of the slit all night so if you are planning on dancing in this dress I would advice against it. I had my purse on my lap all night for the event to cover my lady parts! Wore the medium which was loose in the chest but fit better in my thighs and behind!

Rented it for company year end party since my date is visiting and she does not have any dress for the occasions. Very good material and fit my partner very well. She is 5'5 and S size. The slit is high so she has to be careful when sitting down but she find it sexy to expose her nice thighs and long legs. I was prepared with pins to close the slit but she prefer to expose and does not seem to be bother with the cut.

I got a million compliments. Literally people said I was the best dressed person at the event. I felt amazing in it. The bust is a little large so you have to figure out cups or something if you are small chested. I just safety pinned cups in and it worked well. This dress is perfect for someone in the 5’3-5’6 range. Slit is pretty high but looks awesome!

PROS: super chic, loved the fit, slit was sexy, once I got the straps to the place where they were supposed to be it fit much better (initially had them on backward), material was thick so good for outdoor wedding. CONS: the slit when sitting down was almost up to my underwear -- very very VERY high up on your thigh when sitting. Really really lived this rental!

For someone who is small chested and chose not to wear a strapless bra, the dress had a little extra space in the top, but still looked great. The slit is pretty high so I used a safety pin to make it not as dramatic. Got tons of compliments! The XS had just the amount of room, too. It wasn't skin tight and was very comfortable.

This was my back up dress - unfortunately it didn't zip up all the way. I ordered a medium And should have sized up to a large. My build is 5'5" 160lbs of athletic /muscular/hourglass build. (Not a tall thin model) Medium would have worked if my upper body wasn't so muscular haha I so badly wished it would have fit but didn't have time to get the larger size. I will probably order in the future but again size up . The slit is high, but the dress is great material and would have been amazing to wear if it had fit.
