This is a really cute dress for a party or evening out. You can't tell from the photos but it does have a slit between the torso and skirt (like a mid-riff), however, it isn't really visible depending on how you tie it at the waist.

Really fun dress for a winter date night for Valentine's Day! The material is super soft and comfy. Can't see the slit in the middle at all with the tie across the waist. Could be dressed up or down. The S was too small and tight around the body and the M was a little baggy on top but overall much more conformable to wear. I wore it with booties and felt very chic!

Fabric was a little sheer around bottom half but worn with tights and it's no problem. This fit well, hugging in all of the right places.

It was a great fit and I loved the wrap tie in the front, it gave the dress a nice shape and silhouette. The one issue is it just started to lose its tightness over time. The fabric got loose in places which made it eventually be slightly oversized on my upper body and where you had tied it. But I really enjoyed this dress! There is an open slit in the middle which I was able to keep covered by tying it appropriately.

This dress is a must for every girl's closet. It fits like a glove. Itsflattering in every way - the cut out makes it sexy and edgy! In love!

This dress was a pretty easy fit and can be dressed up or down. It has an almost separate piece that makes it look like a top and skirt with the ties at the waist. You can adjust to make it flattering for your body type.

Fabric was a little itchy to me

This dress is supposed to have a tie in the front, which if you have a problem area that you want to disguise it's great. If not it's bulky in my opinion. So I decided to crisscross the rather large tie and close it with a pin. I loved it then and so did my husband. It is a nice fit and not too heavy. It does have a separation at the waist, which was again unnecessary in my opinion. But the crisscross tie ended up working out great for me. Not too long, not too short, I wore it more than once. A nice staple to have in your closet...I love my unlimited so I always have it in my closet!

A sweater dress can be plain, but this style adds some flair with both the midriff cutout, as well as the flaps. The midriff is not visible unless you want it to be. This is a great winter dress!

This dress hugs your whole body, includes a cut out at the waist that you can hide or open up, and is perfect for fall. Beware the hemline riding up when walking - but it's only minor.

I loved this! I kept it for a couple of weeks and wore it a few times. It's tight but super comfortable, and the tie at the front will hide any burritos you want to eat while wearing it. It's long enough that it still works for work, even with the exposed skin and tightness. I wore this to work into dates and felt awesome - tons of compliments.

I rented this for a casual bachelorette weekend in the mountains. We went out to a nice dinner one night, and I wanted something warm, but still fun, and this fit the bill! As other reviewers mentioned, the top is separate in the front and if you google the dress, it's shown with the midriff shown on one of the models. However, you have to really try to make that work; the top has to be pulled up more than it should, and the skirt needs to be pulled down more than it should. So, I wouldn't worry about showing skin if that's not what you're looking for (unless you're really tall and busty maybe?). The medium was never sent to me, but the small fit perfectly. The material is thin, but I didn't think it was too thin. Thick enough to not be see-through, but thin enough to not roast if you're dancing, etc.

This is such a flattering dress!

Flattering on me, I'm small-ish but not like, washboard small, so fits like this that are sort of ideal, straight, not skintight, thicker fabric etc are and awesome sexy match and what I like. I wore this to a professional presentation in front of older and more professional people than myself who I had not met yet, but still wanted to look chic and confident for it while giving no doubts about my seriousness. Doubled as my birthday date dress and on the first cold day of the year, with icy rain, I still felt pretty comfortable without needing a coat. Wore it from early in the am, to hospital, for the presentation, to late at night, Ubers, walking, fancy hotel, a bar, home. I felt dressed perfectly for myself the entire day. Wish I could own the dress.

this is the ideal winter sweater dress! Wore it to work and 2 different holiday parties, was a big hit!

I rented this on through the Thanksgiving Rent One get 2 free promotion and loved it so much that I found a great Black Friday Steal and bought it. It is very flattering, especially if you have a little bit of a pooch in the middle. It is wool which some people may find itchy, it didn't bother me. It is thinner than most sweater dresses, so you definitely need tights or leggings. If you google the dress you will see a much different picture- one that shows a bare midriff. I appreciate that RTR did not use that photo, because I would have not rented a bare midriff dress. You can wear it easily without that showing, just like in the RTR photo. The sweater arms that tie around the middle would hide that part, but the sweater top came down also. It is hard to describe the construction, but as a very long time renter, trust me, the dress is great!

Loved it so much - perfect fit, so comfortable. Wore it out to dinner and then to work. Doesn't show stomach if you don't want it to. You can pull the skirt up higher. Received so many compliments!

First of all I sized up to a large since I'm always afraid of sweater dresses being too form fitting for work. I could have gone with the medium after all but still felt comfy in the large for work. The material is not too heavy which made it perfect office attire and the cute belt that looks like a sweater is wrapped around your waist was so edgy and fun. I was worried that there would be some tummy showing as stated in a previous review but I did not have that problem. It was definitely work appropriate. I will definitely rent again in a medium.

I live this dress so much that I think I might have to own it! Super cute, form fitting, sleek, show just a peak of tummy! Plus, the cute waist ties set it apart from just your regular run on the mill black body con dress.

There wasn't a S available so I went with the M. It fits tru to size or slightly bigger so I felt a bit sloppy. It's surprisingly well made and the material was comfortable. I'd rent it again but in the proper size.

I loved this and would keep it if the neck weren't so itchy!

this dress is really flattering -- the tie waist covers any stomach pop you might have -- and the rest fits well vs. being a saggy sweater dress. I will say it's a bit odd if you think about it too much. when it's on the hanger it looks like two shirts on top of each other. But cute enough no one else seemed to notice!

I usually wear a size 10 dress and the large fit well , a little roomy. I had a medium as a back up and that was too clingy. Great proportion's and length, I think it would work well for just about anyone

This is a versatile dress that can be worn from office to dinner. It is warm sweater weight, with a flattering tie belt at the waist. One awkward detail is the cutout in the waistline, that can open if you don't tie the belt tightly. Overall, an attractive dress.

I rented this dress for thanksgiving and didnt end up wearing it. For starters I didnt check the material and realized it was wool when I tried it on and noticed how itchy it was (I'm allergic to wool). I'm sure it would be a very warm and comfy dress for those that can wear it. That aside, the design is a little weird. It looks like you have sleeves tied around your waist, which is a little odd. There is a gap in the front because the waist is not attached to the top in the front. But you can easily shimmy the bottom up or down to turn it into a cropped front. Overall (being wool aside) I wouldn't pick this dress simply because it was nothing special compared to all the other pieces I've rented.

I liked this dress for 30 seconds and then realized I couldn't breathe bc the neck was far too tight. The fit everywhere else was great and was super flattering but I had to return it immediately because I knew I couldn't handle more than 10 minutes in it :(

The tie sits way lower on my hips than I thought it would! I have a short torso, and I thought it would tie around my waist, but it actually falls at the hip. Also has a big opening in the midsection that the tie covers. Just not really flattering on me.
