Black tie optional wedding. This dress fits a little big. I only wear a size 2 in dresses if they are really stretchy or run large bc I wear a UK30FF / US 30H bra. This dress does have stretch which is great for dancing and moving around, but it is thick so it got warm by the end of the dancing. I didn't have to wear a bra bc it fit so well, which never happens for me. Tons of compliments. I'm 5'2" and with 3 in heels the dress was a fine length, but the back did touch the ground. I weigh 135-139 generally. 29in waist.

This was my first Rent the Runway experience and I couldn't have been more pleased! The dress was amazing. I normally wear an 8 but never know how nice dresses run, so I was nervous about getting the right size. The 8R worked perfectly! I did wear spanx to help smooth everything out. At first I thought the top was too loose but I realized I didn't have all the claps done up the back. After that, it fit perfectly! I'm a 34DD and it may have been a little too boobalicious for a work event but it was perfect for this non-work event.

This was my second time to rent this dress, and I loved it again! The color is a subtle and elegant alternative to formal black, and the fabric is substantial enough to hug your curves and drape just right. The lace insets are a bit scratchy but really add interest to the otherwise simple design. The description says there's no stretch, but I disagree. I'm 5'8" and the longer length worked perfectly with 3" heels.

I went a size down compared to normal (the backup size came in clutch) and it fit almost perfectly! The fabric was nice, the lace was really pretty (a little itchy), and the length was great.

This dress has a lot of stretch, and the material is heavy so I didn't have to worry about undergarments. The lace panel and lower cut front makes wearing a bra difficult, so I just skipped it. The lace was a little scratchy, but I got used to it pretty quickly. Overall, I really enjoyed wearing this dress.

This fit much better than my original choice, it ran true to size. Needed a strapless bra and spanx to smooth it out. The 10R allowed my 3 inch heel to peek if it falls longer you'll drag the back.

It fit perfectly across the hips and back. Very flattering cut for my body. I was nervous about the bust because I don’t have much but some garment tape made this a non-issue. The lace accents played up an already stunning gown. I cannot recommend this dress enough!

The dress was very comfortable! I received a lot of complements. I was able to easily wear a strapless bra that didn't show, even with the plunging neckline. The material was perfect weight for a winter event.

I wore a strapless bra and was able to hide it no problems. I also wore shape wear underneath to keep everything smooth looking as the dress is form fitting. The event ended up being less formal, which is the only reason I didn't wear this dress. Fit like a glove and felt great. The long was a good length (I'm 5'6" and inseam is 33).

I really couldn't have imagined a better dress for my friends wedding. Simple and sleek. The fabric was comfortable and easy to move in. The flute at the bottom was super flattering and the back of the dress was gorgeous. Really love love

This dress might be my all time favorite rental. The fit was perfect. Hourglass shape, a little low cut but was able to wear a plunge strapless bra. Gave me a great shape , hugged all the right places. The material was stretchy and there was room in the tummy area. Would definitely rent again!

This dress fit beautifully. It was a heavier material so for a winter wedding it was perfect. The only thing I had trouble with was that I don't have a big chest (large A/small B) and I had to purchase a deep plunge stick on bra to wear with this dress for list and to fill it. Other than that I danced the night away and was complimented all night.

I ordered this as the backup dress for my friend's wedding. She had asked me to be one of her bridesmaids and had specified that I needed a long dark purple dress. I originally had my eye on a different dress which I ordered as my main dress. This was my backup dress just in case though I thought I wouldn't really need it. I tried this dress on and was immediately in love. It fit like a glove and went perfectly with the flat shoes she had instructed us to wear (I am 5 ft 5 in for reference). The dress is definitely clingy, especially across the middle, but fit very well. It also has a super deep v-neck, making a bra nearly impossible. However, I was fine without a bra and just using some pasties since the top section was fitted enough.

The fit, length and color were stunning! I was able to dance all night and even ate a great meal without feeling like I was going to bust out the dress! Lol! Perfect dress for my pear shape. I'm 5'7, 195lbs and wear a 14 on average for reference.

The dress was the perfect color for a November wedding. It hugged in all the right places yet was stretchy enough to be comfortable and move around.

The dress fit really well. The long worked better as I was wearing 3 inch heels and the regular length you could see a lot of the shoes. It had enough support to go without a bra (which I never do) so that was nice. Able to wear an under garnet without it showing through. Great dress and would rent it again.

This dress's fabric really made it- it was thick enough where I didn't feel the need to wear Spanx and had some stretch so I could dance. The lace wasn't irritating like some lace is and the color was pretty. I will say, I'm a solid 10 in most formal dresses and I wore the 8 with wiggle room. Also, I am 5'8" and the dress was still a little short- I was told I had the 8L but believe it was just an 8.

This dress worked well on my post-partum, still-breastfeeding body. I feel like it would be flattering on most and appropriate for almost any formal occasion. I'm 5'11 and wore a very low heel with the long dress.

Rented this a couple months in advance. I was reluctant because I was not sure what size I would be. I was 7 months pregnant and this dress fit so well. The material was perfect for a fall wedding and had a little give in all the right places.

This was a great dress! I am 5'5" and about 130lbs. I rented it in a 2R and 4R and the 2 was the better fit however with my 4" heels the dress was too short. Customer service overnighted me a 2L and it was a perfect fit! I highly recommend RTR and this dress! My only complaint is that the lace was a little itchy. Overall all the dresses we're clean and odorless. The size 4R did have a small hole in the side where the stitching on the seam had come apart. Not a problem for me though since I didn't wear that size.

The color was beautiful. The material was perfect for the evening indoor gala. I was able to go bra less and because of my chest size felt very comfortable. The lace straps were a little itchy but nothing that was annoying. I'm petite and had to wear 4 inch heels. It was very comfortable. I highly recommend this dress.

I received compliments all night and in the following days after wearing this dress to a formal fundraising gala for the hospital I work at. I ended up wearing my back up size, only because the original size was a little loose in the straps/shoulder area as I have a very short torso for how tall I am. I wore the long and the front of the dress was angled just enough that a cute pair of shoes made the length work. Overall, I couldn't be more pleased with how this dress looked and made me feel! Would definitely recommend it!

This dress was perfect! Color is much more purple in person. The Lace detail is beautiful. The fabric has nice stretch to hold you in place. Plunge neck was just the right depth. I wore a black strapless convertible bra and you couldn't see it at all. Also super easy to dance in!

I loved the fit of this dress. It was a thicker fabric so it smoothes out any lumps or bumps. It felt true to size or even slightly big. I ordered a 4 and a 6, wore the 4 but would have been curious to try the 2. Id say if you are ordering a back up, consider sizing down.

I loved this rental. The material is rich and heavy but comfy with enough stretch that I could breathe. It hugged all of the right places and made me feel beautiful. I used a little fashion tape on the neckline to keep everything in place. This is a beautiful gown with a bit of old Hollywood glam. I would definitely rent it again.

I LOVED this dress. The fabric was thick so every bump didn't show. It was incredibly comfortable and i got lots of compliments. It is low in front so if you have a large chest, the girls are going to get attention.

I had actually ordered a previous dress/gown from RTR and it was too short as I am 5'8. I called RTR and they got a new dress to me the NEXT day! I love this dress so much better, the color was great, the fabric was great, the fit was great! I have no complaints at all!!

This dress is very comfortable. It moves and stretches with you so it's comfortable to eat, sit and stand and dance/walk around in. Also the fabric is nice and thick with a lining so you don't get the panty line and bumps. The color is gorgeous in person. The back can be worn open like the photo or closed completely (if you can get your partner to stand there and hook it all the way).

Probably could have gone down to a size 6 but still fit nicely. Length was perfect with heels as I am 5'9
