It's definitely a winter type dress. It's a little heavy, so I did get hot dancing on the dance floor. I rented a 10 and 12 I had a baby 2 months prior, so not my normal size. Prior to baby I was a size 8 to 6.

I wanted something fun and sparkly, but something that I'd be able to cover my arms in. This dress was perfect! I was able to dance the night away and didn't feel constricted, or like the dress was wearing me - I WAS WEARING THE DRESS. The 8 fit, but I felt more comfortable in the 10. I did find a similar necklace that was shown on the model, and it did add the extra flair that I wanted.

Loved this dress! The tweed is a deep rich navy with subtle shimmer topped with darling contrasting sequin polka dots! Keep in mind, if you have wider hips, the pockets do pucker out a little bit, and although the 6 did lay a little flatter, the length and proportion of the 4 was much more flattering. My favorite rental by a long shot. Thank you Rent the Runway!

Perfect for winter parties where you want to have covered arms because it's cold outside. I wore the size 12. Would have liked it in a 14 but the 12 worked fine. It has POCKETS! What dress these days has pockets!?! Loved them. The neckline is beautiful and the material, even the sequins are super soft. Highly recommend this dress. Got compliments all night long!

I usually wear a 4 but wore a 2 in this dress. This dress was so flattering - I would rent it again. The material is heavy so with long sleeves, it is perfect for a winter wedding or holiday party. Alluring enough without showing off too much.

I rented this for my bff's bridal shower. I have a habit of wearing items the untraditional way, so I quickly found myself trying to reinvent this dress. Not that it needed to- as its a stunning dress as is, but I found if I slipped it on backwards it provided a sexy plunging neckline accommodating for my 32b frame. Bustier ladies might not be able to get away with this! Wearing it backwards also revealed the silver zipper; I liked this look and didn't find it out of place! I felt like a supermodel all day. The bride even told me her family kept commenting on how breathtakingly gorgeous I looked. The dress material is of a heavier tweed material that was perfect for the chillier weather, though it did get a bit toastier in doors. In photos it looks shorter than it was - it was just a tad over the knee, which for me was okay because the sexiness of the plunging neckline was already there! I paired with the Slate and Willow clipons to complete the edgy look.

I ordered the 2 and 4 and ended up wearing the 2. The 4 was a bit bulky in the chest/waist. It gives you a nice shape without being tight or clingy. At 5'9 , I was concerned it would be too short. It was definitely short but not inappropriate. The material is heavy and nice quality. It is such a striking dress with a nice v-shape in the back. It is a perfect fall and winter dress. I would love to order again and wear with tights for a holiday party. No negative things to say about this dress! I loved it.

This dress is fully lined, so do not wear it in warm weather. It's a very fun dress, and I received many compliments. The material and make is high quality. I wore a size smaller than I normally do. I found it tight in the shoulders (similar to wearing a capped sleeve dress).

This dress was overall great! The fabric was thick and really luxurious. I wore it to my law school's formal in February and it was a great choice. It fit true to size, but because of the style and fabric, was a little tight under the arms so I couldn't really lift my arms up fully (certainly not a fatal flaw). The length and dip in the back were also great...the dress was the perfect combination of sexy and classic. What I didn't like about the dress was the pockets. Normally I love pockets on dresses, but because of the thick fabric, I felt like the seams on my hips stuck out a bit and made my hips look bigger than they are (but that's probably just me being picky). The other bad thing was the long ribbons on the shoulders that are used to hang the dress on a hanger. Because I rented the dress, I couldn't cut them out like I normally would and they kept poking out of the dress. Again, these were not fatal flaws to the dress and overall I loved it! I wore it with a yellow Kate Spade necklace and earrings (both rented), a pair of Coach heels, a mid-thigh length vintage fur coat (wish I had a picture of it!), and a white vintage Chanel purse. It was such a great retro-glam look, I got many compliments!

This dress was warm and made me feel comfortable and chic all night. The fit was a little snug around the waist and the pockets tend to stick out if you have hips (like I do), but the sequins look beautiful in photos. It is a bit challenging to dance since the sleeves/shoulder area is constricting, but it was a beautiful and different look for a winter wedding.

The sleeves were long like other reviews mentioned but it was easy to tuck under. I ended up not wearing a bra and it was fine. This was a great dress that was different, fun but still conservative enough for my husbands xmas party.

Great for cold weather, but I got really hot while dancing. This dress was super fun and I got tons of compliments--dress is well lined, but at neck it was itchy. No stretch in the dress, but very forgiving. I didn't have to wear spanx!

So I'm a true size 10, but took a chance squeezing into this size 8 because this was a last minute rental and the 10 wasn't available. Luckily no one knew because the fabric was thinker, and spanx saved me. Definitely wasn't breathing full breaths, but I got a ton of compliments, and the color was beautiful and unique. Dress wasn't too short either.

Wore this for NYE. I'm usually between a 10 and a 12, but with all the holiday cookies I wore the 12. It runs true to size. The sleeves were a little longer than I expected, but not too long that I couldn't wear it. It's definitely a heavy dress. Perfect for winter. I wouldn't wear it any other time of the year. One thing I didn't like was the pockets...dont get me wrong, I love a dress with pockets, but if you have a little curve to you in the hip area the pockets stick out. I wish they were sewn. I had to keep pulling the dress down all night to make the pockets lie flat. The only reason I'm giving it 4 stars was because it looked a little "worn" It was kind of fraying at the bottom. I was able to wear a normal bra, just slid the straps over a bit because it is wide at the shoulders. The sequence didn't bother me at all. Wasn't to "sparkly" Just right for a classy NYE party at an art museum.

My dad's birthday is New Year's Eve so we always go to the Ritz Carlton in Orlando for the big party they have there. This dress was perfect for the type of party and I got tons of compliments on it. I wear a size 10 normally so it stayed true to size but the fabric is extremely heavy and has very little give if the dress "fits". Sitting wasn't uncomfortable but it did get pretty tight after a couple hours. Overall I loved it!

I originally wanted to order a size 10 with a size 8 backup, but both were out of stock at the time. The 12 ended up fitting pretty well since I have a larger chest but I found myself wanting to take it in just slightly around my ribcage because the larger size felt a little boxy. The dress is really warm so if wouldn't recommend it for a summer affair, but it's perfect for winter. Overall I gave this dress 4 stars because I was really happy with how it worked out in the end.

Really pretty color; shiny but still expensive looking material. I wore it to my company Christmas party and it was perfect for the cocktail dress attire. Figure flattering but not revealing. Skirt is 2/3 between hips and thighs so not too short but still shows a little leg. This dress is great for a woman with cup size C - DD. You can wear a normal bra which is a huge plus in my opinion. The only drawback is that material doesn't have much give.

I wore this dress to a wedding in early Nov in Northern CA. I ordered a 4 and a 6 due to recent weight gain, but should have tried the O and 2. The dress would have been perfect if it was a little shorter and tighter. For pics I had to reach around and grab the extra fabric to make the dress look like it fit (shorter and tighter). The fabric is also really heavy, so I almost didn't need a coat until nightfall. I would definitely recommend, just go smaller than usual (especially if you're on the shorter side).

I rented this dress for a Clinton Foundation event where the dress code was "smart-casual." It was a little bit more dressy than the other attendees because of the sparkly polka dots, but they werent overwhelming. I received alot of compliments on the fit of the dress and the subtle sparkle. Its a great length for a more conservative event. The sleeves hit at a some what odd length and they arent very fitted. Its a bit tight in the shoulder area. Overall, I really loved the dress - fun, subtle, comfy, great for outdoors.

I thought the dress ran pretty true to size and was very comfortable and flattering. And I loved the pockets! The sleeves were a lot longer than the picture showed (came all the way to my wrists) so I ended up rolling them up inside and they stayed pretty much the whole night. The sequins were a bit rough and could rip stockings if you aren't careful. Didn't have a lot of flexibility to raise my arms but it wasn't a big deal. Overall I loved the dress and got a ton of compliments.

I ordered this as a backup dress for a party I was going to. Wore the first dress to the party, but loved this one to, so wore it out with friends the next night. Comfortable and easy to move around in. Sequins are subtle. I liked the high neckline in the front and the sort-of open/lower back. Thick material, definitely very warm. Would rent again for a winter party that was outsides (I live in Florida).

Beautiful dress! Material does not have a lot of give, so I opted for the larger size of the two that were sent, and I danced for the entire night. The dress was a fairly thick fabric, so I was plenty warm at a December wedding in the Colorado mountains. The neckline was a little higher than I would normally prefer, but I would absolutely wear this again.

I wore this to my husbands firm Christmas party. It's a huge party with 500+ people, and I definitely felt like a stand out in this dress. This dress is very warm. I had read that in other reviews, but I was surprised that the dress was a tweed fabric with sequins. Like tweed jacked material, so it is thick. I couldn't lift my arms up in this dress which was no big deal. Also a bit itchy. Definitely loved the dress. It was longer on me than the model, but I expected that since I'm 5'2".

I wore this dress to my book launch party. As the author, it was important that I look womanly and striking. I definitely felt like this dress hit the nail on the head. It was elegant, sexy, and classic, and the fabric and the fit were both incredibly flattering and comfortable. I got compliments all night, but mostly, I felt like the dress made ME shine. I paired it simply, with a double strand of pearls that echoed the sequin polka dot pattern of the dress, and because it was a warm fall night, wore bare legs with wine-colored suede pumps. I highly recommend this dress for anyone with a slightly pear shape as the skirt is a-line (this is NO bandage dress, thank goodness), and the three-quarter length sleeves give it a slightly vintage feel that I liked. Overall, this was a total winner.

Wore this dress to a December party on a boat in Southern California. The weight of the fabric was perfect and fish nets were a perfect addition. My only compliant about the dress is the pockets would occasionally buckle, depending on how I was standing/sitting. But, yay for pockets!

I rented a size 6 and 8 for an October wedding that my husband was in. The material kept me warm the whole night without making me feel weighed down. I received many compliments on the material and color, especially the sequins polka dots. The only con of the dress was that it was hard to move my arms around alot. I could move better in the size 8, but it looked way too big and bulky. Even with the movement restriction I was still able to have fun dancing and did not feel uncomfortable.

Received many compliments on the dress. It was plenty warm and a great choice for a NYE cocktail. I SO wanted to be able to give this more stars. The only reason I couldn't is due to the fact that the fit prevents you from being able to lift your arms at all. I tried on the backup (size 2) to see if that would resolve the issue. It did not: the size up was too big and I still was unable to raise my arms. I saw this warning on other reviews but stuck with the dress choice. Everyday things like driving, hanging your purse on a hook in a bathroom stall and tucking in the hanger loops of the dress were difficult, if not impossible. Never mind dancing! It didn't ruin my night one bit, but it was a bit of a disappointment for such a beautiful dress.

I love polka dots and dresses with pockets so in that respect, the dress was great. However, I thought this dress was extremely uncomfortable and very restricting. The thickness and type of fabric does not allow for much movement. I was not able to lift my arms completely and felt that if I had moved a certain way, the whole dress could have ripped. I did get quite a few compliments. The polka dots are actually made of sequins. In the pictures online, I had thought they looked like just a shiny fabric. The thick tweedy fabric and long sleeves did keep me warm however, I would not rent this particular dress again.

I had a few options because the dress I had rented was not available. The customer service in response to the problem was excellent so I ended up with lots of choices and this dress ran big in the size 6 so I wore another dress. I would rent for another even in size 4 for sure.

love this dress BUT the 4 was slight snug along the arms...I usually wear a 6 and they only had the 4 available. I will definitely order the 6 for another event!

This dress is really classy. It shows just the right amount of skin in the back to still be sexy. This dress ran longer than other shifts that I have rented so I had to shorten it by 3 inches since I'm pretty short.

Structured cocktail dress with fitted bodice and sleeves, and slight a-line cut in the skirt. Deep V in the back is super flattering. Fabric is a heavy textured tweed that is perfect for fall/winter. I'm petite, but an athletic build and the dress for perfectly.

Rent The Runway sent this as an added dress. I didn't wear it but tried it on and it was super cute.
