Loved this dress! I got so many compliments on it too! I felt sexy without revealing too much. I would say to beware of slit in the front when you sit down, I had to wear a scarf over my lap

I loved this dress! It was a little snug so would recommend a size up, but was really elegant. I also loved the slit up the middle. I wore this for a work event and received tons of compliments!

This dress was a perfect fit! I am busty 32DD and it wasn't a problem! The sleeves are the main attraction. It's very fitted but I had no issues walking due to the front middle slit. I would rent again in a heartbeat.

The size 2 fit like a glove. The belle sleeves were elegant and perfect for long arms. Lastly, the slit makes the dress but do have a clutch or napkin to cover it strategically when seated.

The high neck and made this wirk aporopriate, with the center slit making it just sexy enough. Curvy girls, watch your sizing! I had to wear the 10 to accomodate my bust and hips and it was still a little tight. This dress was so cute but definitely meant for a straighter figure. Only complaint was that the lining was VERY torn when I received it and then contibued to tear throughout the night. Received a ton of compliments.

The cut is super chic and I love the bell sleeves and front/center slit. It was perfect for daytime/ work function.

This dress was hot in the most modest way. It complimented my figure very nicely and the material felt expensive yet not too hot. The sleeves were my favorite part of the dress but the slit came in a close second. I am 5'8" and the slit was not too high at all! I think this would be perfect for a work party or any winter occasion where you didn't want to wear a floor length dress but still wanted to be a little sexy. I will definitely be renting this dress again!

I received so many compliments. The slit is a little high, so had to be careful when sitting. Lived the pockets, was able to put my cell phone in them easily. Wore with electro blue strapped sandals which are not pictured. Would wear again.

Bring on the bell sleeves! This style was so different and the sleeves are so fun, the slit made it easy to move in and a fashionable yet modest style. This style fit true to size I would reccomend going a size up for your backup size especially if you have a full figure or bigger hips since the fabric has no stretch. There is little to no extra room in the bust, I would suggest this style to women with cup sizes A-C. The bottom of the dress hit my knee, I am 5”7, but it would certainly be longer on someone shorter and could be considered tea length. The style can be worn with a regular bra and I would recommend wearing spanx or some type of shape wear with this style to ensure clean lines. This dress would be great for women with the following body types - Hourglass, Athletic, Straight & Narrow. I would wear this dress with simple accessories, the neckline is very high so I would suggest a simple earring or to free is up a fun bauble cocktail style earring. I would wear this to work or work related event and I would pair it with dark heels. I would pair this with a simple clutch, either continuing with the dark color tone or a pop of color (bright red, cobalt blue, neon yellow, neon green or pink).

I got soooo many compliments when I was walking around in this dress. Although my friend joked and said I looked like the Wicked Witch of the West, and maybe he was right, but in a good way. You definitely have to be confident to rock this dress, because it's got a very different style to it. The sleeves are unique and the dress is long but has a sexy split in the middle.

I loved the fit of the dress. The only thing that I did not like was when I went to sit down the dress would ride up my legs, making it uncomfortable. I would get a bigger size next time. If you have a cup size bigger than a "B" and a booty, go up one size than your normal. I received a lot of compliments in this dress and it looks great on! #beautiful

The dress is true to size and I found that I should have ordered one size down. I loved the material, the weight of it and the feel. It just screams high-quality. The RTR photos listed here do *not* showcase the very long, central slit and that is something you should know about before renting. When I was seated with my legs crossed, the slit was so high I was glad I hadn't worn it to a work function. I could see half of the length of my thigh and had to choose a slip that was short for this reason. (If you were wearing stockings, you would absolutely see the control top or the elastic garter.) The dress is elegant, fashion-forward and just beautiful. I think it is perfect for lovely long earrings. I adored the sleeves and they were not at all in my way. I felt so put together and confident. I had the best dress at the event.

This was a very classy dress with a touch of flare. I rented it for a formal rehearsal dinner in late December. The shoulder, neck and hip area were quite tight; sitting was very uncomfortable as the material is very unforgiving. I rode to and from the even with the back unzipped. Furthermore, there were pockets in the front which was nice but made the dress pouch out just below the waist. Overall the dress did not fit my athletic figure. I did not order a back up size, so I had to make it work.

As you can see in the photo, the slit was way too high to be worn in public. The rest of the dress was just as expected, but because of the slit, I was unable to wear it :(

Fit was perfect. I was comfortable with the split skirt, although I did not sit down much. Don’t recommend black stockings, go with the nude - makes a more interesting line.

I am 5'5" 114 Ibs 34d, I wore a size 0. It fit like a glove! I wore to a baptism party. I highly recommend.

Pros: It's black and can be worn for tons of different events, it's longer, it's a nice thick material, it's warm! Cons: The slit in the front is a little revealing for tall people and if you're not careful, the sleeves hang in your food! All in all, this dress was gorgeous and fit amazing. I got tons of compliments!

I loved this chic yet conservative style for a holiday party. Although the size 2 fit, it was a little tight on my hips, so I sized up to the 4, which was a little large up top. For ladies who are pear shaped, I'd consider sizing up. Overall, loved the fit and will rent this style again.

This dress was incredible, form fitting, & chic. I got a ton of compliments in this dress. The sleeves and the slit give an extra added umph which was def noticed! The slit could be problematic to some. Walking was a breeze but sitting down became a little sticky. The slit came all the way up your thigh! Luckily I was able to cover it and make it work...but I guarantee you wouldn't want to be sitting down in this dress for too long anyway! EVERYONE needs to see you in this little number! Will definitely rent this dress again!

This was such a fun dress to wear! The sleeves, length and high neck are sophisticated, and the HIGH slit is fun. At 5'8" it hit me approx. 3 in below knee and slit went about 8 in above knee, even more so when seated. The only con of the dress was the tight fitting hips. The 4 fit perfectly in chest, shoulders, but the hips were very tight, as a previous reviewer said, great for standing but this is not a sit all day dress! Overall, fit like a glove, felt good in the dress, but at times a bit self conscious of the slit.

Stunning silhouette. Very flattering. I am normally a 0 but read Jill Stuart runs small so I ordered a 2. I didn't find that to be true, but the 2 still worked just fine.

Everyone said this dress ran big, but I found it to be true to size. It was even a little tight on the rib cage. But that could have been because it was right after Thanksgiving - haha! It is thick with nice material, very comfortable and was perfect for the event I attended. Conservative, but with a sexy slit!

too big. pleat in front did not hang right. black lining showed through. a little too worn. don't think the smaller size would be any better..

Beautiful understated dress but honestly I think they sent me the wrong size... the dress had no size tag and it was so tiny I am sure that would have been mentioned in other reviews. It felt 3 sizes small. I wish I had a chance to wear it.
