I got so many compliments on this dress. At first I was unsure about it because of how unique it was, but I received countless compliments. It was for the most part comfortable, but hard to dance in because of the cape portion. Other then that, totally recommend this dress!

I am in between sizes. I ordered a 6 and a 4 and ended up wearing the 4. The 6 was a little wide under the armpit. I am 5'6 and I felt like it was a good length and not as short on me as the original picture.

This dress was the prefect fit for my short, curvy frame. With my build, It's not easy to find a flattering dress that's the right length and needs no alterations. This dress fit like a glove!! It looked classy and sexy. I was very comfortable sitting and standing in this dress. We had to drive 30 min to the gala, and it didn't crease or look wrinkled. The only thing I didn't like was the hanger straps on the no sleeve side---they kept wanting to show, they're not in the best place. I finally taped them down with wardrobe tape. I found this dress to fit TTS, and would highly recommend it!!

I loved this dress! I was originally going to wear the 6 (my size) but I had a little more room in the 8 and I knew there would be a TON of food at this wedding - so I went with the bigger size. I'm only 5'1" and the length was perfect. One of the reasons I rented was because it was on the shorter side. I paired with a pair of gold metallic heels (Feb wedding) and it looked beautiful!

I didn't end up wearing this dress to my event, but it was such a close call between it and the other dress I chose to wear. It fit well and was so different. I loved this style. The body of the dress wasn't the most flattering, but I feel the shortness of the dress and one shoulder exposed made up for it. Would love to rent (again) or own this dress!

I was a little nervous about whether I could pull this off, but I got a TON of compliments and it was fun to dance with! I liked that it was sexy in a subtle way (perfect for a work awards dinner) and I felt super confident in it. I ordered a 6 and an 8 and I don't think the 6 was really a 6 - the size and designer labels were missing and I could barely get it over my legs. So I went with the 8 which was a little loose in the waist and bust (a padded strapless bra fixed that part). Take a chance on this dress - you can pull it off too!

Probably my favorite dress from this site so far. For well, with a bit of give. The cape is stunning and made a great conversation piece. The length was perfect (but I'm on the shorter side) for a black tie optional event but the cape and the dramatic shoulder made it a little fun, too. Fabulous structure and great fit!

Wore this for a superhero themed fundraiser so the cape was the perfect accent. The cape also hid my problem areas. It's a little shorter than you'd expect, even on my 5'3" frame.

This dress was a backup for another selection, (that wouldn't zip) it was very pretty, perfect for my Husband's company Holiday Party. The reviews said it runs small, I agree, it fit well in the chest, but was tight in the hips. I could have sized up, but it would have been too big. Thankfully, because it was black and had the cape, it wasnt at all noticaeble. Its a great LBD that is unique and fun!! Overall, highly recommend!!

I've had my eye on this cape dress and it did not disappoint! Great twist on the LBD and the cape was a unique feature. It also make it possible to wear on a cold day.

This dress is gorgeous! Wore it to a fundraiser that was cocktail attire and it was perfect. I ordered the 4 but actually wore the backup size 6. I would say it runs a bit small. The zipper can be a bit difficult so assistance may be needed. I didn't wear a bra as the material is thick but I did wear nipple concealers, just in case. I didn't wear Spanx although I wish that I had so my tummy would have been flatter. This very dramatic dress was beautiful and I highly recommend it.

Love love love this dress. The cape and coupled with the one bare arm is such a showstopper! I had compliments from strangers in the street. It is made of quality material that isn't too heavy. Definitely recommend and would rent again.

At an event where a black cocktail dress was pretty standard, I felt sophisticated and interesting in this dress because of the cape sleeve, without being over the top. I was worried about mobility with the cape sleeve, but the dress was comfortable and I even danced in it.

I'm loving this cape trend! It's so glam and easy to work with! You do have to wear a strapless bra due to the one-shoulder, but the rest of the dress is loose enough that it's very flattering and comfortable without needing any special undergarments or shapewear. I rented this for a fancy nighttime wedding and it was a huge hit! It does run true to size and fell right above my knee at 5'5".

This dress is a perfect mix of classy and fun/flirty. I love the length - was so nice to not worry about it being too short. I felt it was flattering and I got tons of compliments. Material is great for any time of year. I don't have an hourglass figure, so I'm sure that plays into how it fit, but it was a bit tight in the chest, otherwise I would have worn a 10. I'd recommend this one in a heartbeat!

I had a semi-formal event to attend, but did not want to wear your standard business formal attire. This was perfect. The cape did not weigh me down or annoy me. It added the extra flair needed to make this more than an average LBD. I ordered a size up based on other reviews. I probably could have worn my normal size, but glad I went up because it was a bit short when I sat down. Would recommend to any body type.

Really beautiful, fun, and elegant dress. Wore this dress to a rehearsal dinner held at a museum and it was perfect. I am rather large chested, so it was just a tiny bit tight across the chest. Otherwise, I feel like the fit was perfect. Also a really great length, not too short. Would rent again for a formal event in a heartbeat.

This is a great twist on a little black dress. I wore this to a school gala event and felt elegant and comfy at the same time. I am between a 4 and a 6 and decided to go with the 6. It had a better fit through the chest but was a little loose at the waist. I would rent this again!

For reference, I'm 5'1, 145 lbs, and typically a size 8-10. In higher end clothing I vary between an 8 and a 12 depending on the brand. So I think this dress ran true to size. The 10 fit great but it came damaged. The cape was torn where it met the shoulder of the dress. Rather than pay $25 to overnight another 10 I decided to go with the 12. It was fine. Notes: This dress is short. I'm pretty short and when I sat down I was very glad I wore tights with this dress and didn't go bare-legged as originally planned (thanks Florida for throwing us cold weather during Spring Break). It definitely crept up higher than mid thigh when I was sitting so if you prefer a more modest length skirt definitely pair this with tights or stockings. Speaking of, make sure if you DO wear some (because the skirt creeps up when you sit) try sitting down in your tights/hose before you go anywhere. If they have any reinforcement in the thigh area it may show when you sit. Because the weather turned out to be chillier than planned my choice of undergarments were my Spanx opaque tights. They're warm. Unfortunately they're also reinforced in the upper thigh. I had to yank them up higher to make sure that part didn't show. Be careful if you are a slip wearer. I am, and I couldn't wear one with this dress because it showed (even my short one). The lining tended to peek out when I sat down and I had to keep an eye on that. The straps to keep it on the hanger weren't too bad. I had my husband stick the back one down the back of my bra and it didn't come out all night. The front one got the same treatment and it kept trying to peek out but I kept it hidden. Tape would've helped. This dress has no give. If you're hippy definitely sit down for a bit before you choose which size you're going to wear. The 10 would've worked but I think I was more comfortable in the 12. We were at the bar before the ceremony and I was very glad of the little extra room in the hips while swinging up and down from a barstool. And getting in and out of the truck. This dress is definitely a show stopper. I received many compliments on it. My husband called it classy but sexy. But he wouldn't let me wear boots with it - he said it reminded him too much of Batgirl.

I originally ordered a different (less expensive) dress and selected this dress as my backup. I was pleasantly surprised when I received this dress. The size 8 fit my body, except the hip-area on the dress was a bit narrow, so I went with the 10 so I had room to dance. This dress was incredible, comfortable, and flattering. It hid the parts I wanted hidden (belly) and was so fun and trendy and fabulous. I LOVED this dress.

This has been my favorite RTR dress, and i didn't want to return it. The cape detail was so fun without being overwhelming or in the way. I received so many compliments. Just watch when you sit that the lining doesn't poke out beyond the dress.

I normally wear a 4 very consistently but the hips were too tight in this dress so I wore the 6. Love this dress! The dress was the perfect length for me - I'm 5'1". The most frustrating thing was definitely the hanger straps. They would not stay in - I had to tuck them into my strapless so they would stay. My first RTR experience and it was so easy - I will definitely rent again!
