This was a great A-line dress for my short torso. It was a bit loose on top, and would have been fine, but I didn't want the straps to move at all so I wore a VERY padded bra that bumped me up to about a D. With the bra I picked, I was able to reposition the straps in the back so it would run right under the dress. But for most people you might want to go with a strapless bra. It was a bit tight in the chest as I have a wide ribcage, but I didn't notice it all night. The part of the dress that looks white is actually silver threading, so keep that in mind. Basically the whole dress is embroidered, so be careful of keys and metal clasps that might catch on it. I liked the way it looked on other people who wore belts with it, so I added a black sash I had lying around, and it tied in a thin bow the back. I LOVED HAVING POCKETS! Man, I wish more dresses had pockets. I was able to keep my phone with me on the dance floor so I could take pics! And I didn't have to worry about my money either. It's not a heavy dress, but it's fairly thick, so it's probably better for evening vs. daytime events. Overall it was a nice combination of classy, cute, and fun, which is what I was going for.

This dress was a true zero - it was snug in the waist and bust, which really helps accentuate the flared skirt. I did an 8 Day rental so I could wear this to both a wedding and work gala that had a 'garden party theme'. The dress was comfortable and super cute. Would highly recommend this look.

I fit into both the 10 & 12 but the 10 fit pretty well so I wanted to get the confidence boost of wearing the smaller size. The 12 would be good for someone my size but maybe with a larger bust (I'm 38C). The bodice was very fitted but not uncomfortable, the skirt was totally comfortable and a perfect length for me, right at the knee (I'm 5'0). My only tiny comment, not complaint, is that the straps wear a bit too loose. It was raining out for part of the event I wore a light sweater most of the time so the straps were not an issue but w/o the sweater I probably would have been tugging at them a few times throughout the night. Overall I love this dress and would hope to buy it one day:)

I want this dress in my closet forever!! I wore this dress to my friends’ November wedding in Sacramento, CA. It was also one of two dresses that RTR sent to me as replacements. The original dresses I had rented did not fit and there were no more sizes available. I’m really glad the other two didn’t work out because this dress was much better! It’s a size 12 and was a tad too long for my torso, but I made it work with some double-sided tape, pins, and a belt to cinch the waist. I’m sure a size 10 would have fit perfectly. The fabric was thick but not heavy, it made the dress look luxurious. Oh and not to forget to mention, POCKETS! Ladies, you all know how much you love dresses with pockets and the best part is that they’re not noticeable. Oh and it was by pure coincidence that they place I was staying at had bedding that matched the dress!

The dress fit perfectly! So comfortable and the deep pockets were a plus. It gave my straight frame a more shapely appearance. There were a few snags in the dress that were only noticeable close-up. I wore it as an alternative to a long dress for a "Tuxes and Tails" event. It would probably be too warm for me if there was dancing involved. Received compliments all night!

Love the slightly-off-the-shoulder straps, and of course the pockets. The full skirt on this dress really makes it stand out. There's no crinoline ... the fabric is just thick enough to give it natural volume. Maybe not the best dress on a hot summer day due to the heavy fabric, but perfect for a gorgeous spring day. Highly recommend!

I fit into the 10, but since I'm busty I went for the 12 instead. I loved the material. Of course the pockets are amazing. I would wear this again in a heartbeat.

So the straps on this were a little loose for me, I had to adjust a few times, but the skirt was full and it has POCKETS! I think this is super flattering for any pear shape. I got tons of compliments and I felt beautiful!

So comfortable and received lots of compliments. The pockets were great, too! I usually wear a 4, and ordered a 6 for the backup. In the end I wore the 4, and probably could have gone down to a 2. Loved this first rental!

Fit was snug but not too tight through bodice. Length was modest but flirty. Nice, heavy material with very deep pockets. Wish I owned this one!

Amazing fit!! Loved, loved the pockets. Wore this for a gala and got tons of compliments. Felt like a million bucks and really don't want to send the dress back. Very fitted in the chest area so for ladies with a larger chest, probably want to size up. I am typically a 4 in dresses. Ordered the 4 and 6. 6 was way too big and the 4 fit as if it were tailor made.

Bodice is tight; no bra needed. Yay! Material is a little heavy, so you will get warm if you take the dress out dancing. Just keep the awesome pockets full of tissues to keep perspiration down.

I really liked the cut, flows out at the waist, loved the pockets. FYI that it's a bit tight on top so keep that in might if you are busty.

The fabric is a nice silver and black jacquard with a floral motif, and the silhouette is very flattering. The straps are very thin but just thick enough that I was able to wear a bra without a problem. I wore this dress to a holiday party and it was perfect for the occasion. Got lots of compliments!

I ordered the 8 and the 10 and the 8 was waaaay to tight and no breathing room, so the 10 was the right fit but more baggy on the bottom half, but still so perfect. The pockets were the best thing ever. Would recommend this dress and can't wait to wear it again

Absolutely gorgeous knee length dress. Fit like a glove, looked refined but still fun. I got so many compliments, I felt really chic and was comfortable enough to dance all night, even when the fabric is not stretchy at all. This dress is very form fitting, super flattering for rounder girls. Would not recommend for busty girls (I wear an A cup and I could barely fit my lightly padded bra). I wish I owned this one!

I was worried when the ten wasn't fitting. I didn't wear a bra and it was perfect. The material is so thick I didn't really need one anyways.

The dress is GORGEOUS and I was the first to wear it. (yeah!) The fabric is a brocade and so unique, however it does not "give" and stretch so I would size UP on this one, not down. I'm a pretty standard petite size 4 but wore the 6 and it was perfect. It was beyond flattering, had POCKETS (which I love), I ate, I danced all night and looked and felt like a million bucks. I paired it with a bright pair of Badgley Mischka sparkly super high heels and basic diamond studs for earrings. This dress doesn't need too much accessorizing. I'm 5'1" and weigh 122 lbs and the 6 was perfect on me because I'm a little busty. I wouldn't hesitate to wear this and would buy it if I wasn't already photographed in it all night long.

The dress is made of a beautiful fabric with a figure flattering cut for a new mama (i have a 4 week old newborn!) I'm 2-3 dress sizes larger than my normal size and went with RTR since i knew this would be a one-time wear of a dress but I wanted it to be special. It was a bit of a squeeze to get in but still breathable. I think this is a dress that is true to size but since i wasn't sure what size I was (8 or 10?) I went with the larger 10. The only issue i have was the bottom of the dress looking like the hem was undone on the front. Luckily i had some fabric tape to solve the issue. Otherwise with an undone hem,I think the dress would have looked fine but a bit too long for my short self. I still would have worn it. All in all - a good pick that hid the problem areas (mainly mid-section/tummy) and accentuated the "good" areas (chest/legs).

I wore this dress to an awards banquet. The dress looks shorter in the picture online but it fell over my knees in person. This was appropriate for the event I attend but just a good to know in case you are expecting this dress to be short. For my hour glass figure, I loved the way this dress covered up my love handles!

I really liked this dress, despite the small tear in the bodice I didn't notice until I was on my way to my event. The pockets were super helpful and the large structured skirt is very flattering. I'm short so the straps were a bit long, and I'm quite busty, so the chest was a bit tight. The material is a little bit thick so I'm glad it was windy and still mostly spring. This would not be a good dress for summer at all. The dress was very comfortable and classy. It was just what I was looking for for a special work event.

Very pretty dress with nice, substantial fabric. It was a bit snug across the rib cage but not uncomfortable. Pockets were nice. The only complaint I could mention is that the dress seemed quite worn (i.e. the fabric was almost fuzzy just from being used so much). That being said it was still a nice dress and I'd rent from RTR again for sure.

It fit well, I was unsure if I liked the dress at first because it was so different but it is what makes the dress so cool. It was a little bit too big on me but not noticeably. It's got pockets and that's always a plus

Overall the dress was classy and elegant. I wore it in the Winter and it kept me warm. Dress has pockets, bonus! It is made of heavy fabric, but it adds to its uniqueness. The skirt is wide on bottom and the bodice is tight. It brings back a classic look.

Wore this cute dress for a 60s themed party. I received tons of compliments! It's not my usual style, and it felt a little short waisted which is why I gave it 4/5 stars. However- it fit perfectly. I'm a true size 4 and it was not at all too large or right. Lovely and fun for the occasion. More than one person told me I should have the dress in my closet! I

This dress was gorgeous and I received compliments ALL night! However, my chest was a little squished in there and the back of the dress dug into my skin. If only this came in a 14-it would've been a perfect 5 star dress!

This dress runs tight in the chest but I still chose to wear the 4 over the 6. Fun, full skirt that was great for a wedding. The fabric is much nicer than it looks in the pictures with beautiful silver and black thread and is nice heavy fabric. Would rent again.

Very nice dress! It was a snug fit up top, but true to size. It had a gorgeous scoop neckline and beautiful fabric. The large pockets were great! They were well hidden by the heavy fabric. I could fit everything in them and forgo a purse. I got many compliments on the dress. I would definitely wear it again.

I wore this dress to my school's semi formal dance. The size two fit, but I wanted to be able to dance, so I chose to wear the 4. The only problem with that is the back sagged and the straps were a little loose. Even with that problem, I loved the dress! It was beautiful and sophisticated.

I wore this to a holiday party thrown by my friends. The 0 fit perfectly, and really accentuated my waist and made it look tiny. I was able to wear a normal bra with it, but I did have to pin the straps so they stayed hidden. This dress also has pockets, which is always a bonus. The dress was a little shopworn up close - some of the brocaded bits were getting sort of fuzzy - but no one seemed to notice that except me, and the material it's made from is a nice textured brocade, heavy enough to have structure but not so heavy that the dress feels weighted. It was a lovely dress for a party.

Don't make the same mistake I did -- I forgot my lipstick in the pocket when mailing it back! Dress is awesome otherwise. Flowers are felt-y and are a great touch. Material is pretty thick, think "tweed," but not at all itchy. A bit snug in the armpits, but I do have a larger bust than most girls my frame.

This dress was perfect for my cousins outdoor wedding. The only negative was that this dress had a few pulls on it when I received it. Other than that, it fit great! I didn't want to send it back!

Absolutely loved this dress! Very flattering and it even has pockets. Pretty tight on the bust and I don't have a huge bust area. If you do, you might want to order a size up.

I got this for Thanksgiving and it was perfect. Beautiful fabric, zipper up the back and you are done. I'm busty (34DDD). and it was a bit snug in the chest (wore without a bra), but anyone smaller will have no problems at all. Makes your waist look tiny, and the skirt is the perfect amount of poof plus there are hidden pockets. I wore it with the Kenneth Jay Lane flower collar necklace, a statement ring by Kate Spade, and pearl drop earrings by Ella Carter and they helped the dress pop (especially the necklace), and black heels. There is some slight wear showing on the dress (a few strings off the hem), but nothing that anyone would have noticed, or that I felt I needed to take a star off for. Received a ton of compliments, would definitely rent again!
