incredibly lovely gown. The blush was a gorgeous color and the cape provided a little warmth. Lots of compliments from strangers. The 2 would've been a better fit but wasn't available for my order. Great dress! Great fabric!

I said I wanted to channel my inner Solange and this dress got me there. All the bridesmaids wore a palate of neutrals and golds so the pale pink was perfect. I received the dress in perfect condition (didn't have to steam like some other reviewers mentioned). I'm 5'7 1/2" and the 4L was long enough to skim the ground in 3 inch heels. Size wise, I could've made the 2L work but the 4 was better for length and dancing all night. Just wore a seamless bandeau to keep the nipple situation in check. The cape is longer than the dress so I carried it like a train when I had to walk outside. I got a TON of compliments - the cape and cut make the whole look statuesque. I won the esteemed and very made up Best Dressed award - I don't know if pictures do this dress justice! Overall, could not recommend this ond more. I always use RTR for wedding and events since I travel/move a lot but I wish I could've kept this gown forever! NOTE: remember to tuck and tape the hanger strings! I forgot ugh

I felt so great in this dress. It's well made and heavy, but having the arms and chest open meant I never got too hot. The train from was a little long and I had a few people step on it, but this was literally the ONLY downside to this dress. I got tons of compliments and felt super fabulous and classy. The 4R was actually a little more loose over my torso but too tight to zip up over my chest. I wore this with a gold choker, large gold bangle, and nude heels (and spanx).

I rented this dress for an awards gala...I was one of the honorees and needed to stand out. This dress definitely delivered! The color is a true blush/powder pink and I'd say it runs pretty true to size, though if you can get a backup, I recommend going up a size to compare. I didn't order a backup and I was fine. If you're tall (I'm 5'8") you should absolutely go with the longer length. I couldn't wear my strapless bra , but the dress will hold you in, so it's not totally necessary. I maybe would've worn a gold cuff instead of sparkly chandelier earrings, but I think it worked out with the earrings and brooch, which was my own. All in all, I'd say wear this if you want a night to remember and tons of compliments!

Loved this gown. Beautiful blush color that I imagine would look good on all skin tones. I think it's fairly true to size. I'm normally a 6 but a little heavier these days so the 8R fit perfectly. Was a little snug at first but it actually loosened up a bit. Right now I'm 5'4" and 155 - very muscular and athletic build with a muscular back. If you have a wider back perhaps think of upsizing. I would also agree with others that if you have a large bust go a size up as well. I am a B cup so I think that's probably how I got away with a size 8. Otherwise the length was perfect. Similar to a wedding dress I got pretty hot though, so would not recommend for warmer climates outdoors. It has gorgeous silk lining and heavy fabric so gets a little swampy! But otherwise I loved this gown and would totally rent again!

Fit like a glove

I rented this dress for an American Cancer Society ball. It was the perfect dress. Not only was it comfortable and easy to dance in but it looked great! Some of the other reviews said it was tight across the bust, I wore it without a bra and didn't have any problems, I'm a 34D. My only issues was that the dress was very wrinkled when it came in so it needed to be steamed. I contacted RTR about the issue and they were very understanding and accommodating, very good customer service.

This is a one of a kind dress that definitely turned heads. The color is very in style right now- went great with my late summer tan. I read the reviews that it runs small and I disagree, I wore my normal size/ I also read that it was long-- this is relatively true and so I wore 4" heels and it was perfect. Comfortable. I did have trouble with the condition the dress arrived in but that was resolved. I did not wear a bra and had no problems. I was going for a #greek #goddess look and it fit perfectly what I was going for. Appropriate for the #militaryball I was attending-- modest while still having character. I'd buy this dress any day! Loved it and loved my look- thanks RTR!

I wore this dress to my wedding reception and felt like royalty. The cut is very small through the hips with no stretch so be prepared to size up if you've an hourglass shape. Was able to wear a strapless bra. You will need some fashion tape to hold the hanger straps out of view. The material was quite heavy so I wouldn't recommend this in summer or a warm climate but it worked perfectly for me on a chilly November night in Charleston.

Fit a little small

I am 6'2 and 165, athletic build. I wore a 1 1/2 inch heel and the 6L was just the right length. The dress was slightly snug around my ribcage because I'm a bit broader through there - but it wasn't uncomfortable. It's very elegant and I received many compliments.

This dress was so comfortable, even in 90 degree heat. It fit well, I'm 5'8 and 135, wore 3-4 inch heels and the 4L fit very well. I did have to wear an extra padded bra to give me some more shape, so smaller chested girls keep that in mine. Loved the dress!

I rented this dress to attend a friend's Indian wedding. I saw on a previous post that someone else had used the dress for a similar event. I wasn't sure what to expect because the dress is very simple but the lines are very elegant. I new it was a hit when I walked in while the bride and all the girls were taking pictures truly thinking I'd sneak to the side and watch. As soon as I walked in the bride exclaimed "Ladies another goddess has arrived" and then the ooos and aahhs came. I was truly flattered and for to be the only person wearing western wear I felt like I still fit right in to this very formal event. The only size that was available was the 6L when I rented but thank goodness it fit. It was a little snug around my chest and hips but I managed to make it work. I wish I had the 8L just so I could have moved a little easier on the dance floor, but then again...how could this outfit have been more perfect!

I wore this to a formal wedding around Christmas time. I received so many compliments on this dress. It is a very pale blush color, so it does like a little off white in pictures but in person not as much. I felt and looked like a Greek goddess. This dress definitely shows off your arm muscles. It is a little tight in the hip area, so if you actually have hips or want to sit/dance and not worry about the dress ripping then go a size up. The length is not too long with heels (I'm only 5'1") and it was not dragging the floor, however the train/sleeve dragged a little on the ground but nothing to really worry about. No accidentally tripping over it or anything. I recommend this for anyone that wants to stand out or just feel like a goddess or princess.

The fit was a little large. I am usually a four but had to use the two so it wouldn't look bunchy. But the fabric has a fabulous weight that just adds a natural grace to the entire look.

You will not be disappointed if you choose this drsss. It is simple but very elegant and classy. I originally ordered this dress but a size larger but they didn't have it so they overnights me another size and it fit perfectly! This dress is amazing. My normal dress size is an 8 but I wore a 6 in this dress

This dress was a dream. I wore it for an event at the Biltmore and felt so happy with it. I am 5'7" and with heels it was a little to short on me also form fitting at the hips (but I do have larger hips and backside) overall so happy with it and as always the great service of Rent the Runway!

The fit was a little tight around the bust but after a 1hour or 2 in the dress, it loosen up. I rented a 10L and the cape was almost longer than the gown it self. Make sure to wear 4-5 inch heels. The Cape makes the dress!!

It was such a beautiful dress and I got a lot of compliments throughout the night! The color, quality and fit were all great. The only thing was that I wore 0R and it was still very long (I'm 5'4" and wore 3 inch heels). I could've worn a taller heels but didn't want my feet to suffer. Other than that, I'd love to wear this amazing dress again!!

I'm 5'9'' and the length (OL) was perfect with three inch heels. Wore this for a 1920's formal affair. Not sure how 20's it is but did add the head piece! It was so elegant and very glamorous.

Im 5'3 so the dress was 2 in too long with a 3.5 in heel on. If your short like me opt for higher heels!

Got so many compliments :) I felt and looked classy and elegant, I highly recommend it. I knew I needed it as soon as I first saw it, don't hesitate get it. You will LOVE IT!!!!! The only negative review is that it came wrinkled , so purchase a steamer and you will be good!

I wore this to a Hindu wedding, since my dressy sari is in storage in another state, and I really didn't want to buy a second dressy sari. With the one-shouldered cape and floor-skimming length, this dress seems like it nods in the sari's direction, and I loved it! I'm 5'6.75", I usually wear a 2 or a 4 in commercial sizes, I wear a 6 in most designer sizes. I gambled and went with a 4 here. It looked pretty good with Spanx, which I forgot to pack, so on the day of the event it was lumpier-looking than I really wanted. It's a gorgeous gown, though, and I'd definitely rent it again, or maybe I'll try the bolder-colored one...

I got compliments all night with his dress. Would def rent this again. Although I had to buy fabric tape to keep it in place, it was worth it.

The bride took a moment out of her special day to praise me for being best dressed at her event! This dress was stunning. The caped sleeve provides an extra aura of glamour. The dressed is lined for smooth look all the way down. I am 5'8" and wore the long length with a pair of 3" heels. It was just long enough to not craze the floor but show a little peep of my gorgeously paired sandals. The seam connecting the cape at the should did seem to pull away a bit, but otherwise this dress is classy, unique well made and just stunning!

Wore this dress to a black tie wedding. I went up a couple sizes b/c was 31 weeks pregnant at the time (and the midsection has no give). Received lots of compliments - highly recommend!

I'm a 0 in most dresses, this fit perfectly for the most part but was tight in the hips. If you're hippy, it may be difficult to wear.

The dress was a little loose, but I think that if I had gone a size lower it would have been a perfect fit. The dress was comfortable to move in and hugged in all the right places. The bottom of the dress was a little long for me, but it was nothing a good pair of heels couldn't fix. Overall, a great dress and I would definitely rent again.
