I was in a mild panic because out of my two dresses I originally ordered (both 0 petites), one was too short and one was too long! So RTR overnighted this dress to me and I couldn't have been happier! The color is more vibrant in person than in pictures. It was very comfortable and very easy to walk in. Im 5'2" and I wore a 0 petite with 3 inch heels and it was the perfect length. There was some stray boning that had poked through on the bodice but I was able to fix it. As far as the overall fit- I'm 105 pounds and it fit like a glove. As other reviewers have mentioned though, the fabric doesn't have any stretch and it does show lines very easily. I would size up for my back up size. Very pretty dress and I would definitely consider renting again!

I wore this dress to a formal Firefighter Ball. This dress is absolutely beautiful! I received so many complements! I am more curvy and usually wear a 6 or an 8. I received the dress and they did not fix! I felt the dress ran small. I have hips and no boobs. I called rent the runway and they overnighted a 10 and a 12. I ended up wearing the 10. It was a little big in the Boobs but perfect in the hips! I can not thank rent the runway enough! I would recommend this dress to anyone! I

Loved this dress. The color, fit, everything was perfect to help me shine for my sorority formal. Runs a little small, definitely recommend sizing up. Normally am a 4/6 but went with an 8R for this dress, and it felt perfect. Definitely highlights your curves if you aren't afraid to show them off, but gives you enough wiggle room to break it down on the dance floor haha. Wear a spanx or form fitting underwear to really make this dress look amazing! No bra needed unless you'd like to wear one!!

This dress fit great! I wasn't super excited to wear strapless but this didn't slip at all. The fabric is nice and thick (not stretchy) but I do recommend shapewear to smoothe things out. Also, it isn't super long. I am 5'7" and wore a 2R and it was borderline short in my 3 in heels.

Beautiful fabric. You could really dress this up or down. Having a backup size is a good idea, this dress has no stretch and should be very fitted- I couldn't wear it, as I really need a 0 I think.

Beautifully ruffled Jill Jill Stuart gown! The teal coloring of the dress is so beautiful and radiant, allowing the elegant style of this dress to work perfectly for any black tie event or wedding. Running small, we recommend sizing up for both your primary and backup size, especially for curvier women. My primary size is a 2 and I could barely move in it. However, if you like a very form fitted dress at the waist, hip and bust, then stick with your primary size and just size up for backup. The fabric overall has no stretch, working best for smaller cup sizes and no bra being necessary to be worn. Style with either black or nude accessories and sleek jewelry.

I loved the cut of this dress! The color and cut of this dress was so flattering. The dress runs true to size. I am four and the dress I am wearing is a four. I do recommend going a size up for the backup size. The dress was very fitted. He hips, waist and midsection of the dress was extremely fitted. The fabric had no stretch. The dress would work best for an A-C cup. I am D cup and the dress was tight on my chest. Even though the dress was true to size I did feel as though I could have been a little more comfortable in the size up because the dress is very fitted. The dress can be worn with a strapless bra or NuBra. I am 5’9” and the dress was floor length but I do recommend getting a long size if you are taller than 5’9” and want to wear heels. This would be perfect for a gala or a black tie wedding. Pair with black heels and big jewelry.

This dress was so beautifully made and unique. I got so many compliments and really felt like a mermaid :) The only downside was that this fabric really had zero stretch. I'm 5'3" 140 pounds and usually closer to a size 4 than a 6. I ended up wearing the 6 and wish I had ordered a 6 and 8. But I also have a bigger butt so that makes gowns like this a little difficult. I am so happy I ordered it though and felt so great in it

I've been eying this dress for a while and finally got to wear it to a black tie gala. This dress is meant to be tight and there is no give. Being 24 weeks pregnant, that didn't deter me! I initially ordered a 2 and 4. Both were too snug around my bump so I called customer service, which is always unbelievable, and they sent me a 6. While the 6 was too long and big in bust, I made it work with pins and tape! Don't let the right fit scare you, it was very manageable and flattering! Would definitely wear again!

I wore this dress for a black tie wedding and it worked out great! The material and color were very elegant. The ruffle top and understated mermaid bottom made me feel very glamorous. In the picture you can see the 2R was a little tight across my stomach, so I ended up wearing a pair of spanx which solved that problem (sorry I don't have a picture with the spanx on). The only other issue I had was with the length of the dress. They didn't have a short option for this dress so I wore 5 inch heels and made it work. The only reason I gave it a 4 star was because the hanging straps came out of the dress several times throughout the night. I taped them down and they still found a way to come out, so just be aware of that. Other than that, I absolutely loved this dress and would highly recommend it!

Very pretty but snug in the hips. The 4R was good everywhere except the hips. 6R was baggy in the waist and fit my hips. Could have worked if needed but I preferred my other dress. There is no stretch or give in the fabric.

The fit was perfect! I opted to have it shortened a bit so it was easier to dance in, but overall great dress!

I rented this as a backup dress and didn't end up wearing it, but I was very close to choosing it in favor of my original dress. The photos of this dress are pretty plain, but on person it is beautiful! It is very curve-accentuating, and there is not a lot of stretch, so if you're in between sizes or have a bigger chest I would recommend sizing up. I would definitely rent this again if I had an appropriate event to wear it to.

The fabric has no strech and its a bit thigh from the legs making difficult to dance around. I felt beautiful in it and will rent it again for another event!

Might be too hot for an outdoor wedding. Poly lining was a bit thick.

The top was a bit large, which is atypical for me since I wear a 34DD.

I ordered this dress as a back up. It runs very small. I typically where a size six with comfort, but the eight would not even zip. I followed other reviewers advice with confidence is ordering a size up; however, it was cleary understated. Other wise great dress!

Simple, classy, elegant- perfect dress for a wedding or any black tie event. Easy to move around in. The only reason I'm giving the dress 4 stars, it's because it runs small & was long on me (but didn't really bother me that much when I had my shoes on). I also received TONS of compliments (even from the bride).

I bought this dress when it went on sale because I've been obsessed with it! I got a 10 because that's what size I wear. I barely got it over my shoulders, and could not get it over my hips. I'm 5'6 160lb-maybe Jill Stewart doesn't know what curves are? Now I'm stuck with a $100 dress I can't wear. #Super-bummed
