Amazing dress. Did pinch the sides a bit by end of night. Some limited mobility for walking (well really running a non profit gala).

I originally ordered this dress in black but something happened with the previous renter and I was offered the red instead. I ended up loving the red dress! The pictures on the site made it seem a bit brighter than the actual color. It was perfect for a formal MBA event I had to attend. I'm 5'3", 120lbs and was between the 2R and the 4P. Both fit but the 2R just sat better in the chest. I didn't want to worry about pulling the top up all evening since it is strapless. The only note is that it definitely is snug around the hips! The material does not have much give so I had to do some shifting every time we sat down. Overall super comfortable and flattering! Would definitely order in other colors in the future.

I felt absolutely amazing in this dress all night. It is sexy but so classy. The material is great, very flattering as it hugs your body. It is tight but not so much that you can't move or breath. I do recommend some two sided fabric tape to secure it to your chest if you are not going to wear a strapless bra. I honestly can't say enough wonderful things about this dress. I received compliments all night long from everyone. And my boyfriend was totally knocked out when he saw me. This is not a dress for a wallflower- you will stand out, but in a beautiful way. RENT IT!

I wore this dress for a military ball and it ended up being amazing for the event. I am typically a size 4 but read most reviews and decided to go up a size. Fits perfectly around the hips (however be warned it is VERY form fitting) and I didn't need to wear a bra (as there is wiring built inside the dress). I am 5'6 and paired it with 4 inch heels and the length ended up being ideal! I felt like royalty as the deep red cascaded to the floor. I cannot speak enough about this dress, I am absolutely in love with it and truly wish I could wear it everyday!!

Pros: This dress is gorgeous! Regal! Classic!! Stunning! The necklace, I wanted to keep forever. It definitely complimented the dress to beautifully (I opted for mystery bling. LOVED IT!) This wasn't my original rental. My first option was cut extremely small. When I contacted RTR, they went above and beyond to make sure I had dress for the formal event I was attending. I was VERY impressed, and my nerves were eased knowing that they overnighted this gown to me. Cons: The dress is cut very small and the boning of this particular dress was uncomfortable. It kept poking my ribcage... but beauty is pain ;-) Overall: Highly recommend renting this dress, but defiantly size up 1-2 sizes!

I don't usually where red, but I loved this. It felt very glamorous, and sexy! I will say, the top didn't stay put as much as I would like, but this may only be a problem for bustier gals like me. It wasn't too bad either way. I got a lot of compliments.

The dress was very form fitted and comfortable. It was hard to sit down, but other than that it was a great fit. I never worried about the top falling down because there is almost an underwire bra built into the dress. Highly recommend.

It was a very forgiving fabric and the length was perfect. I have a small chest so I bought a VERY padded strapless bra to hold up the top and fill out the dress. But it worked and I did not have to pull it up all night. I danced easily and had a blast in this dress.

I absolutely LOVED this dress! I ordered the 2L and 4R. Ended up in the 2L because I liked that the fit was a little more snug (to hug the curves). I typically wear 4+ inch heels which is why I ordered the long size. Wore my 4+ heels and it kissed the ground at the perfect length. Lucky! I also rented the necklace which was beautiful. There were other people who wore red at this event but they were so bright....this red is a little darker/richer. The scallop detail was a nice touch on the simple dress. I did not wear a bra as it had ribbing inside the bodice.

The fit on this dress was flawless, perfect length with a 3 inch heel. No bra required is a win in my book. This was my first experience with RTR and I could not have been happier, I cannot wait to rent my next dress. The dress did fit true to size.

The dress was GORGEOUS! My second bigger size came with a rip so I had to wear the 8L, and it was very tight. I managed to sit down in it, carefully, but every time I went to the bathroom I had to pretty much come out of the dress. I really think the 8L made the top fit better. I don't think I would have worn the bigger size even if there was no rip in it. Also, if you can get away without wearing spandex, i recommend it because the fabric underneath will ride up if you do. Overall, it was a great dress and I had a wonderful experience with RTR for the first time.

I absolutely loved this dress and I got so many compliments. The dress had a Hollywood look and gives a beautiful silhouette. Dress runs true to size. I'm normally a 4-6 but the 6 fit just right. Im 126 pounds and 5 foot .. definitely a little long so I used temporary double sided fabric tape. Really happy with my rental- sad to give it back!

This dress is amazing! Thick enough to hide anything, stretchy enough to allow you to move comfortably. Wouldn't recommend for warm weather. It's conservative without being boring, due to the fun cutout. Couldn't have been more comfortable, but still felt fancy!

I rented this gown for our engagement photos and a Debutante Ball in the same day. It was gorgeous and fit perfectly! It accentuated my curves and I could not have been more pleased with my rental!

True to size and fit great. I wish I had gotten the long so that the dress hit the floor but overall gorg.

I got so many compliments on this dress and it fit like a glove. The color is beautiful. It was a bit long...I wore 4 inch heels and still would have like it to be just a touch shorter but amazing dress none the less. I would definitely go a size up because while the 4R fit it was a little too snug though my hips/butt, and since the event was for my husband's work I went with the 6R which fit perfectly. I'd rent this dress again and again!

This was my backup because my primary had a rip in it. In hindsight I'm so happy the first one didn't work because this was a knock out! Dress is tight but still covers a good amount of imperfections. The top was PERFECT for a little extra coverage if you're worried about too much cleavage.

the dress fit beautifully on my figure but there were many wrinkles around the seams of the dress in the front and i had to get it steamed. i'm not very curvy at all and i thought the dress would exaggerate my curves and have a mermaid effect but it didn't so i had to stand in a super uncomfortable positions for pictures haha but it was a very pretty dress and i was very happy with how it looked!! 10/10 thanks RTR!!

Love love loved this dress. My original choice was not available, but I'm so glad to have found this one! I received compliments all night long! Couldn't have been happier with this rental... I recommend going a size up with your backup size if you have a larger chest or bottom. I wore a 4, but I feel like I could have worked with a 6 because of my curvier figure.

Fabric was great and color perfect! Like some of the other reviews stated it was a little snug in the hips but I think part of that is the fit plus I am more pear shaped. I still wore the size 2R and had no issues.

I wore this to a gala in Washington, DC attended by ambassadors and government officials, and I couldn't have been better dressed! It is a very beautiful, rich red and I got lots of compliments- especially on the color. I wear between size 8-10 and the 10L was fit very nicely but was definitely on the tighter side. If you are between two sizes, I would order up a size to give you room to breathe (and drink!). The dress has structure to it that creates or enhances an hourglass shape, and it was long enough to wear 4 inch comfortable wedges that couldn't be seen! It is definitely a striking dress and feels very high-quality. Loved it!

I originally ordered the Elizabeth and James Giulia Gown in red but my backup size was not available. Customer service was wonderful in offering me the one E&J gown with this as a backup in two sizes. THANK GOD I had two choices because there was no way my bubbies were working in the original E&J. This dress, however, was so good to my chest. No bra needed for 34DD and they felt perfectly supported and appropriately accentuated for a work event. This dress is made for curves! The only issue was a small tear in the side. I would totally rent again.

I rented this dress for a homecoming parade. I absolutely loved it, it fit perfectly and the dress is a stunning bright red. I would definitely recommend this dress for any time of formal event!

I loved this dress! I am 5'2" and I wore 4.75 inch heels. It is long. I usually wear a size 4 but the reviews said to size up. I am glad I did. God blessed me with a booty. Lol. The dress hugs in all the right places and the 6R fit perfect. It wasn't too tight or big. Comfortable. Everyone kept telling my I looked stunning the dress. It was perfect for the gala! I will rent this one again and be using RTR again! Great experience!!

The dress fit like a glove that flared out to give me a curvy silhouette to a fairly straight body type. I danced in this all night long and never worried about the top falling. I felt incredible this evening--never have felt like I walked into a room and had all eyes on me for all the right reasons. Bravo RtR

I wore this dress to my junior prom, the fit was very true to size and was pretty long I'm 5'3 so I had to wear 6 inch heels and it still dragged on the ground when I walked but other than that the dress was really pretty and I got a lot of compliments all night!

This dress was so gorgeous and I received compliment throughout the entire event. It allows you to wear red to a formal wedding without being tacky or attracting attention for the wrong reasons. The red is a true scarlet red and the fabric is sturdy (bodice has wiring to hold the form and keep everything flat and upright) but still allows for movement and breath-ability. I wore this for a wedding at the Juno Garden in Caesars Palace, Las Vegas, which began at 6pm (still sunlight) and wore it into the night with no problem. It is long so for those borderline R to L debaters, I'm 5'4" and wore 4" sandal heels (flat, no platform) and it could've used maybe a half inch lift to be absolutely perfect. But, it was by no means unwearable or uncomfortable to walk in at that length and did not get in the way at all. Also, the material travels well and I didn't need to steam it when I got to Las Vegas after having packed it in my suitcase. I am a 34B, did not wear any bra and the material was thick enough to hide any indecency. I did wear spanx just because I usually feel more comfortable in them for nicer events but I actually wish I wouldn't have in this dress. They added more thickness than actually helping smooth things and the dress alone would've probably fallen better had I not worn them. In the picture, though, I didn't have any on.

I'm 5'3 with an athletic build, 36C chest, 27inch waist. The dress did NOT run short for me. I had to wear 4 in heels in a 10R- perfect. I ordered the 8 & 10, but the dress runs SUPER SMALL & there is no stretch in the butt/hips. I had to go up 2 sizes than my norm and there was no issue with the chest being too big.

This dress was actually my replacement dress but I ended up loving it so much! I knew it was fate that I would end up with a red dress (I planned on renting red but just never did). Weird how life works out, and how I ended up falling in love with my replacement dress. But it's simple yes but is very striking because of the red. The fit is amazing too and hugs the body perfectly. Pair it with gold jewelry and your golden for the night!

COLOR - Beautiful crimson color, looks a bit darker than on the website FIT - Hugs the body in all the right ways. I would suggest getting your normal size and then one size up as it can be quite tight. By the end of the night, with all of the food and drinks it was hard to breathe. But great for posture! Perhaps a 6R would have resolved this, but the dress would scrunch up when I sat down and would not smooth out when standing, so it required a bit of maintenance. I wore spanx to smooth but the material is thick so no need to worry about lines (I wouldn't recommend for a hot event however as this dress will keep you warm). The top holds up great and didn't need to adjust it all night! I'm a 32C/34B and felt that I filled the top nicely while wearing a strapless bra (which I never had issues with showing through the top of the dress). LENGTH - I'm 5'5 and wore 3.75 inches and still was tripping from time to time. I stepped on the dress multiple times, as did people around me since it mermaids at the bottom (great for pictures!). I needed to hike up the dress in general to move around. I think 4.5 in heels would have resolved this problem. MISC - One thing to note is that I received a defect dress that was a shade lighter and clearly had better times before it got to me. Customer service was amazing and sent me a replacement but the defect dress had some major problems. The crumb catcher top was not straight and there was puckering. If you receive a dress like that, please just get a replacement, I promise that doesn't represent this dress's beauty!

I used my unlimited subscription to rent this dress for my friend. She is tall and skinny, so this dress looked great on her! She loved it!

I am 5'6 and my body type is more athletic, and I wore a size 4R. For the most part, the dress was a nice fit. There was definitely more room in the chest area because I am an A/small B, but it didn't affect my comfort level throughout the night. Only negative thing was making sure the strings inside the dress were tucked it, but I didn't even have to fuss with those much. Overall, I really liked this dress. It was beautiful.

The fit was perfect, except for the length. I am 5'3" and wore 5" heels and it was still a little long. The rest fit like a glove and I could move/walk well in it. I didn't wear a bra and didn't have any problems with it falling down. The color turned out to be slightly darker red than what is shown in the main photos but I still loved the color. Would definitely rent this again or recommend it to a friend.
