I got the 4R and 4L based on the previous reviews. I am 5'7" and weigh 130 pounds. The 4R was perfect with a 3 inch heel. I did not wear a bra and am a B cup so I just used some sticky tape and had no issues because the material was thick.

This dress was incredible - I got several compliments, even from old ladies in the restroom! I wore it to a black tie optional wedding, and it was formal enough yet had a sexy edge because of the cutout. I have a very wide rib cage/shoulders (36b) and the 6R fit perfectly- it fit me in a way that there was no chance for wardrobe malfunction and the material is thick, so I didn't wear a bra. I'm 5'6" and wore 2" kitten heels and the length was perfect- just skimmed the floor! It hangs beautifully and was really fun to dance in. This dress is the reason renting from Rent the Runway is genius over buying- so beautiful and unforgettable that people would actually remember if you ever wore it again!

I got this dress for a formal dance and it was such a perfect dress. It was very flattering on my body. What I loved most was that it really stood out without being too loud. I had hoped to be able to wear a strapless bra with it, but the cut on the side was just a little to high for that to work and I ended up wearing sticky boobs. Overall, I would definitely recommend this dress.

The fabric is not stretchy, so order your side and one size up. I did not have to wear a bra and felt fully supported and I was not worried about any dress malfunctions. I LOVED this dress and was so sad to have to send it back.

This dress was amazing! It was snug and sexy but perfect for the Navy Ball that I attended. I am 5'4" weighing 155 lbs and a 36D. I was concerned at first about the chest being too tight but it was perfect and kept everything in place while looking elegant. The earrings were a great add on from this site too.

This dress would be great for someone who is small in the waist but has wide hips. It fit me perfectly and I had room to eat too. It also is good for someone who has large breasts but is small like a 32 or 34!

Perfect one shoulder gown for a black tie event! I loved the subtle cut out on this dress. At 5'4 the length was perfect on me in about 3 inch heels. I would recommend sizing up if you have a bigger bust size, and definitely wear a strapless or nu bra. Something that is really chic about this dress is the the two tone color of black and blue. You can pair this dress with a great accent cuff and earring!

Runs slightly big. I ordered the 4R and 2R, but went with the 2R (I may have possibly even been able to wear a 0R). I loved the cut-out and how lightweight the crepe fabric was. Since I am petite, the top hung a little low on me. Therefore, my right bust felt very exposed. I wore a nu bra to prevent any exposure. I wish RTR had this in other colors bc I would've loved a more vibrant color. Overall, though, this dress was very flattering and modern. I highly recommend for someone looking to be a little sexy without being too revealing. And it is very comfortable!

This was my first RTR and I was really impressed, with only one review to go off of this dress was almost a perfect fit. The 6 was a little loose in the top---but if you could find a way to wear a bra there wouldn't be. The cutout is angled up under your arm, so the side of a strapless would hang out. I wore stickies and it worked pretty well. Loved the fit of this dress, it's a great trendy piece for only $70 or whatever!!

I wore this dress for my high school military ball, and it fit the occasion perfectly. Upon trying the dress on I noticed it was a little big but I think that if I would've just gotten a smaller size it would've fit perfectly. I'm so glad I got the stress I got dozens of compliments and it looked amazing!

Perfect fit

I loved this dress. I wore a Size 2 and it fit perfectly. I am pretty solid Size 2- a lean, 117lbs, 5'4". I did not get compliments at the event for the dress because other formal dresses were more outspoken, but that is also my style - a little understated/simple but edgy. The photograph with my dad at the family friends wedding is very nice and that is where all the compliments come from when I show friends. I was happy that the one shoulder was not a problem for me, and dancing on the dance floor was okay - I tied the bottom up so the ends would not drag and collect the dance floor grime. The dress was barely wrinkled by this when I let it down later that night.

Runs large, the 0 just skimmed my hips, no snug spots. The cut is flattering and cutout detail is visually interesting - not revealing. Decided on a different dress but would definitely rent for a different event in the future.

Runs a little big, I had to wear my back up dress. Length was perfect for me at 5'2 with 4 inch heels. Did not need a bra with this dress. I was playing with my friend's 2 year old and afraid that my breast might come out of the cutout (but it never did). Lots of compliments!

I wore this for a charity gala and it was perfect for the theme. The colors are dark and subtle but the cutout really makes it stand out. I'm 5' - 7" and then 4L was just a hair too long - I kept stepping on the fabric. The 4R was a little bit short, but I opted for it instead. The material is great and hugs in all the right places. My original dress has a large rip near the zipper and RTR sent me a new dress overnight - great customer service. Highly recommended!

I wore this to a black tie event and wanted something "not too flashy" yet "classy with a slight edge" - and it was perfect! I did try it on at a RTR location prior (along with 10 other gowns) in NYC and it was a wonderful experience. I tried on the 4 (which was fine in length but no way I could wear heels with it) but they had a 4Long (3'' longer than regular). I got the 2L as a back up - however the 4L was 1/2'' longer so I chose to go with it even though it was just barley a tad loose in the hips due to wearing 3' heels. The dress was 1'' from touching the floor. Which was fine! I also wore a nude strapless bra and used double sided sticky tap to make sure it stayed hidden. OR, you could use stick ons. Overall WIN and great first experience!

Wore a NuBra sticky bra and the dress covered well. Stuffed the dress hanging straps into the sticky part of my bra so they wouldn't keep popping out. Easy to dance in, light, thin, good length, could just see the tips of my shoes.

The dress fit perfectly and was comfortable all night long. It can be worn with a strapless bra, but it was also comfortable without one. Being short, it was quite long but with a platform heel the length ended up being perfect.

The dress was a little tight in the chest, and I don't have boobs so I had to size up. Really fun to wear though!

I was so excited to wear this dress, but unfortunately could not because it was about 2 inches too short. I ordered the regular length because I am 5'5''-5'6'' and wanted to wear flats, but it was so short that wearing it wasn't even an option.

This really was a beautiful, comfortable, very flattering dress. This was sent to me automatically by RTR support as a back up when my original dress wasn't available. I'm usually between a 2-4 dress size depending on style. I said it's 'True to Size' because it was fitted (not tight) around my waistline. I think a size up may have been to big in the waist. However, because of the size and placement of the cut out, I wasn't able to wear a strapless bra. When I tried it without a bra, you could see the bottom of my boob! It might work for someone with a smaller chest! I'm a 32 DD (sometimes 34 D) for reference.
