Rented the dress in hopes of having something for our gala while pregnant, and this was a good choice! Dress has a little stretch which was good for the tummy, and the regular was actually short enough I wore flats which was a game changer! I am a little over 6 months pregnant in this photo, so I went up a size. I typically get a 4 and 6, and this one I ended up getting a 6 and 8 since the 10 wasn’t available. I wish I had the 10 for just a little more room, but the 8 fit fine! If I had any complaints, I’d recommend getting it pressed because it wrinkles pretty easily...sadly, this dress arrived a whole day late so I had to steam it myself which wasn’t as nice, but it worked. Definitely a good choice for the moment for me! BTW, I am 5’4”, about 34C, 150 lbs in this photo, not my regular size (for sizing options)

I was attending a formal gala and the theme was "Once Upon a Time." This dress, with its dramatic cape, was perfect! I got so many compliments all night. It fit well and true to size. It was a little long though, I needed pretty high heels. (I'm 5'5"). The most annoying thing about this dress was the little straps to hang the dress on the hanger...they kept coming out and I was fiddling with them all night. I guess I should have pinned them somehow. There are three of them and I wished I could have just removed them! Its a beautiful dress and I would definitely wear it again.

Thankfully, I had two sizes to choose from. Even though the size 4 fit better in the hips and waist and I needed the size 6 to account for bustline, I would still say the dress runs true to size. I not only felt elegant, but comfortable. I am very satisfied with my gown selection and look forward to having an occassion to use the app again in the near future. The ease of the entire process made for a wonderful first expeience with RTR.

I absolutely love this dress, I felt amazing wearing it! I didn't want to return it and I have even thought about renting it again since it comes in other colors! It fit like a glove and was super comfortable and easy to wear. I wore it to a winter wedding, it might be a bit warm for a hot summer/outdoor event. Form-fitting top but not too tight and it has a hidden slit in the back so it is easy to walk and dance in. I received so many compliments and I felt like a million $$$!

Dress fit just as described by other reviewers - comfortable but not a lot of "give". Gorgeous red color, I received compliments all evening! Disclaimer for tall girls: I am 6'1", ordered the 4 Long, and it was a good length. I would have preferred an inch or two longer, but I was still able to wear 2 inch heels

Fit true to size and very comfortable!

I ordered a 0L and they sent the 0R because the 0L was damaged. As a result I could not wear heels because it didnt give off the desired effect. I still loved the dress and recieved so many compliments throughout the night

I would love to own this dress! It is definitely a show stopper. I mean, it's got a cape! I felt like a glamorous super hero and received many compliments. Yet another successful RTR rental. You will absolutely need fashion tape if you want to rent this dress. Like other reviewers have stated, there are a number of hanger straps inside the dress that don't stay put unless you tape them down inside the dress. No big deal, really.

I'm 5'6", and I needed 3.5" heels to make the 2L work. It was the only choice available, but I'm glad I went with it. Fashion tape is a good idea, and the cape will help keep you warm if your event is in the winter. It's easy to move in, but probably not ideal for dancing.

The dress fit true to size

This dress is unbelievably gorgeous. I had so many compliments when I wore this for an awards ceremony. The cape is my favorite part. Stunning! Definitely order a size up. I normally wear a 2 or 4, and really needed a 6 for this, but I ordered too late. It was so, so tight around my hips. If I ever rented again, I'd go a size up! Other than that.... worth renting!

I felt like a movie star the whole night - the cape grabbed everyone's attention! I felt like June Carter Cash. I want to buy this dress!

Wow, what a showstopper this Jill Stuart gown is. If you are going to a formal event, look no further, this redone-shoulder gown will make everyone's head turn. Running on the smaller size I would recommend sizing up for your second size. If you have fuller hips, I would recommend sizing up for your primary size as the fabric has no stretch. This gown is very fitted throughout and will definitely show off your body, while the cape provides a classy edge to this otherwise sexy red number. Wear with a gorgeous pair of stand out stud earrings and you will be the talk of the night!

Beautiful fit! I am a size 10, they were sold out so I went to a 12. The 12 was gave me a lot of room, which I pinned up. But overall, it was stunning! The length was perfect and the dress was great!

This dress was perfect for the American Heart Association Heart Ball that I volunteered for. The dress was just the right amount of formal, with a flare of fun using the cap. I originally asked for a 0R, as that is my size, but ended up using the 2R for the better fit. I received so many compliments for the dress and felt so glamorous the entire evening. I highly recommend this dress to anyone!

It was a masquerade ball, so the cape was an extra dramatic touch. I was nervous because I couldn't order up a size like people suggested in the reviews, but it ended up fitting perfectly with some spanx underneath. This was my first rental and I had such a great experience, I will most definitely be renting again whenever I get the chance.

The gown is REALLY tight through the midsection. I am pear shaped so it was too big on the top and super snug on the bottom. The cape is heavy too which didn't help. I used a couple strips of dress tape to keep the shoulder in place. I wore two pair of spanx on the bottom to smooth out the dress around the hip. Though I was strapped in I was pretty comfortable all night. The dress was a hit and well worth the struggle to get in. Definitely size up like everyone has said.

From the second I put it on, I was in love. The dress fit like a glove. It was not form fitting like most styles out now, but the way it draped on my body was truly flattering. I wore a sticky bra underneath, though I could have probably gone without one entirely. My body is difficult to dress sometimes. My shoulders are more broad for my chest size.. (sigh) #femalepains. The cape brought such an edge to it that EVERY SINGLE PERSON I came in contact with commented on how amazing I looked. In the picture I am not wearing heels which is why the dress looks so long on me. I wore a 4" heel and it feel perfectly.

It runs small in the fit and is very long so keep that in mind.

This dress was just stunning! The silhouette is sleek and so flattering. The cape made it so much fun to wear and I got so many compliments. The fit was pretty true to size, although it was a little tight in the thigh/hips area for a 2. If you're usually a zero like I am, definitely get the 2 instead. I'm 5'3 and so I had to wear platform 5" heels to make it the perfect length. The only thing I would say is if you're at an event where you'll be sitting for awhile, take all of your pictures before you have to sit down because the dress definitely wrinkles around the hips after sitting for a long time and you can't get those wrinkles to go away. Other than that, it's a true showstopper!

I rented this dress for the Black Tie Tailgate, which is the preview party for the Philadelphia Auto Show. The event attire definitely runs the gamut from sexy cocktail to super formal, so I decided to go with something bold but still elegant...and this dress was just perfect. I had not one, but two people stop me to say that my dress was the best of the night. So, the look of this dress is definitely a pro. Here are some cons: It is heavy, but nothing too hard to handle. It also does show flaws and fits tight in the hips. Although it shows flaws, the fabric is thick and does help in a way make to you feel skinny--sucks anything in. Also, it does run a bit short. I am 5'4'' and I actually ended up wearing the 6L instead of the 8R, which was baggy and short.

It actually fit perfectly, however, I tried it on with two different bras and it fit tighter with the bombshell bra! It would have fit better in a bra with less padding. Overall, it was a perfect fit. It was long enough, so everyone could see my shoes. I'm 5'7 and (R)egular size dresses usually have the perfect length for my height.

Normally I'm a 2 but I went for the 0 because it was all they had. It fit perfectly. It is super flattering without being skin tight. I received compliments all night. The Bride even said something! I would rent again again and again

I was a little nervous initially about renting this dress because I read that it ran kinda small. This was somewhat true for me too, it fit normal size in the bust area but the hip and butt area was really tight (thanks mom lol)....overall, this was a really comfortable and beautiful dress, but I suggest a higher heel as it did run really long. I will be using RTR again and again!

I felt like a diva in this dress! I wore it for a concert and it was just perfect. The cape is amazing (I always wanted to wear a dress with a cape), and the overall design is just classic and stunning. I also like that the shade of red is not too light--it is a true red (not verging on orange or pink). I am 5'6" and was able to wear flats, although it was a bit long with flats. I just made sure to walk with care and it was great.

Worn to a holiday gala / benefit. This dress steals the show, I received many compliments (several from complete strangers who came across the room to compliment me). The 6 was too small in the bust, but fit in the waist. I wore the 8 and it was bit loose in the waist and that caused the top to shift around when I sat, so I had frequent hanger loop citings. Otherwise it was a memorable dress for a memorable evening! Fun!

The 2 fit up to my chest but wouldn't zip (I'm a 32D) and was a little short with my heels. The 4R was the perfect length but a bit loose in areas. I felt stunning in the dress and got so many compliments from ladies at the event. It was sexy without being obvious and a total standout at the gala!

Fit was true to size, I would go a size down if you want it a little more snug, but other than that length and fit was great. Only thing that was a little annoying was the hanger strings-they kept popping out of the dress. Everything else was perfect.

I wore this to a Black Tie Affair for a Fraternity 75 Anniversary. I loved everything about the dress. The color is extremely vibrant and vivid. This dress made me feel extremely sexy and tall. It seemed a bit too snug in the torso area yet, the breast area was a little large. I am 63" (considered short) and was concerned the size 4 regular was going to be too long; however the heel height worked out well. The pairing of my jewelry, make up, and hair tied it all in. My concerns were the extreme wrinkling and the zipper that was being caught in the material once I got in the dress. Not even my husband could help with this. I ended up calling customer service the following day about my concerns and was told to steam my bathroom in order to get the wrinkles out. This would not have worked due to the large size and layout of my custom home built bathroom. Thank goodness I have a steamer and this took me five to six hours to hide the liner that could be seen when wearing, steam the seam allowance by turning the dress inside out, and the zipper area to prevent the zipper from catching in the material. Once I was done with the steaming, I was able to get the dress zipped with the help of my makeup artist. The customer service representative did offer me the opportunity to get a replacement dress; however, it would not have been the same dress and I called within 15 minutes missing the opportunity of getting a suggested dress that I was not able to see on my phone by noon on Sat, Nov 7, 2015. Despite this, I would not trade the wearing of this dress that I inquired about purchasing the dress.

This dress was a hit at a November black tie wedding in Chicago. It's flattering to the frame as well as conservative with its across the chest. I would rent this or a similar style again the cape being a very in trend. I usually am an 8-10 in dresses and the 8 was perfect for me. I did pair this with earrings from RTR and a clutch

It fit pretty good! A little big in the middle but needed it for my boobs! Very breathable and everyone loved it!

The 8L was a perfect length for me, I'm 5'10" and it just hit the floor when I wore kitten heels. I thought it was a great fit everywhere except my hips. I have wider hips and the dress was quite tight in that area, but the cape helped hide any weird bunching of the material. The cape touched the floor behind me but it didn't drag too much or cause any tripping. I loved the cape and the color! Would definitely wear again.

I loved the color and the cape on this dress was fabulous but it didn’t fit as flattering as I hoped it would. I ordered a 6L & 8L and had to go with the 8L and then pinned the back of the dress for the pictures. Also, even though I ordered a L it wasn’t long enough for heels at all.
