This dress is very Body conscious so I went with a 12 instead of my usual 10 and I'm so glad I did! It was very flattering and accentuated the right curves. I wore it to a semi-formal banquet for my husband's company. I posted a pic on social media and almost every comment was, " I love your dress!"

The fit was true to size. The dress has slight wear to it--the zipper wasn't as stiff and bumped out and the lace had some fuzz and seeable wear - but it did not take away from the dress...especially for an evening event. I seriously received compliments all night. I want this dress to come in a different color so I can wear it to weddings! lol Its a gorgeous dress, the back is beautiful, and you will steal the show with this dress!

Overall review I wore the dress for my bridal shower and received endless compliments. This dress helped me to feel extra beautiful on a very special day. I highly recommend this dress for all brides to be. Fit I normally can squeeze into a size 6 but wear an 8 comfortably. However as someone who is curvy and a 34dd there was no way I could close the size 8 without smashing my boobs. If you are top heavy I recommend you size up. Tip If you must wear a bra consider investing in "fashion form go bare ultimate boost backless strapless bra".

This dress fit perfectly in my usual size. Please note that you will need a backless bra for this dress as the lace over the shoulders and back is sheer. It was very comfortable for a long event and dinner. The lace was a bit worn but the dress was overall in great condition and no one could notice once I had it on. This is one of those dresses that is appropriate for both professional / serious events but also for fun and going out. Highly recommend!

Fit was slightly large in the bust, but due to the color an the overlay, this was not noticeable. You cannot wear a bra with this dress, so account for that if you have a smaller chest. I am 5'4" and the dress length fell just below my knees. Fit perfectly other than that...just watch out as the material snags if you have any sharp jewelry

This dress is great especially for a rehearsal dinner or bridal shower. I wore this for my rehearsal and loved it. It was knee length on me (and I am 5'11") the only thing that bothered me about the fit was that the slit in the back felt high. I also didn't have the proper bra for this (needs to be strapless and low back) the 6 and 8 both fit but I went with the one with a little more wiggle room since I would be sitting all night! All in all highly recommend it!

The back of the dress was exquisite, the knee length was appropriate for a more formal affair, and it was comfortable to wear throughout the night! Highly recommend this dress!

I wore this to my wedding shower, it's conservative yet stylish. The RTR picture makes it look more silver but the lace is actually black, looked great with black open toed shoes.

I wore this dress to my bridal shower and absolutely loved it and got so many compliments on it! It does run a little snug through the hips so I would recommend sizing up for your backup size.

I rented this dress for my bridal shower. It was absolutely perfect!!!! I'm a huge fan of sheath dresses for work and professional occasions and this was my version of a fun sheath dress. The sheer overlay is fantastic and the sweat hart neckline underneath is very classy and feminine. I have a small chest and wider hips, so I ended up wearing the 2 so the dress didn't "pull" in the butt area. You will not be disappointed, I was in love!!!

This gorgeous, elegant dress was perfect for my 5'9" 118ish (+/-5 pounds) in the size 2 and comfortable enough that I wore it for at least 8 hours without complaint. It's glam but not too showy or too sexy. The knee length was perfect even on my tall-ish frame. I wore it to a gorgeous and very strict all white-dress wedding and I am still blushing from the ridiculous amounts of compliments I received. It certainly photographs well! Wish I could have kept it. I'd get married in it myself. The black lace lines on it provided great subtle detail, especially at the sheer neck, so that the dress stood out just a little from the pack but not so much that it broke the white-dress code. The fit was body hugging enough to be flattering but not so much that I was bursting from the seams or unable to move about. I was concerned at first that the back slit was too high up, but, as it turns out, those extra inches came in handy for easy movement and there was no "exposure" issue. I wasn't at all awkward sitting down - and - big bonus: I didn't have to yank the dress down at the waist all night like with many other form fitting sheath dresses - even when dancing. I did see some signs of wear in the lace itself but I wouldn't let that stop me from renting it. A+++ *I had the size 4 for back up, but didn't need it. The size 4 did not seem to give extra length but did have noticeable room in the bosom and rump, for those on the fence about sizing.

the fit was true to size. for me it fit perfectly up top but a little snug on the hips (that is just my body type, most dresses fit like that on me). you need a low back or backless bra because the open lace work back is beautiful. the whole dress photographs very well. the dress was elegant and classy. i wore black steve madden stecy shoes and minimal jewelry because the dress speaks for itself did not need busy accessories.

So, my event was cancelled at the last minute and I couldn't wear this out, but I really wish I could have. I loved this dress. Many sheath dresses with tighter skirts like this are too small on the bottom and too big on top, but the ones that fit look amazing. This fit great, it was a quality fabric and it looked so good on. I would say that if you are smaller than a B cup on top I wouldn't do this because that's what I am and it was just slightly too big in the chest. Other than that though, loved it and will order it again.

This was my second option for a black / white wedding (not black tie) and ended up being the winner! I am tall & love a mid-length dress (or in this case, knee-length). The fit, quality, and elegance were just what I was looking for. The fabric is a silk blend, or something, covered by a lovely, light black lace overlay (on the thin side & may work best for summer). Not shown: the back dips down a bit & requires the wearer to go braless / employ a cup bra situation. All in all this is a wonderful LWD & I highly recommend :)

If you are looking for a dress that is modest, classy and elegant, this would be the one. The lace overlay is more cream than a true white with black delicately intertwined throughout this dress. Black shoes and purse are the perfect compliment! The lining is well made but there is not much give in this fabric but it still is comfortable. It runs true to size and maybe a bit on the smaller size since it is so form fitting. The back of the dress from the waist up has no lining so you can't wear a bra. I wore sticky pasty bra pads that have no back and they worked fine, however I'm not very busty and the bigger you are the more support you may need. I wore this dress to a cocktail party and stood out because of the color and lace combination. This dress makes a statement in an elegant way!

The dress was perfect for an awards ceremony I had to attend for work. The material is a little thin so make sure you wear nude/white underwear. The dress fit amazing! It is a little tight in the hips so if you have bigger hips, I would order a size up. The length was perfect and I didn't have to keep adjusting it all night. With the beautiful high neckline I opted for very shiny diamond earrings and a sparkling diamond bracelet. I wish I could have bought this dress!

This dress is really pretty and the details are exquisite! I wore the size 2 because the dress was really tight on my rib cage just under the bra line, the 2 was more comfortable. I felt really sophisticated in this dress and had a great time.

This dress is absolutely stunning! The open lace in the back shows a little skin while still being very classy. The only problem with the dress was the lining at the bottom of the dress. It was almost droopy at the bottom which caused the hem area to look funny. Not a deal breaker, but enough to be annoying. Not sure if this is the case with each dress or just this particular one. This was actually a back up dress that was resent after my original order didn't fit. Customer service made the process so easy and took care of everything I needed.

The dress photographs VERY well. Its so much cute when you put it on versus on the hanger. I have broad shoulders and am busty, so i opted for the size 6 rather than size 4. A little longer of a dress if your on the shorter end (I'm 5'3"), but not bad. Its tea length on me. Very comfortable and it didn't irritate around the armpit area. I would rent it again!

This is a slim fit dress with no give in the fabric. I'm a size 2 in the bust but a size 6 in the hips, and I wore the 4. It was a little loose on top and super tight in the hips. There was a roll in the lining where it was pulled too tight. Wore it anyway, loved it, but grateful I didn't need to move much in it.

Wished this was nipped a little more in the waist, so you can size down if you run small in the waist but have curves. Great appliqué and details!

Size up the dress and size down the spanx! This dress was extremely tight. I am 5'4", and 115 pounds. I wore a 2 but wished I'd sized up. I used stick on bra pads bc the back is a bit see thru (plus there was no room left in the dress to fit a bra!). The dress really is gorgeous and the material is great but as noted by other reviewers the lining peeks out from the bottom hem which takes away from the overall look slightly.

When i got the dress i was shocked! Its way more beautiful in person. I got the dress in a 2 and 4. The 2 fit perfectly, just a little tight in the bust, but that worked out because i didn't have to wear a bra that id be fighting to keep up all night. I paired it with some metallic stilletos for a little edginess. The look was so classy and beautiful. I got a ton of compliments!

Thank God for RTR's emergency overnight service. I decided to get this dress and am so glad I did!! The dress made it in time 2 hours before the shower and the size 2 fit like a glove! It fit my curves in a very classy way. Felt like a bride :) Oh and it doesn't really say, but the dress doesn't have defined inner cups. I have a smaller chest and could have gone braless but opted to wear a chicken cutlet bra. Not sure how bigger chested ladies would do if they opted to go without a bra. Love this dress! Want to own it!!

The back was very snug and didn't allow for arm movement but it was comfortable enough while holding a baby for an hr. I wore sticky cups bra, the back is so low, a strapless bra showed. I highly recommend this dress as it's super unique and appropriate for a formal event.

This was my first rent the runway experience. I rented this dress for my bridal shower. I normally wear a 6 in dresses but read the reviews/comments that it runs small, so ordered an 8 and 10. I wore the 8. The back is sheer so you need to wear a backless strapless bra(I knew this from reading reviews). I wanted to wear spanx to slim everything out. I ended up having to roll the spanx shorts up due to the high slit in the back. Overall, this dress was fabulous and I received several compliments! I would rent it again.

This dress is very refined looking for an all over lace style. I wore it to church and then brunch. It was a replacement for a dress that didn't fit and came the very next day before noon. My only complaint is the skirt lining kept peeking out longer than the hem of the dress.
