This dress is beautiful! I got so many compliments at the party I wore it to. It's really shimmery, which you can't really see in the picture on the model, I'd say it's cream/gold color. It's a very flattering cut but I was a little uncomfortable in the dress because the straps are not adjustable so all night I was pulling down the front part that rested on my neck. Also the back straps are a little scratchy and after dancing all night I have red marks on my shoulders from them rubbing against my skin all night. Over all it's a stunning dress but I don't think I'd rent it again because of how uncomfortable the neck and straps are.

This dress was amazing! I wasn't sure about it when I first put it on, but the longer I had it on the more I loved it, and I got so many compliments! Word to the wise, the best way to get this dress on is to make the opening for your head as wide as possible and put your head through it before your arms. Maybe it's just me, but it took some practice for me to get into it without nearly strangling myself, since the straps have no stretch. And yes, they do rub a bit, but it wasn't bothering me until the end of the night. Also, it is much more shimmery gold, not as white as it looks in the photo. Anyway, the dress is stunning and photographs BEAUTIFULLY. At one point during my event (a summer party at a Museum of Fine Arts) a photographer for the museum actually approached me and asked to photograph it because of the way it was draping as I was sitting on a barstool with my legs crossed. Unfortunately I couldn't track down that picture to post here. I didn't want to send it back!

The color is more gold and shimmery than pictures show. It was so fun to dance in, very comfortable.

When I first picked out this dress for prom I ordered it in a 0 and a backup 2. About two weeks before the dance, I got an email saying that the 0 had been damaged or returned late. I was crushed. I begrudgingly picked out a new dress which I received along with the backup size in this dress. The new dress I had picked turned out to be WAY too long so I desperately turned to the backup dress. It was also too big (in the torso) and the straps on it were seriously wonky (one too long and the other too short like it had been repaired incorrectly) but my mom called in the help of a family friend who was able to do some temporary alterations to it - bringing it in at the waist and fixing the strap - so the dress was absolutely perfect. I LOVED this dress! It is classy and minimalistic but still eye-catching and glamorous. My mom said she loved it because, though it was fabulous, it didn't distract from the girl wearing it like so many prom dresses do today. I wore it with a stick on bra and wedge heels that made me feel kind of... "Charlie's Angels"-y. Yes, by the end of the evening the straps were pretty painful, but it was 100% worth it.

The dress was super flattering and looked gorgeous on! I loved it so much. My only complaint is the strap around the neck ran somewhat small and started to bother me by the end of the night. Other than that small detail I was very very happy with this dress.

The dress was just a tad bit tighter in the bust area than I had anticipated. One should also consider wearing a backless bra.

I wore this to a Viennese Ball where my boyfriend and I spent 7 hours dancing both waltz and swing for the entirety of that time. This dress was perfect. It was high enough that I wasn't tripping over it trying to dance but long enough that it was formal enough for this very posh event. The light bounced off it wonderfully, making me sparkle across the dance floor, and it had a great twirl to it. Perfect for spinning and dancing. The material was a little sheeny/polyestery on the inside which isn't great if you're getting expecting to get sweaty, but because it's so loose it worked out fine. In terms of sizing, it only needs to fit around your waist so I was able to wear a size smaller than what I might normally wear. I would suggest ordering your normal size and then one size smaller.

I loved how I felt in the dress. The neckline is so flattering (I don't have a big chest, no bra with this one). I loved the back and the pleated skirt didn't make my hips look big. I loved the length ( i am usually more concerned with my hips, booty and thighs). The only drawback was the material was a bit itchy - especially the straps and it wasn't as fitted in the bodice as I would have liked considering I went braless. But I got tons of compliments at the wedding and I loved how the color showed off my bronze.

This dress is beautiful!! It is impossible to describe how stunning this dress really is. I received so many compliments. I wore it to an event for The American Heart Association so I choose to accessorize with a slim red patent leather belt and red shoes. The arm straps are a little awkward to put on (do your hair AFTER you put the dress on), however, they are just fine once they're on. I was afraid the sides of the halter may gap a bit when dancing so I decided to use dress tape to keep the top secure, but I really don't think I needed it, it was just my own paranoia. The dress fit perfectly and I would suggest ordering true to size. If you're considering this dress...GO FOR IT!! This was my first time using Rent The Runway and I loved this dress so much, I cannot wait for my next event...I am hooked on RTR!

My original dress didn't fit so I had to grab one last minute from the store off 5th Ave. The dress runs true to size so the 12 was quite big (usually I'm a 8/10). Kind of difficult to get on because of the straps.

I wore this for my rehearsal dinner and got so many compliments. I measure 34C-26-38 (5' 8") and wore a size 4 which fit perfectly. This dress is eye-catching, flowy, and comfortable! I know a lot of reviewers complained about the itchy neck tie, but I barely noticed it and I have VERY fair and sensitive skin. This dress is so amazing!! However, I think the length would be a bit awkward on shorter girls.

Such a beautiful dress. I was told the neck was adjustable, which it was not. But that was okay. It fit just fine. Small things like itchy on the shoulders but definitely doable considering how pretty it was. My boyfriend of 3 1/2 years proposed to me at dinner that night. It was our Valentine's Day. I'm so happy how beautiful I felt and looked in this dress. Everyone in the restaurant was staring at me the entire night and clapped after the proposal. It was an unforgettable night! This baby got a lot of compliments and was just the best to dance in. Super subtle gold. The flowy dress was a hit on the dance floor. The only issue was that the neckline is really high and pulls tight thus making it occasionally uncomfortable. If you have sensitive skin or can't handle being pinched a little, rent with caution.

I wish I owned this dress it is truly unbelievable and such a hit at the party! It is tight in the neck area. I wore 0R, weight 125 height 5'6

The dress was stunning!!! I got so many compliments throughout the night and felt beautiful in the dress.

LOVED this dress! So comfortable and easy to move around/dance in all night. I'm usually between a size 2 and 4 and the 4 was def the way to go. Given the cut of the top and the low back you you can;t wear a bra which was fine. I recommend adding a fun belt (which I did) to help define the shape. Otherwise it looks a little incomplete. I wish wish I could own this dress. Got a ton of compliments.

There was a big wrinkle on the front the dress that couldn't be fixed due to a pulling of a thread, but other than that a great fun dress!

I wore this dress for my prom and it was perfect ! The dress fit true to size . The only down falls were the strap were tight so you had to be careful and the gold accents started to pull,

I ordered two sizes 8R and 10R and the 8 fit me really well. The dress has a tiny silver and gold pattern that makes it appear more champagne colored. It is also flowy and shiny which make it flattering. I also like the cut of the dress cause I wasn't tripping over it and you could see my shoes. The back of the dress is also gorgeous. The only problem is you cant wear a bra so I had to get creative.

The neck will scratch you which is why I didn't give it five stars. But I hardly noticed it at all! Would have worn the 4 but the neck straps came broken:-( so I had to go with the 6!

PROS - I was able to wear it without a bra and the length in the size R was the perfect tea length at my height [6ft]. The color also photographed really well. CONS - This dress was a little tight in the neckline & shoulders. I rented the size 8 & size 10 and opted to wear the size 10 because even though the 8 fit better in the body, the size 10 was a bit more comfortable at the shoulders.

Worn to a corporate gala. Overall, I had a great experience with this dress. I ordered the 2R but once it arrived, the straps on the back were broken, so I had to go with the 4R instead. The bottom of the dress was a little frayed, but not noticeable. The neck is very fitted, but didn't chafe. A great length...it hit me right at the ankles and moved BEAUTIFULLY when I walked. I wore a sticky bra but there was really no need, the top feels very secure. Only annoying part was the hanging straps kept slipping out. Received a ton of compliments, and heard "Best Dressed" more than a few times. Fun, flirty, and versatile!

The fabric is so much prettier in person than it appears in the photos. It's a shimmering gold and ivory. The back is also super sexy and the cut of the dress was comfortable and flattering on my extreme hourglass shape. Cons are that I wish it had been just a hair shorter on me and after wearing it for four hours I noticed the straps were causing a little redness around my neck because, like other reviews have mentioned, they are a pretty tight. However, I'd wear the dress a million times over.

This is a gorgeous dress - much more gold than in photo. It fit well, I accidentally wore the 6 when I had intended to wear the 8. I didn't realize it until the next morning when I was packing it up. Still worked, the neck is tight and the straps are skinny and a little uncomfortable - but nothing intolerable. The dress was perfect for my event and received a lot of compliments including "you look like old hollywood glamour!"! This is a classy, feminine, elegant dress and fun to wear!

GOOD NEWS - This dress shocking It fits very similar to what is on the model... even though she is probably a size 00 and 5 foot 11. I am normally a size 0-2, 5ft 6, 117-120 lbs. I wore the 2. I felt like I was wearing a tent and it wasn't very pretty but the photos were a different story. This was a great dress if you ignore what you feel like. Take a picture of yourself before you go to your event. You'll know what I'm talking about. Looks great in photos. Glamorous. BAD NEWS - The neck is tight and digs a little bit. Maybe ordering a size up would help relieve the tight neck? I don't have any photos from day of - these are from the next morning. Backless bra optional.

I rented this dress for a work function. I must admit I was not thrilled with the dress when I received it BUT I was traveling and I did not bring another dress option so I had to wear this dress. I'm glad that I was the only one who didn't like it. People (men and women) kept telling me how beautiful I looked and said my dress was beautiful. I wore the size 0 dress, but preferred the fit of the size 2 on top (I'm a 32D), but the size 2 straps were not of equal length AND the waist portion was too big. When I received the dress I was not impressed with the material of the dress. However, it must have been just me because of the endless compliments I received. The dress flows nicely and photographs well. trflows nicely and photographs amazingly.

Fit was good. The straps are quite tight - bothered my neck by the end of the night. Got a ton of compliments - and Marilyn Monroe comparisons. :-)

This dress was flattering, forgiving and flowed beautifully when I waltzed. I got tons of compliments. I ended up not wearing a bra at all given the absence of a back.

At first I was skeptical as it seemed a little stiff, ran on the smaller side, and I usually don't wear anything sparkly. However, the details were subtle and perfect for the daytime event. I had so much fun dancing in it and received lots of compliments.

I'm very petite so finding gowns that are the right length can be a challenge. However this was a winner and would definitely recommend for elegant occasions :)

Loved, Loved, Loved this dress! I wore the 10R since the bust (36D) and waist were a bit snug with the 8R. The neck line was a little tight but a some adjusting fixed that. I didn't have any trouble with the material snagging as some have noted. It was so flowy and the strapped back & pleats made it even more elegant. The color was gold with a shimmer to it so it made for a gorgeous summer dress for a formal occasion. Rent this dress and you won't regret it, compliments all night!

There was only a size 0 left and I was super surprised that I fit into it! It's an empire waist dress and my hips are the larger part on me so that's probably why I was able to fit into it though I normally wear a 4-6. That being said, it was a bit snug but you couldn't really tell ;-) I wore this for a great Gatsby event and it was a hit! The dress is beautiful and the fabric is light so it moves around.

This dress was absolutely perfect! Fit was great, quality was outstanding, and the overall look was on point. The only comment I would make is that it was a little longer on me than I expected. If you are under 5'6'' just expect this to be more of a floor length dress.

The strings around the neck are a bit tight, but the positive about that is I didn't have to wear a bra. You can't really wear a bra anyway because the back is open.

You need to wear a sticky bra or no bra-- I have a B chest so did not wear a bra and it was fine. I am normally a size 6 or 8 and was nervous about fit because I am 4 months pregnant but the waist seam hit right above where I am showing which made it comfortable. I loved this dress. I am 5"11 and was surprised how long it was on me so be careful if you are shorter and expecting it to hit above the ankles, it might be full length!

The dress fit excellent and the gold color was beautiful. The straps around the neck were tight, so if you have a larger bust or ribcage, you may want to go up one size as your back up. I'm usually a 6 but went up to an 8 for the straps. The bottom had a lot of loose threads. I thought I trimmed them all before I left the house but noticed a few throughout the night.
