I also had an issue with the straps being just a little too long but it didn't ruin the dress for me at all. I also used fashion tape on my cleavage to prevent any unforeseen mishaps, since the ladies were out in full force. The dress hit just at my knees which really worked great with the overall shape of the dress and the high heels I chose. I can't wait to rent my next dress!

I usually am nervous about renting dresses because of the length, but this dress was the perfect length. It hit just an inch or two above my knees. I will say the waist was still a bit higher than my natural waist but it's hard to fix that unless I get a larger size. The material is very flattering, it has a textured pattern which I couldn't really tell from the pictures. I wore a sticky bra with it, you might be able to get away with a regular bra but I felt like I would be fidgeting with it all day and the fit of the dress kept my sticky bra in place. I would absolutely rent this dress again, I was sad to send it back

the dress was beautiful. Pictures don't do it justice. It fit great! I was originally wearing the size zero, but I was chaperoning prom and the dress showed a little two much cleavage so I went up to the two to wear something under to cover up that part. I would definitely rent this again!

I needed a dress to go to a religious banquet with my fiance's family and was looking for something fun and youthful but respectful for the occasion. This dress was a great fit! It really runs true to size, I couldn't believe how great it felt when I zipped it up. The V-neck is low enough to be flirty but not so low as to be inappropriate. I wore a black strapless bra with it and didn't have a problem. The straps were a bit too long for me so I occasionally had to put them back in place. The dress moved with me when I danced and didn't make me feel restricted at all. I got lots of compliments, people couldn't believe that it was rented! I will definitely be using RTR again soon.

I was so pleased with this dress. I am very tall so was worried that the skirt would be too short or the waist would be too high. Both were great! Plus it made my boobs look great! I was even able to go braless. It didn't dig in anywhere and the black color hid any possible sweat stains from a night of dancing. Plus the pockets were great for stashing lipstick and ID. I would absolutely rent this again. Such a classic, beautiful dress.

I wore this dress to a black-tie optional charity event. The dress was really comfortable and I loved the extra volume in the skirt portion as well as the pockets!! It was a little tighter in the chest area, but the material is thick so no need to wear a bra. The fabric is roomy from the upper-waist down so plenty of room if you are going to an event with food :)

Fit is perfect, and accentuates the waist. The straps were the perfect width to wear with a bra, however, I chose not to because I am a full C. Busty girls, this dress is a deep sweetheart so beware, the girls will show up! The length was perfect on me, because I am 5'10. For anyone much shorter than me, the dress may be too long/hit at an awkward place. No complaints on the dress (it even has pockets)!!! 5/5 stars!

I loved this dress - very flattering for curves (especially with a pushup bra to fill out the top!) and refined for a work event. It's hard to see in photos, but the dress has a raised floral pattern that is very feminine and pretty. I'm 5'2" and it came to my knees, so keep that in mind if you want something shorter.

Runs large through the rib cage. I would recommend measuring your bust and waist and ordering the size that matches those measurements not the size you normally wear. It is not fitted at all past the waist. The pockets are wonderful and so fun and the cut in the back adds a little something special. I would recommend getting stick-on cups to wear in the bodice if you want to wear a bra, the straps and back would need quite a bit of double sided tape with a regular bra.

The original dress I rented did NOT fit my body shape so RTR was kind enough to overnight me this Jill Jill Stewart dress and it was perfect!! It was fun yet classy enough for a formal wedding. And this dress is perfect for dancing all night!!

I ordered this dress for a movie premiere and needed to look good/classy as I was there representing my company. It's a very well made dress with thick quality material- perfect for an indoor/outdoor premiere and party. The only thing I would say is that since I am a little smaller chested my black bra kept peeping out but I would just pull the dress up a little and use my hair to cover the bra. Definitely runs true to size! Would rent again in a heartbeat! Got lots of compliments!

The fit with this dress is pretty true to size. I was able to wear a regular bra with it which is a huge plus seeing as I am a 36DD. The fit in the bust was a bit snug but nothing too uncomfortable. The length hit just above the knee which was perfect for a formal wedding. I got a ton of compliments and I felt beautiful in this dress. Sad to send back, definitely will rent again.

The dress was just gorgeous! The material was thick and the flower imprints were beautiful. I wish I got the dress sooner to have time to get a bra that would be a better fit. The straps were a bit lose and I felt that I had to adjust the dress a few times (bra straps were showing). It was a little bit more low cut than I expected but overall I was very pleased with this dress. I got lots of compliments on it too!

This dress is beautifully made. The fabric is a nice weight Jacquard. It is a poly blend and doesn't wrinkle. It is great for pear shaped girls like myself because of the fit and flare. It has pockets which was a big plus. I was able to wear a regular bra but I think a petite girl might have the bra peeking out at the back. However, the fabric is so sturdy that you could get away with no bra if that's an option for you. The cut of the skirt is unique and gives volume without looking too vintage. I say runs large but with dress sizes today who can say. I have worn sixes and zeros.

Basics: Read in the reviews it runs large, and so I ordered a 2, which I haven't worn in years. I'm normally a 4-6 in most dresses. It was a little tight around the bust, but the straps are great because i could push them a little off the shoulder and it didn't affect how the dress laid. And when I say tight, it wasn't uncomfortable or really hard to zip, and I could breathe just fine. Wore it as a bridesmaid, bc the bride wanted all the girls to choose their own very simple, knee-length, LBD. Received a ton of compliments because it was so flattering in the right places! The embroidery design and thicker material made it very forgiving, gave me the right amount of cleavage for confidence but not over-bearing, hid all my problem areas around the hips, and the pockets were perfect to carry tissues (who doesn't cry when their best friend gets married to the man of their dreams?!), my phone, and my lipstick. Would definitely rent again as a simple LBD.

This is a really gorgeous dress (plus it has pockets!) and my only gripe is the fit wasn't great on me. The straps were really loose and they kept falling down until I pinned them to my bra straps. The fabric is gorgeous thicker brocade, so I would recommend this for events in cooler months (my own mistake wearing this to a June wedding). I got compliments all night, especially on how good it made my cleavage look - ha!

Fit a little large, and the top area was most definitely too big. All in all a nice dress, great material and very comfortable...and it was pockets! This was worn by my sister who is 4'11" 115lbs 32B

I loved this dress! The silhouette is perfect, and I loved the pockets! I felt great and got a ton of compliments. As everyone said the straps were a little long and I couldn't wear a bra without it showing. Luckily the structure of the dress lets you wear it without a bra and double sided tape keeps the straps in place. I would definitely wear this again!

The dress has a subtle flower stitching in black on black which makes the black dress just a bit more appropriate for a spring wedding. I decided to "spring" up the dress even more with some bright colored accents in my jewelry and shoes. The dress flares out after the waist with a slight pouf giving you more of a flirty feel which was fun for dancing. (However watch how you stand in pictures to avoid looking larger than you are.) I'm sure you've seen it in other pictures but this dress is definitely cleavage bearing so if you're not okay with that, stay away. (I got a lot of compliments on how amazing my boobs looked, haha.) Hourglass girls - I could've sized down to an 8 in this dress to truly fit my waist but the 10 wasn't bad. I am disappointed that I didn't get a better picture of the dress so that you could see all of this for yourself!

Overall this dress fit great. The length was perfect and the details make a simple cut interesting. Plus the pockets came in handy. It was appropriate for a formal dinner with my boyfriend's family, but still fun enough for dancing afterwards. The only reason it's not a five star is that the straps are a little loose as mentioned in other reviews. They are also placed a little further apart in the back than the average bra. I ended up going braless because of this, however it was still comfortable and stayed in place all night.

I loved the weight and pattern to this dress. I also loved the scooped back and pockets. But the straps were much longer than my torso allowed, which made the front hang much lower than I would have liked for a work party. The 6 fit better in regards to this issue, but wouldn't zipper over my breasts. Overall, I felt very pretty but a little too va-va-voom for coworkers!

The straps on the 12 were too long, and the chest in the 10 a little snug (36DD). I'm 5'3" and the length hit about 4 or 5 inches below my knees. Overall, the top was really slimming and glamorous. The bottom was okay. The pockets were fantastic. My husband really liked the cleavage, but I'm glad I wore it for our theater night before renting it for a work Christmas party.

This was a great dress for a formal occasion. The pockets were a fun addition, and the slightly flared skirt gave the dress a bit of a "fun" edge. Overall the fit was great. the hem on one shoulder strap was coming apart slightly, so I just sowed it together with some black thread. The neckline definitely emphasizes "the girls" so if you're busty might not be the best pick...or it might be :) Overall a great dress that everyone complimented me on!

I loved the material as it was quite chilly out (35F and rainy). Loved the way the skirt flowed out and hit right at or below my knee making it more conservative even with the low neck. Speaking of the neck, WOW, looked great but I was worried all night that would fall out of it. My torso is short so the straps did not offer the support I had wished and I felt shruggy all evening trying not to let too much show. The fasteners in the straps helped a great deal with my bra strap but because of the loose fit, they showed a bit in the back. loved the pockets and the subtle pattern. I wore it with black patent heels with a little strap and pearls, also a sturdy grey peacoat. Overall the look was beautiful, although I will not be getting this dress again because of the misfit of torso and strap length. Love RTR! great service and I can't wait to get another dress!

I am smaller chested, so the dress straps were a little slouchy - but it served as a good reminder to stand up straight! The dress was incredibly comfortable, and I received tons of compliments on the beautiful, timeless look of the dress. I also rented stunning earrings for the look. It was a perfect experience! This dress is sure to bring many an envious eye!

I wore this to a Broadway show in NYC and felt so classy and sophisticated! It was slightly large, but not nearly enough to not wear. And good thing, because this dress is just lovely. I would absolutely rent it again. Plus, POCKETS!!! :-)

I was looking for something conservative to fit just below the knees and this was it. This dress was very comfortable and I loved the thick material (however, the dress was not heavy). My only complaint would be that the straps were a bit long as you can tell in the photo. Overall this dress was great and I did not want to return it.

I wore this to a gala event at which I was volunteering. It's formal but not over the top, so probably good for a more casual wedding or a cocktail party. It's definitely a bit tight in the rib cage, as some other reviewers have mentioned. I'm small chested so I was worried about it not fitting well on top but it was perfect and I could even wear a bra with it. I went strapless because I felt like the dress straps, while thick, would move around a lot, but you could probably get away with it. It's best suited to someone who is pear shaped because it's tight on top and obviously loose on the bottom.

The dress runs a bit big (I'm usually a 6, but wore the 4). It's low cut, but since I am small chested, it didn't make a big difference. I wore the dress with a fur mink and simple black heels. I saw some reviews that the straps fell down, but I wore a normal bra and used the built in clips to hold the straps...it stayed on perfectly. Loved the dress!

I LOVE THIS DRESS!!! it was the perfect length for me. I'm 6'1" so it's hard to find shirt dresses that are not REALLY short on me. This hit right about my knee. It was a little tight on my boobs so if I rented it again I might go a size up because I'm not a fan of lots of cleavage.
