I’ve rented Joe’s jeans before. I’m normally a 29-30, but 30 seems to be my golden comfort size across most brands. Haaaaaaaaaaaa. This size 30 fit like a Madewell 27 from some serious prior gym days that I can still squeeze myself into. IF I lay flat on my back. Flounce onto my bed and suck in with everything I’ve got, breathing out a quick prayer to the denim gods above. For details: I have a long torso, hourglass hips, Venus belly/post-3 babies mom pooch, and a somewhat decent backside. Granted, it was a new pair, tags still attached. Things loosened up the longer I wore them. They’re also short? Even at 5’7” I’ve some petite-length legs. These petites were a little too petite. Hit at an awkward angle right above my ankle. Great wash. Gave a fabulous backside. But these were standing jeans only. If I’d sized up 1-2x maybe I’d have had a more pleasant wearing experience.

These jeans somehow walk the line between a structured denim and a stretchy denim. I originally rented the size 27 which I fit in and could wear but they were tight. I swapped them for a size 28 which fit much more comfortably. They were tight in the waist and thigh and loose from the thigh down. I only wore them casually to the farmers market or coffee shop dressed down with Converse and a tee.

The seams on the sides of these jeans are super flattering. Love the color and cut. Just wish the waist was an inch bigger, my other 28 jeans aren’t that tight.

I'm normally either a 28 or 29. I ordered a 28. They arrived brand new with tags. Not even close to being able to button them. The waist is tiny. I will probably try renting again sometime in a size 30, because the fit and cut was very cute and perfect for my height.

Odd length. Too long to be cropped but not short enough to be full length. Would be better in a taller person.

Usually 24-25 and 26 was right. Rise too short / tight in crotch.

Size down if you are between sizes. The length was so perfect for my height, and the wide leg was great but I was so bummed about how tight the waist and hips were.

I have always worn Joe's size 27 but these were very tight around the waist, could not wear.

I usually wear a 27 and sized up to size 30 based on the reviews and even then they were a bit snug! I could get them buttoned and zipped but they were tight in the perpetual wedgie way and when I was sitting / wearing them out. The inseam is perfect for a petite but I’d get a 31 or 32 when renting next time.

Ordered my usual 27, think I'd need a 29. Very snug in the butt area (mine is semi-ample). Length and style are good, was able to put on and zip, but very tight - didn't even try to break in / stretch out. They are 100% cotton so in theory would loosen up a bit.

I’m a reliable 29 in Citizens denim and a 29/30 in this brand. I rented a 31 in these to be safe and I could barely zip them. I really like the style, so I‘ll try renting these again in a 32.

Seems like they hit the sizing wrong. That’s how small they felt.

As soon as I pulled them out of the bag, I knew there was no way those were getting on my body! RTR recommended a 24, I ordered a 25, and I probably need to go up to a 27 to get these on. They looked like Barbie clothes. The cut looks like it would be cute, but the sizing is ridiculous and really needs to be adjusted.
