Loved this dress so much that I bought it. Great price! I wore it several times as a cute bathing suit cover up while on vacation and it washed well. Very fun to wear. Loose fitting yet flattering. Will need some undershorts if I wear it as a dress because it is pretty short in places, though not in the overall look.

I rented this for a "day date" with my husband. I live in SoCal, so I thought the beachy look would be perfect. Of course it ended up raining, and this dress just does not work with a jacket or sweater, so I didn't wear it. The layers are longer in front with the sides of your upper thighs showing, making it look like there are slits on the sides. Great for a day drinking margaritas on the beach! Not so great for everyday wear.

I love this dress so much I bought it! I wore it to a dinner and after concert with super high Schultz heels. It is perfect for the South. It's flowy, but short in some places so it certainly doesn't fit like a moo-moo dress. I received several compliments. I plan to wear this out several times.

I rented this dress for my vacation and I only intended to wear it on the beach over my swimsuit! Based on previous reviews, it does run large and I wish that it didn't because it's so comfortable and I understand why others can wear it as a dress on a nice hot summer day. In my case, I ordered the smallest size and it works great on the beach! So easy to wear, big and loose and comfortable. I think I practically wore it everyday of my vacation. I had brought other swimsuit cover-ups but honestly I couldn't be bothered with them because they're tighter or more of a hassle to get in and out of. When this dress goes on sale there's a really good chance I will buy it just because it's so damn comfortable on the beach! The material is not crazy lightweight, it isn't transparent, so it doesn't look like a beach dress (except for the loose factor), it just feels like one and I love that. Because then I could wear it over my swimsuit and go and have lunch in a restaurant without being super exposed the way most swimsuit cover-ups do. If it ran true to size or just a big smaller I would definitely consider wearing this dress for the rest of my life.

I wore this to ACL music festival and it was perfect. Super comfy, flowy and cute. The material is versatile so it could be worn into the fall as it was a little heavier material which worked out great for this fest in October. I'll rent this one again...or maybe even buy it

This was my second try at a birthday dress as I am 6 months pregnant with a pretty big bump for this stage. The first dress I rented had an under layer that was too fitted. This was great, very flowy and perfect for Sumer night. The shorter parts of the hem are pretty short with the pregnant belly raising them a little higher then they should be but the long parts of the hem make up for it and overall the fit is good! I would definitely recommend if you are mostly in maternity clothes but want to take a chance on a non maternity dress-it's nice alternative!

This dress was absolutely amazing! I loved how it moved in the wind (but also beware that if it's a really windy day you're going to have to constantly hold the dress down haha!). Being that I am an extra small in everything it was great to see that this dress fit exactly as expected. I got many compliments from strangers saying it was a beautiful dress and I definitely would rent again!

This was perfect for vacation-- a great cover-up for the beach, and worked for resort dinner with some jewelry. It is not form fitting, so other than the cleavage I could have been 10 lbs up or down--in other words, a bit of a sack, but it moves really well and I got compliments even though I could have been pregnant and no one would have known. I am glad I got a small--at 5"4 and narrower on top, I would have drowned in anything bigger.

This dress did double duty -- I wore a jacket over it for work, and then removed the jacket later for a concert and birthday celebration. I got a lot of compliments on both contexts. The hem moves a lot as you walk, and may fly up in windy weather. The sides can be quite short as they move - would definitely be more careful if I were taller. But this dress is awesome and I will definitely rent it again.

J.O.A. always know how to make a great dress that is truly effortless. Even though this dress is striped, it really goes back to anything. I wore this back to leopard mules, which was a fun way to mix and match. There's plenty of room in the bust, but I would recommend wearing with a strapless bra since it has spaghetti straps. I love how the skirt is asymmetrical which makes for a flirty silhouette, but make sure to note the shortest part in the center hitting mid thigh.

I really loved the comfort and ease of wear of this sundress. It will work well as cover as well as long as it's not humid or super hot outside. Uneven length made it look very interesting and I got many complements. The material is thicker than the typical sundress/coverup dress which gave the dress expensive look. I gave 4 star only because it made me look very big. I rented XS but it was still a lot of fabric. That being said I'd probably rent it again on my next beach vacation because it was super comfortable.

I wore this to the Jersey Shore for a weekend trip with my sister. It's very lightweight and definitely blows up if there's any wind. As others noted, this is navy, not black. Considering buying it because I could see it being a go-to for really hot days or beach days.

Very comfortable dress. I usually wear a small but they only had a medium. Seems to run a little big as its not suppose to be form fitting. Didn't need to wear a bra with it but, you can definitely wear a strapless bra if need be. Also would be cute with a skinny belt.

The dress is really flowy and with a belt, I didn't feel frumpy. I also wore an adhesive bra which worked well. The dress does run large and I could have probably gotten away with an XS, however, I wonder if the length would have been an issue. I am short (5'1) and it came to mid thigh on the sides of the dress. This wasn't an issue when I was walking, but I did have to hold it down a lot to avoid flashing people when the wind blew!

Fit was great. It is very flowy and comfortable. I felt very stylish and received several compliments. If I was going to be outside a lot I would have worried a little bit about a strong gust of wind though!

Super comfortable and flattering. Bottom is very "swingy" and extra fabric covers how short the dress actually is. Thought I would wear as a beach coverup. I have, AND worn as a cute dress to run errands. Love love love. Hides post baby body with ease.

I wore this to brunch on an unusually warm day in April, and it was perfect. I wore it loose, but also tried it with a belt which was flattering. Beware of sudden breezes though! Due to the handkerchief style, the entire skirt billows up in stronger winds.

Fit was loose, so it was super comfortable, yet still very flattering on! I could wear it all day long with my cute black reef flip flops!

You can dress it up with chic sandals and jewelry, or wear it to a pool party over your swim suit. I loved it so much I bought it.
