Weighted but not too heavy. I can only wear gold-plated earrings and I could wear these. Which means they were honestly at least 10k gold-plated. Beautiful statement piece.

So lucky to have found these earrings!! Loved the long gold "spikey" elements with the gems. They were stunning. I paired with the Trina Tunk Oaho Fan dress.

These earrings were perfect! Lightweight, glamorous, and it absolutely paired well with my violet dress. It also matched perfectly with kenneth jay lane gold leaf cuff. Loved them, and I'd totally rent them again!

The fit was great as I wanted statement earrings for my "something borrowed." They were lighter than expected. I wore them all night from 3PM - 2 AM and they didn't hurt or pull on my ears at all.

I. Love. These! I don't wear earrings. Ever, really. So when I showed up in THESE, everyone was shocked. The original earrings that I had chosen to rent were returned damaged by the user before me, so to my advantage, I was allowed to choose any accessory I wanted to replace them, regardless of cost. These were a MAJOR upgrade, and totally not my typical style, but like I said, I loved them. These didn't feel too heavy, despite their size. I feel like sometimes larger earrings pull at your earlobe and look awkward, but these didn't do that at all. They were comfortable, stayed snugly in place throughout my event, and had just enough sparkle to catch your eye without being gaudy or obnoxious. I wore these to a wedding, and would definitely rent them again.

Full disclosure: I brought these earrings to work with the full intention of putting them on for my anniversary dinner with my husband...and yet forgot until AFTER I came home and was rummaging through my bag. So I only put them on for the purpose of taking the picture. Therefore unfortunately I can't say much about how heavy they'll be throughout an entire evening. I will note they felt lighter than I expected given their size, and for the brief moments I wore them were certainly comfortable. My apologies - I know lots of earrings feel great for the first five minutes and then an hour later your earlobes feel as if they're dragging on the ground!

If they didn't retail for $400, I would own these and wear them all the time. I never would have picked these out for myself because they are so large, but I got them in the stylist surprise thing, and they were awesome. They went perfectly with my dress and I felt awesome.

If you want to add a statement piece to a simple dress, these are great earrings. They are big and blingy, but without being heavy or tacky. I wore my hair up with a relatively plain but formal dress and I got tons of complements. They really make an impact and seem vaguely retro. I paired these with other gold accessories (handbag, shoes), but you don't need much, since these have so much personality. I would normally never have picked these out myself, but they were recommended to me by RTR staff and were perfect. And I wore them all night and never once felt like they were heavy or uncomfortable. To be so large, they are amazingly lightweight.

I paired these earrings with the Rodrigo Otazu Insanely Crystal Cuff. I wore them with the Black Albert Ferretti Love Lockdown Gown to a black-tie event. Many woman young and old used the word "stunning" to describe the jewelery. I highly recommend these earrings for a formal affair where you want to stand out from the other LBD's in the crowd.

The picture above does not do these crystal earrings justice, especially in the way they shine and glimmer. You can absolutely tell that they are of high quality and design.

So these earring were actually a style surprise and they worked really well with the dress I rented. They're super versatile, but plan on them being large. They definitely don't need a necklace as they're a stand-alone piece.

These were very pretty and added a nice touch to a black gown. I don't think they're the kind of statement piece you would design an outfit around--pretty but not spectacular.

I got this to accompany a RTR dress. It was a good match, but weighed heavily on my earlobes.
