Formal dress that was form fitting but not too tight overall. The slit on the side did make the dress feel way shorter when i was sitting down. But it make me feel skinner and i loved it overall.

This dress fit true to size. I am pear shaped. I ordered the 10 and the 12, both fit fine but I wore the 10 because it accentuated my waist a bit more than the other. I bought a black shapewear slip to wear under it and I'm so glad I did. The slit in the dress was cut very high and i thought it was too revealing while sitting. Standing and dancing were very comfortable.

This dress fit incredibly! I felt so beautiful in it. It was very form fitting, but was still comfortable enough to dance in. The cut of the dress makes it edgy and unique, but still appropriate enough to wear at almost any event. The only draw back to this dress was the collar on the neck was a little uncomfortable when sitting, but it wasn't too bad. I would definitely rent this dress again!

This dress was Amazing!!! I got so many compliments on how elegant i looked in it. I don't usually wear my shoulders or back out, but this was modest enough for me. I did have to wear lots of body shaper wear and a strapless bra (also new for me). Overall I felt so beautiful it and had a great time at the event.

Ruffles aren't quite as nice but nicely cute. The slit makes it very sexy. The black hides any lumps or bumps . and the length keeps it classy. No bra needed

Fitted up top, comfortable with room in the waist- split made it easy to walk in and it was appropriate at my height. But it will make your shoulders appear wider if you do have broad shoulders. The arm holes were a little snug on my athletic frame

I rented this dress for an event in Vegas. Wanted something classy with a little bit of edge. This dress delivered. As I was walking through the casino, I heard multiple females whispering about how great the dress was. Score! Ha ha. I love the sleeves. They are basically cuffs that go around your wrists. The fabric is a very nice weight that makes the dress look like a quality piece. I would love to wear this dress again. I think it would have looked better with skinny, strappy heels.

I love Jay Godfrey. I actually wore the 8 and I'm closer to a 10 so size down for your backup. It was form fitting but not skin tight. I wore to dinner and then dancing and had no issues moving all night. It's a great alternative to a plain black dress!

Loved this dress, the fabric was super comfortable - had the perfect amount of stretch to it . Form fitting, but the length makes it feel conservative with a just the right amount of sexy from the slit. The ruffle on the sleeves made it fun! Would definitely recommend.

I felt drawn to this dress so I took a gamble and choose it as my second choice, and I'm so glad I did! It is quite striking in person, photographs do not do it justice at all. The fabric and construction are beautiful! What makes this dress stand out in a crowd are the sleeves and the back- you'll need minimal jewelry. Recommend a strapless bra, or none at all- see the photo of the back. The dress itself is a sheath, so it does accentuate the tummy area, but I would say that the fit is true to size and fit well on my curvy frame. There is a bit of stretch in the fabric, so I found the sizing pretty forgiving. I would highly recommend this dress! Received many compliments throughout the night, and it was extremely comfortable to wear through many hours of sitting, eating and dancing. Love love loved it!

Overall fit was great but if you are a woman that has a curvier bottom than most, you might want to try a size up. But overall I really loved this dress and I received complements the whole night!!!

I selected this dress because of the unique design. I was a little concerned about the sleeves, but I didn't mind them throughout the night. The material is very comfortable, except it is a little tight around the neck depending on the size you wear. I went with the smaller size, so the dress would be form-fitted. The slit gives this elegant dress a sassy flare, without being too provocative or revealing.

I loved this dress- the sleeves were beautiful and the back and side slit made it ultra-sexy. I gave it 4/5 stars because the clasp on the back came undone dozens of times. For that reason I wouldn't rent it again, but it surely was a show stopper!

Dress fit very well. After my last baby I have been mostly a 4, but felt better in the size 2 for this dress. It is very tight in the mid-section and won't hide much. I also did not like the sleeves. They were too short and I thought the ruffle was pretty but it looked awkward when you moved your arm. Overall I got a lot of compliments and would rent again. You can dress this up or down.

The cutouts in the sleeve made my arms look bigger than they are and the dress was fitted in an unflattering way. I wore another dress that looked much better on me.

Really cute style- the back detailing is adorable. This was a but long on me, but I was able to fix easily with hem tape. The occasion I rented for turned out to be more casual than j thought so I wore something else, but would definitely rent again. Great for a work occasion as well, as the cut is fairly conservative and the material is heavy, but it is still fun and interesting!

Perfect mix of sophisticated and sexy. The slit is very high, so be cognizant of that. We went to a very nice dinner and then post rooftop drinks with friends and the dress was perfect for both venues. Very comfortable and a fun take on LBD.

This fabric has a little stretch in it, but unfortunately it was just slightly too small to fit me properly at my regular size. If you're in between sizes, sizing up is probably the best bet. It is really flattering on the body, the fabric is thick and it's cut really well.

I picked this dress as the perfect hybrid of a statement dress and a little black dress. When it arrived though, the sleeves were too short for me at 6 foot. They ended not quite three quarters which made it look sloppy, and I didn't end up wearing it. Probably perfect for a shorter person.
