Fit: The dress fit well and I would have been able to fit the six if it was not for my little gut and big booty. Pros: Very flattering and durable. I spilled a small bit of grease on the dress, but I used a napkin to dap it and the grease stain disappeared. Also the dress is breathable while accentuating your curves fellow hourglass bodies. Cons: The opening for the dress where the shoulders were are a bit loose, but the sample of dress tape helped me with the problem. Also the tag kept hanging out, the dress taped helped that too! So I guess I really don't have any cons. Etc:I was in New York partying at Green House with the dress and received many compliments. This experience has definitely made me into a long-term customer... I am just wanting to hear about more events so I can rent another item!!! Thank you Rent The Runway!

This is my first rental and I was a little nervous about the fit. However, an online chat with a fit specialist made me feel at ease. My husband surprised me with a "Go for it! I will get it for you!" response and decided to take the plunge. It was an out-of-town wedding weekend so I decided to have it shipped directly to the hotel we were staying at. Upon check-in, the lady at the front desk cheerfully told my husband "We have a package for you!" As soon as we reached the room, I opened the box and I was really impressed on how much love and care was put into the packaging. And then I fell in love with how rich and lush the fabric was. It was a deep, saturated plum. The picture on the website does not do it any justice! It was just gorgeous. I got both a size 8 and 10. The dress has no stretch so I was a little concerned. I tried on the 8 and it fit my upper body perfectly. The hips, however were a little snug. I tried on the 10. It was perfect on the hips but definitely loose on my chest area. However, the garments came with a fashion tape and it fixed that problem instantly. I felt really beautiful on that dress. I was blushing on all the compliments I received that evening. My husband kept telling me how beautiful I looked. I am so glad he encouraged me to rent it.

I ordered a size 8, with a size 6 as my back up size. I ended up wearing my back up size, which felt amazing! The color of the dress was so much richer than what the picture showed, and the quality was amazing. The entire presentation was beautiful, and shipping back was so easy. Thanks for a fantastic experience, I will definitely be using RTR again!!

I wore this to a holiday party. Paired it with opaque tights and boots. Cute and comfy. Quality body smoothing under garments are essential. Fabic is not forgiving.

As u as I walked into the event, a luxury magazine editor grabbed me for a photo and whispered "fabulous dress" under her breath. At the end of the evening, my husband asked, "Why were we pulled into so many photos tonight?" Ummmm...because you have a super-hot wife? (Not what I said) "Because of this amazing dress...it was the pop of color they needed to brighten the photo because most women were wearing black." Accessorized with Badgley Mischka Art Deco cuff, which was way out of the normal scale for me, but perfect. Alexis Bittar Gold Pave teardrop earrings completed the perfection. The ease of wearing it (it's generous, although pretty true to size) made the evening fun.

Fits really well, really soft and silky, a little tight around my midsection since I have a bit of a belly, but very flattering non the less. The drapes over the shoulder look beautiful dancing and give you a chance to hide any bumps. Loved it!

The fit was amazing. The fabric is very thin, so I did wear some spanx shorts both for warmth and to hold everything in. I have red hair and was worried about the color, but it looked great.

Perfect for every occasion. I would love to buy this dress and keep it to wear on a Friday night out with the girls, dates, everything! It's basically your little black dress only more fun and with a little more pizazz

I ordered this dress in an 8 and 10. I was a bit concerned by their appearance on the hanger, but I needn't have worried. The 8 was a touch too tight in the hip area, but the 10 fit great. I paired it with black opaque tights and received tons of compliments all night long. The colors are amazing! Thanks RTR!

This dress is super comfortable and easy to wear. It's short and sexy and very eye catching. I wore it with silver strappy heels and heavy silver/black bracelets and it was perfect for our anniversary date. I wore a strapless bra under it. It definitely runs big. I usually wear a size 6, sometimes size 4 at places at like Ann Taylor, and I probably could have used a size 2 in this dress. But it's drapey, so the 4 was fine.

Gorgeous dress! Well made, brilliant colors, and fabric that looks and feels like high fashion. If you have narrow hips order regular size and size down. I went with the smaller size. Also get fashion tape. Any strapless dress could use it! Love this dress!

This dress fit so perfectly! It was comfortable, and I received so many complements!

This is a GREAT dress! The neckline really shows off your shoulders and is very eye catching. I wore it to a wedding and got thousands of compliments. The dress does run big so order a size smaller than your regular size.

Wore this for a semi-formal NYE dance, and really stood out in a crowd of black dresses. Great for showing off my legs, but I couldn't tell from the photos that the "sleeve" is actually attached to the body of the dress, so I wasn't able to do any real dancing until I went back to the room and switched to my late-night outfit. I don't expect many will be worried about their ability to partner dance in this, but I figured I'd point it out, just in case. Fit was as expected for a nice sheath shape. I did not wear a bra and just secured with the included fashion tape, but I suspect a strapless would work.

The dress was much smaller around the bottom than I had expected. Didn't fit my pear-shaped body.

Comfortable and pretty on. And the sleeve didn't get in the ways as much as I would afraid of.

Wore this to a friend's birthday cocktail/dinner party celebration. Received many compliments, I liked it a lot. Loses one star as wrinkles quite a bit if one is sitting. So is was fabulous for standing up cocktails and chatting and I would highly recommend. But it was very wrinkled after seated dinner, so less attractive for the after party. Note it does run large, and I wore the smaller size.

I am a pear shape, usually size 4 on top and size 6 on bottom, so went with the bigger size in this dress, but it was just too form fitting for my liking, it highlighted my hips/thigh area more than I like, so I ended up wearing the back up style I rented. It is a very pretty dress though, the colors are great, and would look good on ladies with smaller hips and thighs.

Just hung on me. Little to no shape.
