Skims your curves, not tight. Easy to casually dance in. No crazy moves. The top was too big, but i tried my best with push up nubra. C cup and above would be better for this dress. Super sexy, you will definitley stand out in this one.

Great dress ... The cut outs are bigger than they seem and bras show from the bottoms. RTR only sent me a 10R when I'm usually an 8R, I feel like the 8R would have fit better.

This dress honestly made my butt look like Kim Kardashian's and it was fantastic. The cut outs are a little bit larger in person than on the picture but it allows the dress to move around and gives your body a feminine shape. This dress is definitely an eye catcher and I received tons of compliments throughout the night. The inside of the dress is super silky too, so it was incredibly comfortable and I was even able to wear a strapless bra wit it.

I rented this dress in an 8L with a 6L for backup, thankfully! When I tried on the 8L, the hips fit, but the bust and waist were big. You can't really wear a strapless bra with this, so you want the top to fit snug. I reluctantly tried on the 6L, and to my surprise, it fit like a glove! the hips were not too snug at all. The skirt is more fitted on me than on the model online, but I am very curvy and muscular. Overall, this dress was perfection. I received a ton of compliments and felt like a movie star all night. I kept the jewelry, hair and makeup simple as not to distract from the dress. Shoes were simple black strappy 4" sandals. The dress came to ankle length on me, so it showed off my shoes well. Small black clutch. PERFECTION!

I wore this as a date to my friend's formal Army Ball. It was beautiful. The fabric is a bit stretchy, so it's very comfortable to move around in as well as sit in. It was a bit large in the chest area, but did not bother me. Being so tall, I was beyond excited that it reached the floor (I wore flats too). I received so many compliments on this dress and had a great time wearing it.

I loved my dress!! I am normally a size zero, but it was unavailable, however I am glad I had the 2R as it is tighter around the hips than I expected. It was nearly a perfect fit for me, since my hips are fairly wide! Just a bit big in the bust, which I expected having a size up. The slits on the sides are definitely larger than in the photo, but I did not mind, actually liked better. Just depends what you're going for! I am 5'9" and the length of the dress was PERFECT with flats, which is what I wanted. So if you are taller like me, and plan on wearing heels, keep in mind the dress may look a bit short.

Received so many compliments on the dress! It was helpful to look through the reviews prior. The top is a bit bigger and the midsize was just slightly more snug. Length was perfect heels and my height. The cut out slits do show a bit more skin then the model! I was a little concerned but with the right undergarments and slight pull up on the bottom half of the slit-think it looked great!

I ordered two sizes, 4L and 6L and went with the 4L. The length was perfect! The bust and hip area were a little big though. I had to wear one of those sticky bras because even a strapless would show. I do wish I would've gone a size down though. I think a 2L would've been perfect. Besides that, I loved the dress and felt very glamorous in it! I was nervous that the side panels would be too revealing for a wedding, especially the ceremony in the church. I probably should've brought a shawl for the ceremony but I don't think it was too bad!

I did not end up wearing the dress, even though I really liked the cut. The hips of the 10R were tight on me - my hips are one to two sizes larger than my torso/chest. Because the fabric was thick and stretchy, I could have gotten away with it, but my backup dress fit better and was also lovely so I wore that instead. The cut of the dress is sleek and elegant. The fabric and lining are thick and heavy which makes undergarments easy. However, a strapless bra might show on the sides, so it might be wise to have some kind of stick-on arrangement at the ready. The side cutouts did appear a bit larger in person than on the model. Also, the seaming weirdly made it look exactly like my nipples were showing, but I think this was because I had a lot of room in the top of the dress. Probably would not be a problem for someone with a fuller chest.

I wore this to a company event, and loved it! Received many compliments, and felt sexy and elegant at the same time. I apologize for the bad photo, I did not get any good ones of myself in it! For fit, I say true to size because overall it was really great (does not look so on the model but very form fitting, hugged my hips and butt well), BUT, the bust was too large even with a bra, which continuously poked out from the bottom of the cut outs. The dress has darts which made me look like I was not wearing one at all, but I had to in order to fill it out (I have a small bust, so others may not have that problem). This made the waist a little big on me too, but that would be my only complaint. The length was perfect, showed a little toe and covered the back of my feet completely (I wore 4" heels) and the material was comfortable and light. I was able to dance all night and impress co-workers and customers alike! Thoroughly happy with my experience and will definitely be renting again.

The bottom half fit perfect! However, the top fit too large. I do not have a bit bust but it seemed the top half was a completely different size than the bottom. I had an extra few centimeters on the sides of the top. Also, there is a weird seam around the bust area making it look pointy in the nipple area. I did love the way this dress felt and looked besides for the top area.

Loved, loved, loved this dress! I rented it for two back to back black tie events on two weekends. I went with the 8 day rental. RTR was awesome and sent it to me a day ahead of schedule. The reviews were very helpful. I have wider hips and so I needed the 6. I had to pin the top so my boobs would stay in. The dress has a little stretch. It was super comfortable and great for dancing. I got so many compliments!

This dress was such a hit!!! It's sexy without being slutty, and super flattering on athletic builds. I received so many compliments it was ridiculous and I wish I owned the dress. It definitely runs big-particularly in the chest as other reviews have mentioned. The Jay Godfrey size chart measurements put me into a 10, but I wore the 8 and had room to spare. My chest is a 32DDD and measures about 37-38 inches, but I needed to use fashion tape to stay covered. The size 6 probably would have been perfect! Regular length was great on my 5'4" body with 3.5-4" heels. RENT THIS DRESS, it was comfortable, didn't wrinkle easily (so great for traveling!) and I felt like a super model wearing it.

Loved this dress - wore it for a formal wedding and it was a standout because of the unique cut. The cutouts and one strap make it different from a normal black gown. Love Jay Godfrey's body-fitting style.

I received so many complements on this dress! It's simple, classy, and the cutouts give it a little something extra. It's hard to find a dress that's long enough when you're 6'0", it's even harder to find one you can wear with heels. Well I could do both with this dress. It's stretchy enough to fit snug to your body and give you some curves but not too restrictive where you feel like you can't move around. If you're comfortable wearing a form fitting dress, definitely order your typical dress size. My backup 8L fit nicely, however it was looser around my stomach and hips and I liked the tighter look. I would definitely suggest investing in a sticky bra, the top of the cutouts came up higher on me, a normal strapless bra would have stuck out. Overall an amazing dress! I didn't want to send it back!

This was a back-up dress since the original dress I wanted to wear didn't fit. They were out of the 4R, so I got the 4L and it touched the floor with my 3 inch heels....it was fine though. They shipped the 6R too, but I felt like the 4 was a better fit because of the openings on the sides. I'm 5'5 and 130 lbs, and I thought this was very flattering. I got at least 10 compliments on it, and it was very comfortable. The openings are bigger than pictures let on, so if you don't mind showing some skin, go for it! It's a stretchy material and true to size. I didn't need a bra either!

The dress fit really well. Wore it to a formal dance and was perfect for the occasion. It was super elegant and it was comfortable all night. The only con was I had to send it back! I loved it. I wore a 4R. Could have gone to a 2R but 4R fit too.

I have a really hard time finding dresses that fit my size 0-2, 5'3, body with a 34dd bust. This dress fit me perfectly. I felt like it had enough flair and sexy, to stand out but not so much that I was worried my large bust was being obnoxiously displayed. I absolutely love the dress!

First, the RTR customer service is incredible! The original dress I ordered did not fit well and was pretty wrinkled at the bottom of the dress. I called RTR, they told me to pick another dress that could be delivered the next day (the day of my event) and it would be there before noon. It was delivered by 845 a.m. and fit PERFECTLY! This dress is classy, edgy, and extremely well made. I received tons of compliments all night and felt amazing! Highly recommend!

This dress was amazing, I loved wearing it! I wore this to a black tie New Year's Eve wedding and received so many compliments. I'm 5'1 and usually don't wear full length dresses, but this one fit pretty well! I had to wear tall heels, but the length was fine with the heel addition. The 2 was a pretty perfect fit, the dress is pretty form fitting, but I felt very comfortable in it! Ultimately a very classy dress that I would definitely rent again.

I found the dress to be true to size. I have wider hips so it was a little tight around the hips but the 4 fit much better than the 6. The upper strap is a little too small to cover a bra so I wore a black strapless and you couldn't tell the difference.

I love this dress - it's elegant & still sexy with the side cutouts . But unfortunately it's runs large (& long!) and I wasn't able to wear it to the event. I normally wear dress size 0 or 2 and both of those sizes were too big in this dress. This dress is great for tall, curvy body types. Definitely size down!

I loved this dress! I am a pear shape, very small on too with larger hips. I went with the 4 because the 6 was baggy up top and I didn't feel much of a difference in the hips. The material is thick enough to smooth out your curves and not show cellulite.

This is such a sleek and modern formal gown! The cutouts, while larger than expected, bared the perfect amount of skin for a subtly revealing look. It was very true to size and since it had some stretch, it was very comfortable as well. At 5'7 it did run a little short on me so ladies who are 5'7 and above, be sure to rent the long length!

The dress was more form-fitting than expected and the cut-outs were way bigger than they looked in the picture. That being said, I got plenty of compliments and felt great after I got over the feeling of being exposed & naked.

Get the long! I am 5'4" and in heels it was about 3-4" above the floor. Rented this for a black and white ball and got compliments all night. The material is thick and luxurious. I did feel somewhat uncomfortable when sitting because the area around the cutouts was tight. Might be a good idea to get the next size up.

The dress did not exactly fit me. It was a little big on the sides and the chest area. However, using double sided tape made those areas of the dress appear completely fitted. The length as well was an issue as I tripped over it a couple of times. Other than that, I felt amazing in this dress. The cut outs on the sides and the open back really give the dress it's chicness.

This dress was actually my emergency dress! I was so thrilled with how the dress fit, although I am short and this dress was a 2L, I was able to pull it off with my sky high heels. This dress is comfortable, classy and just a teensy bit sexy. This dress was worn to a benefit event, and it was more than appropriate.

I loved the style of this dress the only downside was that I'm a 32DDD and I could not wear a strapless bra with this dress because the cut-out on the side goes too high. Other than that my normal size fit perfectly.

Flattering and true to size and the regular length was perfect with 3.5-4" heels (I'm like 5'6"). The bra situation is tricky - all my strapless bras were too big to wear under it without showing either in the slits or at the top. I ended up wearing a sticky backless bra and that was better. The only other annoyance was the hanger strings kept popping out either at the top or in the slits. Other than that super comfortable and easy to move/dance in.

I really liked this dress! I wore the dress with flats and it hit the floor perfectly. In the picture of the model I thought this would be the type of dress that fit at my waste and kind of flared out from there, but oh no, it was tight all the way to about my knees. I ended up having to go to my back up size just to get it over my butt and then it was a little too big in the waste. I was worried about my boobs popping out, but I wore sticky boobs easily under this dress.

Rented this for my daughter's winter ball. The dress fit great. She usually wears a size 4 in most clothes but she wore the 2L in this dress. She is 5'7". Worked out well with the 3 1/2 in heels. She looked beautiful. Only con was that a strapless bra is too much underneath it. The sticky bra we bought (not from RTR) did not stick. She managed. The dress is beautiful and she got many compliments.

Great fit in the body of the dress. I'm a true size 4 and it fit great. I am short (5ft2in) so the dress was long. I wore 4 inch heels and it still dragged a little.
