I am usually a 6 but the 4 fit much better

Was loose in a chest; other wise nice casually( or not) summer dress

I rented this for my baby shower and it was lovely. It's a bit low in the chest, but I pinned the straps and it fit perfectly. The size smaller wouldn't have fit my chest so definitely runs true to size if not small.

The fit of this dress was perfect. It was true to size and worked well with a growing bump! I didn't love that I couldn't wear a normal bra, but it worked well with a strapless bra. I enjoyed that the keyhole at the neckline could be worn closed or open depending on your style. I also liked that I could easily wear it with a different topper. The colors are fun and beautiful and seemed to really fit my style.

I'm a high school teacher. I wore this for the last day of school pictures. Can't repeat a last day of school outfit!

Unfortunately it was a bit chilly so I had to wear a cardi, but otherwise the dress was idea for wine tasting - and later in the evening - Hamilton!

Dress does run large, and I would go to a 4 if I ordered again just to see the fit. Great dress for summer and vacations. Wore to dinner and really enjoyed it! Something extra!

I was 30 weeks pregnant at my sister's baby shower. Dress worked well. Comfortable.

Omg I love this dress! Pre pregnancy I was a 6/8 and reading reviews I decided to order those exact sizes. I was 32 weeks pregnant when I wore this. I felt like the 6 for best. The 8 was a little too baggy for me under the arms. The top can be worn as a key hole like most photos show or as a deep v. I decided to go for the key hole. One down side is there isn't really a way to wear a bra with this dress. I used cups that I held in place with double side "Hollywood" tape. Seriously, I wish I could just keep this dress

Loved this dress! beautiful neckline, super comfortable. A little on the long side, I'm 5'4", and it was a tad still large in the armpits. I wore pasties and was very cognizant of when I moved, so as not to flash anyone. Wish I could have kept this one for sure! I wore it all day long, even to 2 little league baseball games.

The perfect summer maxi. I love the ease and patterns on this maxi. There is a hook closure at the front giving you the option to wear it open or closed.

A bit short as well

I wish I'd listened to their reviewers when they said this ran large. The cut is flowy to begin with, but it also runs a size (or two, honestly) big, which takes it from "flowy" to sack-like pretty quickly. I originally got the 12, but the armholes came down to the middle of my torso and the dress dragged the ground (and I'm 5'9). I swapped it for a 10, which fit way better.

This is the season of maxis and I'm trying all of them! This one is beautiful but runs big. Definitely size down! There are high slits on each side that makes it easy to walk. The colors are vibrant. I'm 5'4" and needed to wear heels because of the length. Worth trying!!

This dress was sent as a replacement when my original dress wasn't available. While I thought the dress was pretty and the material was beautiful and lightweight, it wasn't really my style. It definitely runs big - I'm normally an 8, wore the 6 and could probably have fit in the 4. It's nice that you have the option to keep the front open or clasp it closed for two different looks. I would recommend for a summer maxi if the print and neckline is your style. The slits on the side are definitely fun!

Great pattern...lots of compliments! It fit relatively well, but was a bit large on top. It was a great length for someone who is tall too. I would rent it again in the next size down.

Got this late so didn't wear to event but I did end up liking fabric, color and side slits. I thought ran a bit big had to use fashion tape to avoid side boob.

This is a great party dress but order a size down. I am between a 2 and a 4 but the 2 was huge on me.

Runs very large! Could not wear the 4 as it was baggy at the top, the 2 fit much better. LOVED the colors, and the side slit. Those with a larger bust should not size down, but understand it will be a billowy fit with the empire waist.

This dress runs a little large. The 4 was a little big so I had to pin up the back. There are two slits on each side towards the bottom of the dress. This was a surprise since you can't tell by the pictures of the dress. Otherwise it is a beautiful dress and very comfortable. I received many compliments.

Normally I’m a 12 (I’m very busty) I got the 10… it fits great. So definitely size down.

Super cute pattern and great material. I am large chested and had to wear a tank top under because it gapped in chest area. I would consider sizing down.

I am usually on the bigger end of size 8 or go up to a 10. Since I saw reviews it runs large, I thought an 8 would work but it felt 2 sizes too big particularly for my chest which is a 34D. The fabric also felt fragile. The pattern is really cute though!

Very cute maxi dress that really nicely fit over my 7 month bump! Definitely runs large but was very comfortable. Only issue is tricky to find bra that works w/ straps. Love the material of the dress - very well made.

The higher slits make it cooler to wear on a hot evening.

I just rented this for a summer party and it is exactly what I was looking for - Gorgeous colors, elegant lines and can be dressed up or down. It runs bigger than other items from Joie so I will order again in a smaller size!

Loved this dress. Super light weight, perfect for summer. As others have said it does run big. I am a pretty true size 8 and I went down to a 6R on this one and it fit perfectly. The only challenge is that i did have to go braless because of the way the dress is cut. A strapless bra may work but you will see a little bit of it on the side through the arm holes

Ran big under arms, I'm 5'9 and it was long enough -which is rare for me, loved it!

I really really loved this dress. It is such a beautiful print and is really flattering - especially the neckline. I do have to agree with some of the other reviews that it does run a little large. So if you are in between sizes or aren't sure, definitely go a size down as it does run large, especially on top. But overall, it is a beautiful dress and one I would rent again, just maybe a size smaller!
