The other reviews said the skirt fit large; I thought the fit was comfortable, especially if you are going to tuck in your shirt (as you should, to show off the pretty braided waistband). The skirt is a comfortable length even for work. There are small snaps in between the buttons, such that the skirt doesn't gape open at the buttons when you sit down.

I wore this piece twice, for some reason with two different striped shirts. Great for hourglass figure, the belt & buttons are great details. Love, love, love

I still have 10 lbs of baby weight and I was hesitant to try this skirt because everyone said it runs large. The only size available to rent was a 23. Even pre-pregnancy I'm 110lbs and at best a 24-25. I rented the 23, and it fits. I'm 5'4" and 120 pounds. The skirt is very comfortable. It's even easy to sit in. Granted, the buttons pooch up funny when you sit down. Overall, it's a cute casual skirt.

Wore this on a random casual Saturday and was the perfect style to wear to Farmers Market, lunch with family and then to a cookout in the evening.

It's a jean skirt. I rented it for a trip to visit my family. I know we were going to the ballgame. I don't like wearing shorts to family events and it was 100 degrees. I always wear a 2/ 26, and the waist was probably two inches bigger than I would expect. Not a big deal with the outfit I wore, and it does make the skirt hang nice and straight. I'm 5'4, but long legged, and it hit me about 1 inch above my knees. The pockets are huge, and that was nice. I could slip my money, lipstick, ID , and phone in my pocket without having to schlep my big tote everywhere.

This is a great versatile skirt that I could imagine wearing all the time. The braid detail really sets it apart. The only problem is it was huge on me. So I definitely recommend ordering down at least a size. I'll do that next time I rent it.

I have shopped for a denim skirt for years never finding ones that fit my bigger hips and smaller waist. This skirt is everything! It's a great length for a stay-at-home mom on the go. It's comfortable and chic. I liked it so much I bought it!

Loved this skirt! The fit is higher waisted and looked so cute with a fitted striped tee or plain white tee. Wore several times during my 1 month rental. Trendy and stylish.

I wear a 2/4. The item I ordered came back without a belt so this was the item I decided on. I do believe this is a 0. I asked the gal to confirm it was a 2 and she said the maker compared it to a 2.

As previous reviewers have said, this skirt does run a bit large and I wish I had sized down. That didn't stop me from wearing it...and receiving a ton of compliments the day I did! The button front looks great and there are extra little snaps that keep the buttons from gaping open. This was super easy to wear and I felt pulled together with just a simple t-shirt and sandals.

I normally wear a 25 but I ordered a 24 and it fit perfect. It's long enough to wear to work if it's business casual but I wore it on the weekend and the braid detail on the waist was such a cute detail

I rented this skirt for a trip to London and ended up buying it, because I feel like I'll get a ton of use out of it as a solid wardrobe staple. It runs large -- I'm typically a 26 or 27 and rented a 25. Love the belt detail and the snaps between buttons. Good for travel.

I rented this in the 26 and it's totally wearable but the 25 would have fit me much better. Super cute and casual to throw on when you're just looking for an alternative to shorts

Very difficult to find dainty denim skirts and this one meets the mark. Ended up buying it in fact. Perfect length that would even be acceptable for a casual work environment, great for everyday wear. Fits true to size, and plenty of room in the hips if you have a small waist but a bit of a booty (; Love the big pockets and braided waistband. There's also snaps between the buttons so no worries of gaping in the wrong places. Joie does it again <3

I rented this for my honeymoon knowing I could pair it with many different tops white site seeing. Soft fabric that didn't wrinkle. Wishing I would have bought it!

I have a butt and probably could of gone up a size to keep it more work appropriate. But it fit true to size, and was a great weekend skirt.

After reading the other reviews, I followed suit of ordering way smaller. I'm s normal size 4, and I ordered a 0 - and it fit perfect! Loved the big pockets too!

Super cute and comfortable. I wore it to work with a black top and flats but also with wedge heels.

When I first saw this dress on the RTR website, I worried that the denim skirt / braided belt combo would be a bit too 90s soccer mom, but it ended up being an MVP on my last vacation. Like the RTR model, I paired it with a white tee, but also added a bright silk scarf and wore it with a pair of white sneaks. It really was the perfect outfit for traveling - comfortable enough for the plane, but stylish enough that I could wear it around the resort as soon as we arrived. As for size ... I'm normally a 25 in jeans, but usually size down for skirts so I ordered this skirt in a 24 and it fit just right.

I am a pretty true size 6, or size 28 in jeans, but this skirt was too big for me in size 28. It hung down around my hips rather that fitting snugly at the waist as I expected. I would recommend a size down. Otherwise, it was as expected and would be a great casual, 70ish vibe if properly fitted!
