Nice dress Well made Good pattern The tiny snap on the top is pointless

I really like J Crew but I don't think it's the best fit for larger chest women. I still make it work. Watch the snap closing the cross top as it will pop open.

Wore to a semi casual evening work event and had to pin the criss-cross top closed because the small snap wouldn’t hold. The waist was tight so I had to wear spanx. If I had known I would have gotten an 8 but that would have been too loose in the bust. Sad it didn’t work because the print, color, skirt and length were just right.

This is a really versatile dress! The design and fit are classic and flattering.

Made me look frumpy and heavy. My husband said I looked like a grandmother. Also if I took a big breath in the snap on the chest would open, not for big breasted ladies.

I liked the print of this dress and that it ran longer. I'm 5,8 and it hit below the knee. A bit tight in the rib cage. Also very bust on me. There is a snap to help keep it closed but that was a joke and my tits were on full display, but since the dress is otherwise modest I didn't mind.

A bit large especially in the bust. I'm a DD and couldn't fill out the fabric in the chest- size down. I got slot of "little house on the prairie " references in this lightweight summer dress. It did feel a bit homemade and calico corner fabric like. Has a slight high low hemline. On the positive....pockets.

8R did not fit so I ordered the 10R which was perfect. This is a pretty and well made dress and can even be worn at work with a cardigan. It’s lined with a light fabric but would be too hot for an out door summer event. Easy to wash and hang dry without ironing. The Liberty Print is lovely.

This is a comfortable dress that has pockets. Dress tape or a camisole is needed because the snap easily comes undone at the chest.

Someone wisely put a pin in the front and was perfect. Cute dress and got compliments a lot. Not want to buy but rent it again.

As many of the other reviews mentioned, this was too tight in the chest for me to wear. The print is lovely and it’s a great length for more conservative events, but ultimately I couldn’t wear it.

I wanted to love this, but the top isn't grea for busty girls like me. There was a visible snap on the bust, and it kept popping open, even though the dress FELT like it fit. If the snap hadn't been there and kept opening, I probably would have worn the dress.

Very low cut, chest clasp is awkwardly placed. I have a short torso, 36C and small waist. The 8 was impossibly tight on my rib cage so I had to size up to a 10. Bust was still illfitting on me, slipping & showing my bra while the rest of the dress fit on the looser side. Wore it for a shower, but would not rent again

When I first saw J Crew on RTR I though "why?" I typically use my unlimited to rent more special designer items that are too expensive to buy for the amount of wear they would get or too trendy to keep forever. However, I rented this dress for vacation and I'm so happy that I did. It was so comfortable, well constructed, and just the right length on me with a lightweight, Liberty of Londonesque floral fabric, pockets, and a lining. The dress traveled well and made it through a tropical downpour no worse for the wear. Now I'm glad to know that I can rent J Crew on RTR!

Tight around bust area. Need a bralette since it is cut low in front.

I wore it for a daytime church wedding. It was easy to move in and the perfect length. It was also casual enough to walk around town in after without feeling overdressed. Perfect daytime dress!

I've been renting J Crew more and more because of comfort and knowing size will fit. The tip on this dress has a snap but I had to add my own because not designed for 36D. Lots of compliments, would buy if could afford!

Rented for the second time and took it to a New York 4th of July celebration. Easy to wear, cool and comfortable cotton material. Love the body con fit with plenty of flow below the hip. Also love the high low style that makes it so current. The perfect rental this summer.

Loved this dress for work and also great to transition out. There's a clasp to hold it closes so you don't need a cami underneath. Fits true to size, fairly long so may need heels. I'm 5'6 and the back part just came to my ankles

Have to wear a tank top as snap at chest would not stay

Runs small in the bust. If you're a D-cup or more, don't bother, as you will be popping the snap at the bust every time you sit down. Or wear with a plunge bra with tape and don't bother with the snap closure. That was not an option as this was for a church event.

I wore this out to dinner at a Lodge & it was a perfect style. A little tight in the bust . I should have gotten a size 10 rather than 8

This dress is super comfortable and flattering on me. The neckline snap, while I imagine helpful for people with smaller chests, was absolutely useless for me (I'm a 38DD). Still, I like my boobs and I didn't mind having them out a little, so this wasn't so bad overall, considering the length. I normally wear a 14 in brands that make room for boobs and hips, but J. Crew typically fits more straight up and down, so I usually have to size up or skip it altogether. The 16 is a little loose in the waist, but overall the shape is very flattering and highlights my hourglass shape. Also, I love the pockets. I also wore it to work with a light pink bralette underneath. I like it so much I am planning on taking it on a trip to Berlin and the UK next week.

I didn't love the front snap--it kept coming undone.

Loved the style - perfect dress for summer. I'm 5'4" and could wear with flats. Don't recommend for anyone shorter than that. One star deducted because of the deep v neck and the useless snap meant to cover cleavage. I'm small on top and I couldn't even button the snap so wore tank top underneath. Not my ideal look but still liked it.

I love a dress that I can wear to work and to dinner. This dress has pockets, a modest neckline, and is a fun length. I would rent again or consider buying it. It does run a bit large, but I like a roomier fit.
