This dress was a nice change from a basic black sheath. The draped neckline was very flattering. I paired it with a cream blazer for a work presentation. The skirt is cut a bit wide which I why I deducted a star and did not purchase.

Caveat, I wore this while 20 weeks pregnant, however I don't think I would have liked it any better even if I wasn't. I ordered a size up because of my bump. The size was fine but the dress was nothing special. It was a basic black dress, and I have rented much more flattering black dresses from RTR. The cut around my arms was a bit deep and did not show my arms in a flattering light.

I'm generally a 4 but I often size down in J Crew. The 2 fit like a glove. Simple and easy to wear to work. The fabric didn't feel expensive, but it was thick and didn't wrinkle.

This is a fairly basic dress but done just perfectly. The fabric is a comfortable crepe that does not wrinkle easily. It is fitted but not tight and the cut is so flattering. Perfectly true to size.

This is a great dress if you need something work appropriate and a bit more conservative. I loved the fit and fabric, and the draped neckline made it a bit more interesting than just a plain black sheath. I wore it with a cream colored blazer, tights, and ankle boots for winter, but it could also be a good springtime dress with different accessories.

Long for a short person. It was below the knees on me and didn't look that good.

Like a lot of JCrew for me, the top of the dress was too big and the bottom of the dress was too snug. I could pull it off with control top hose and a blazer to cover the low hanging arm holes :) Its a good style and very good quality. If you are 5'3" or below, you need a Petite size for a JCrew dress.

Good price to buy if you are looking for a plain black work dress but beware it runs So Large I got a 2 and am swimming in it! Would have definitely preferred a 0 and even that may have been roomy

Wore it once and wish I hadn't worn it at all. Very oversized. Odd for J Crew.
