Runs big , loves the color and fit

I wore this jacket way more than I expected to - it's warm, has great pockets and is a fantastic color (kind of a pink/red combo).

Definitely a bit oversized but cute!

This coat is SO great! The color is beautiful and pops. Love the hood. Wore this so many times people didn’t realize it was a rental! It is boxy as others said. I was happy to find out there are pockets behind the two flap pockets you see (much more comfortable to use and accessible!). I considered buying, but opted to buy a more fitted coat instead

Happy I read the reviews! I'm a true 8 and the small was perfect on me, even over a sweater. I love this jacket, it's high quality, gorgeous color, looks expensive, def considering buying.

Great color, love the hood, warm and toasty, and holy moly the pockets are darling. I am curvy and so I don't mind a boxy top and this was ideal for layering.

I love all of the JCrew wool coats but this one is extra special. The red color is beautiful and I cannot believe how warm this is while still being comfortable. I'm usually a solid M but might consider trying this in a size down for the fall because it is very roomy even with a sweater underneath, but would be great as is for extra layering in the winter.

I ordered the XXS (the smallest size) based on reviews. I’m short but not skinny (I weigh about 125). It fit fine overall (arms, length and chest) but the front sticks out. When I asked my 9-year old what she thought , she said it looked too big.

Knew it would be short and boxy going into it... just didn't expect to swim in the jacket. It's really big.

I'm a regular JCrew shopper and have always been a L regardless of the item or reviews. Pay attention to the reviews. THIS IS HUGE! they must have messed up the tags when they sized this entire line because the L fit like an XXL

It’s a bit heavy but I liked color and spacious. It keeps me warm in a chilly day and night.

It’s pretty roomy and comfortable. I did not notice that there is a lighter color thread going through it in the beginning. I was thinking that it was lint or dust that needs to be cleaned up and then I realized it was that color thread going through. it just takes time for the eye to get used to it. It was not easy to see that in the pictures..

Definitely size down! I ordered a size down at 8 months pregnant with room to spare. The color is the real standout; it was the perfect holiday coat. The cut isn't the most flattering, but it worked with more fitted outfits. I received a lot of compliments on this coat.

Wore this twice for the color mainly. It was fine and added a nice pop of color when I wanted it but I didn't love it.

I loved the color and was super excited to wear this to brighten up winter days. However, the cut is super boxy and it seemed to run large on top of that. I have worn J.Crew wool jackets for years and the large in this coat made me feel like I was drowning in it and actually made it hard to wear. If you are between sizes I would consider sizing down.

I was looking for a cute coat I could rent for the Fall season to add a pop of color to my wardrobe and came across this. The quality of the coat is gorgeous, as with all J.Crew wool coats, but I hate the styling on this. The sleeves are a drop shoulder on a very heavy material so they don't drape well and the whole body is boxy and oversized. The pockets on the front are also huge and don't bend well with the coat. I honestly looked like a giant pink marshmallow when I put this on. I would HIGHLY recommend to size down if you are interested in this jacket to get a better look.
