This dress is absolutely beautiful, I received so many compliments. While I would say fit is true to size, it is definitely a tight fit in the skirt - form fitting/body con. My favorite rental ever.

The dress was perfect. Made me feel gorgeous and elegant without having to try. It does look slightly more business-y than I expected in the skirt, but the satiny feel of the top evens it out. Got a bunch of compliments from everyone! The color is gorgeous and great for a fall/winter wedding! Just FYI, the satin under the arms WILL show your sweat! Otherwise it was great!

I was pleasantly surprised how much prettier this dress actually was when I got it. The green is gorgeous, and the contrast of fabrics is really beautiful. The skirt has kind of a built in smoothing layer. But I still wore spanx under it to help it stay put, which worked out great. This dress is a great alternative to wearing "just another LBD." I felt beautiful and I got a lot of compliments. I may rent this again near Christmas since the color is perfect.

Classy and comfortable! The color of this dress is gorgeous in person. This fitted dress runs true to size with a lot of stretch in the skirt. The top does not have stretch but there is about an inch of space in the bust. This one shoulder dress should be worn with a strapless bra. There is not much room in the waist but comfortable room in the hips. The dress comes to about 2 inches below the knee. I would pair this with a pair of statement earrings!

I wore this for a formal charity event where half the ladies were in full length but this dress held up to the formality of the occasion and received many compliments. I tried it on in the Chicago store in a two. I could get it zipped but that's about all, the four was perfect. The bottom of the dress is stretchy so it was comfortable to sit in for dinner and also for dancing. I wish you could see the accessories better as they were also from Rent the Runway (lulu frost cite bracelet and earrings). I'm 5'4" and it hit right at my knee which is my comfort zone. Loved this dress!

This dress was very comfortable for my friend's afternoon wedding. The deep green color was perfect for Fall and the dress easily made the transition from afternoon to evening to after party! Normally I'm a size 8 but I got both a size 6 and 8. I went with the 6 because I really could feel a difference in the skirt between the two sizes other than the 8 being a couple of inches longer. Given that I'm 5'3", I didn't need those extra inches. (Note that the back of the dress is about an inch longer than the front. I loved that detail!) Also, the top of the size 8 was too large and I have a smaller bust. Lastly, I was a little suspicious of wearing a form-fitting dress that emphasized my hips but it turned out to be the best decision! I wore Spanx underneath, which alleviated any hesitation on my part, and no one suspected. I received tons of compliments and I would order this dress again in a heartbeat!

Very comfortable and flattering. The fabric has a rich feel, the color is a beautiful emerald green. The under layer offers good stretch support, the skirt did not ride up, the bust lining did not fall. This dress is too good to be true!

Fit perfectly! I was worried since I am only 5.4" that it might be too long but, it was just right. It fit perfectly on my curves although it did ride up a little when I walked. I got a ton of compliments and was wearing something very different from everyone else. The emerald color made it a hit.

Great dress for a wedding. Danced all night. No issues. Fit on top was perfect. No bra necessary. Bottom half felt tight but Spanx helped. Kept jewelry and shoes simple. Very classy look.

This dress was beautiful for a holiday party. My advice would be order your go to size and then one size up. Do not order one size down. I typically order a 4 and a 6 but ended up going with a 6 and an 8 based on other reviews. This was good advice. The skirt runs very tight and the top is not forgiving at all as it has no stretch. I squeezed into my normal size 6 because my back up size 8 was unavailable to ship. If my back up size would have arrived I do think that I would have gone with the 8 to be more comfortable.

The beautiful dress made me feel so glamorous. The silky bodice has lovely draping and rich hunter green color. The bottom is very fitted, but still has enough give that you can move. Be mindful that the material from the skirt extends underneath the silky layer on top and is straplesss so you have to adjust it from time to time.

I'm usually a 4-6. This dress is a little small for size. But I still loved it. The staff of RTR was awesome. Worth the trip to NYC. Quick note. Bring your id.

I rented the size 2 and it was very snug around the hips--probably could easily have sized up (34/27/36.5). The fabric and the lining are both stretchy which made for some interesting 'what is happening here?' moments when adjusting the skirt. Otherwise, it was comfortable and stunning. For me the blouson style on top is a crucial element for a rental, since I would normally have to have any fitted dress taken in at the bust.

Beautiful deep evergreen color in classic style perfect for an hour glass shape. Silk top portion gave it a Grecian feel that worked well with my winged heels for a gala. I wear a 36D-32E bra and fabric laid nicely across chest- no pulling. I have a slim but brick house shape. The waist down fit like I had it custom made as it hugged my waist and curves. I usually wear a 6 in everyday life but recommend an 8 if you have a D or larger chest. The body of dress will still fit a size up.

I loved this dress and even tried to track it down to purchase after my event, but had no luck! The color is beautiful. It looks classy, but stands out in a sea of black and navy. It was comfortable, but structured enough to be really flattering. I would absolutely rent it again.

I wore this for my work holiday party (cocktail attire). The 4 fit great for my body -- the 6 felt huge on top. I'm usually a 2-4 so I'd say this fits very true to size. There are a few standout characteristics of this dress: 1) There's a thin stretchy strap underneath the shoulder satin to help keep the dress up. 2) The shoulder stays on perfectly if the dress fits you. No fidgeting! 3) The lining within the dress is fitted and nicely holds everything in place. 4) The color is absolutely stunning. 5) No bra necessary!!! This is one of those dresses where people will ask you where you bought it and you'll nearly cry when you have to tell them it isn't really yours. REALLY did not want to return it! I'm only sorry I didn't get a chance to snap a pic.

Lovely fit. Super comfortable. The lining under the top helped me feel secure with both straps and bra. There was no tugging to keep the dress up. The transition from the flowy top to the fitted skirt was flattering to the waist. It was length appropriate and the top didn't gap when I leaned over. I would totally rent this dress again. And it was a replacement because mine was unavailable at the last minute!

The dress length was very appropriate for work. I thought size 6 and size 8 fit the same but the size 6 had a stain on it so i wore the size 8. I was very happy with the fit and the material. I would wear this dress again

skirt is meant to fit tight. It includes a spanx lining. I wear a 2-4 and 4 skirt was snug. Looks nice with high waist. Quite flattering.

This dress was absolutely stunning. The top portion was beautiful and formal, and the bottom skirt was comfortable, stretchy, and flattering. I don't normally find pencil skirts (or skirts this length) flattering on me, but the length of this dress was perfect and overall the dress was made well. Beautiful color too. The linear emerald drop earrings are perfect with this.

This dress is a very nice forest green color, great for fall/winter events. The top is a draped silky fabric that fit beautifully and the bottom is a thicker material that is flattering (i.e. form fitting) but still stretches enough to be very comfortable and easy to sit in. At first I was a little unsure as to how the longer back of the skirt would look in person but it still looked great! This is a very elegant and flattering dress. It felt sexy but still ladylike. Perfect!

Wore this for a date with my husband. The material is lightweight and simple design. The fabric lay of the top portion took a little getting used to, but never left me feeling exposed. Beware you don't accidentally zip yourself in though! I caught myself on the zipper when trying it on.

Fits true to size, but I didn't care for the material on the bottom 3/4 of the dress. It was a warm material and better suited for winter time. The length was also too conservative for how slinky the top part is. Nice dress but wasn't my cup of tea and didn't realize it was kind of long.

Unfortunately i didnt wear this dress to my event. It was a great dress and a BEAUTIFUL color but its not good for big chests.

I loved this dress in the pictures--but unfortunately didn't fit my body type. It runs very small in the hips, and normal in the top. So, when I went up a size in order to fit butt/hips...the top was too big. Best for someone with a very straight figure.

Loved the style of the dress and the color but didn't get a chance to wear it. Super tight around the back side and totally didn't feel it was appropriate for a company Christmas party. Size up by two sizes! The skirt fits like a thick pencil skirt and could have been super comfortable but it was too tight! Great length and the detail at the back was really interesting and different. Perfect color for the holidays!
