I rented this dress for the Red Tie Ball, the annual fundraising gala for the Children’s Heart Foundation. It was perfect off the hanger, true to size, ideal length for my 5’3” frame (and I wore sneakers, didn’t need a heel). True to size and great for a curvy, busty broad torso gal. No notes! Loved the pockets!

I wore this dress to a black tie event and received compliments all night! The dress fit well, and the length was perfect (I’m 5’5.). I do recommend an undergarment for the back to keep the boning from scratching the skin. Overall, a beautiful gown, and I felt amazing!

The perfect ball gown for an evening at the Art Center

I wore those to a wedding in Utah in the fall. The fabric is very holiday with the gold brocade. I wanted something extravagant and fun, and this was perfect. It’s a showstopper, everyone had a comment about how beautiful the dress is. The fit was a bit large in the chest for me (I’m 34A), I used fashion tape. The length was perfect to my ankles (I’m 5’7). The fabric of the dress is thick and textured, there is crinoline and lining in the skirt, it looks and feels expensive.

This dress. THIS DRESS. I was convinced by the previous reviewer to give it a shot. I received SO MANY COMPLIMENTS and felt like a princess. I didn’t think I could “pull it off” but the fit is fantastic and the pattern is just the right amount of formal and fun. When you try it on at home you might think it’s “too much” but then arriving to the venue it all clicks. The top was a bit too large but the waist fit perfectly. I have more of a square frame and no chest. Do it.

I wore this dress to a Christmas themed black-tie gala. I have had bad luck with formal dresses recently so I was a little nervous that this one would not work but when I put it on, I didn't want to take it off! I received so many compliments throughout the night and truly felt comfortable the entire time. The length was perfect for me. I have had trouble with evening gowns being too long in the past so to have this one end at the ankles made it fun and easy to walk around in. I have a larger chest and ended up wearing a bra with this to make sure everything stayed in place. I would definitely recommend this for my curvy girls.

Wore this to a black tie wedding and felt so good — I have a fuller chest and get nervous with strapless dresses but this one is durable, hides boob tape / nipple covers well, and has elastic on the top to help hold it up all throughout dancing! It’s so elegant + a nice break from a classic black dress! Definitely recommend for a princess diaries feeling moment!

Wore this to a winery wedding and my my it was amazing I was comfy and felt so good!! The chest area was definitely big but I used (and reapplied) some boob tape and it was perfect!!

Received a ton of compliments on this gown for a Black Tie Optional Wedding. I received Size 2 and 4 and went with the 4 but had to just a strapless bra to fill out the bust area a little. It was pretty comfy and I didn't have to pull it up too much. A must rent for any formal event!

I’m usually between a size 2 and a 4, but the 2 was unavailable so the 4 ended up working! Slightly large in the chest (34AA) but fit well in the rib cage so I didn’t have to pull it up constantly. I was a little nervous this would be too wintery for a June wedding but absolutely loved this dress and got so many compliments!

Gorgeous dress, pictures really don’t do it justice. I received so many compliments and felt so glam in this! It was a little big in the bust, and I probably would have been more comfortable in a size down. It’s definitely not quite floor length.

This was a backup dress. I didn’t think I would love it as much as I did. I wore it to an Indian wedding with a floral theme. So many compliments. Could have been a bit smaller overall for me, but made it work with tape. I also had to tape up the inner slip/lining because it could be seen at the bottom of the dress. Because the dress is slightly higher on the front I didn’t have to wear as tall of heels.

Literally had complete strangers come up to tell me how incredible the dress was. It fits very true to size.

This looks even better in person! Got the 16 and the 14. Something said to try the smaller size first, and the fit was perfect. Received compliments all evening at our Christmas dinner.

Loved this dress. Wore it to a formal holiday party and received lots of compliments. I hope to rent it again for a black tie wedding. Super comfy/flattering because it wasn’t tight around the waist. Only issue was the top was slightly loose (34B) so I kept pulling it up. Dress tape might help. Also, it was perfect length for me (5’9) with three inch heels.

I absolutely adored this dress. I wore it to a semi-formal Christmas party and received so many compliments. There is a built in bra and it stayed up all night (plus there is pockets!). Would highly recommend for my full chest friends!!

I have never felt more fabulous than in this dress! I got endless compliments when I wore it to a black tie wedding. It is so beautiful with the shimmer of the leaves and the bright red flowers. I wore it with a red lip, red earrings and gold shoes and it looked perfect together with the colors of the dress.

This dress is a dream! Do yourself a favor and order it now. I got so many compliments at the wedding I wore it too. Perfect for black tie. The colors are absolutely beautiful….rose golds and reds. And the best part…IT HAS POCKETS. So beautiful on the dance floor.

Let me start by saying 2 things: 1. this was my first RTR experience (it was great!) and 2. I was attending my ex- BILLIONAIRE boss's black tie wedding. That's right, a billionaire. And besides the bride, I was the best dressed there, kid you not. I got stopped in the church, on the streets of NYC, in the bathroom of Bemelman's Bar, during the reception multiple times by the families of the bride & groom even! I felt like it was MY day. I like to wear black or dark colors to weddings but none that had my size were available so I was forced to go with this one and I don't regret it. The dress is a classic fit, you will feel like a princess on top of a wedding cake. It oozed Grace Kelly, elegance. It's a very thick, brocade polyester fabric with many layers, ideal for cooler weather wedding; and while it was manufactured in China, I still felt like a million bucks. The zipper was the worst part though- impossible to zip it up yourself as the zipper kept getting stuck and my husband thought he was going to break it with how much force he had to use to pull it up and down. Pair with a block heel for the perfect silhouette & to not let the dress drag on the floor. I took Ubers and NYC public buses and walked down many streets and the dress was never damaged. Don't walk, RUN to this dress :)

Wore this for a garden party formal wedding. My only note is the bust can bunch up and look a tad frumpy. Some of the wiring inside the chest needs to be straightened out but breathable for the summer heat and comfortable!

Invest in a good strapless bra.

I am absolutely thrilled with this dress! The fabric is high-quality, soft to the touch, and feels incredibly durable. It drapes beautifully and has just the right amount of stretch for a flattering fit. Comfort is key for me, and this dress definitely delivers—it feels light and breathable, perfect for all-day wear. The design is elegant and versatile, with unique details that elevate its overall look. Perfect for a formal affair. I gave it 4 stars due to the maintenance required, including steaming the hem and shortening the slip, which I did with dress tape, since it was longer than the dress itself. Highly recommend despite!

I got compliments, but I felt super hot, synthetic material, not breathable, the boning was poking me all opera long. It looks like it’s a proper dress cause it’s a full skirt, embroidered, there are golden details…but it’s not very well-built, supportive, nor super flattering.

Ran large in the top for me (small-ish chest) but received so many compliments. The base color is more grayish with a cool tone than what it looks like online, but it is still stunning.

A tiny bit too large on the top the boning was getting moving around. Put a bra on underneath which helped. Stunning overall

I have never received so many compliments on a garment. People walked across the ballroom to compliment this standout dress.—it was unlike anything else at the event The dress fabric is gorgeous and really shines in a dimly lit room. If you can, I recommend steaming it because the fabric is rather wrinkled. Seems to run a little big, I’m a 14/16 but ended up in a 12.

It comes to the ankle so make sure your shoes are cute. It most definitely required a steam and iron on the bottom of the dress.

We have an annual black tie gala and I always Rent the Runway for it. I have always found something perfect but this year is the all time winner. Photos absolutely do not do this dress justice. The rose gold foil accent that is intermixed with the red flowers is stunning. At least 10 strangers spontaneously came up to me and said it was the most beautiful dress they had seen (and anyone who found out it was RTR told me to buy it). My only complaint is that I had a little trouble keeping it up but I’m positive that one size down would have been too small… Rent this immediately. I would rent it again but it was such a standout that people would immediately remember that I wore it the last time!

I was so excited for this dress to come but it was way too big sadly and I couldn’t wear it! From what I’ve always learned, formal dresses can run a size or two smaller. Definitely order your normal clothing size with this one!! The length was perfect for me, hit right to the ground and I am 5’3”!
