Bridesmaid dress. So pretty!!!!

The dress wasn't as gold as it looked in the advertisement but it was still great. I wore bronze/brown colored shoes I didn't wear a necklace or bracelet I decided to wear huge diamond like earrings trtrimmed in gold.

This dress is exquisite- and everyone kept commenting it was the best wedding dress they had ever seen on a bride! The photos were in the NY times wedding section and the Haiti shots will be in a bridal magazine in June. I was so thrilled with the dress that i didn't want to take it off!I I read every review on here to try and work out if it would fit but there were many confusing ones when it came to weight and sizes. I was nervous it wasn't going to fit as this was my wedding day so my model girlfriend in NYC who is a size 0 and went over to Bendel's to try it on and she skyped me in it so i could see it....she is the thinnest person i know but she fit into the size 6!!!. So my prior plans for fitting into the size 2 or 4 ( which is my usual size) went out the door. So i ordered a size 8R and then the 10 R for back up. The size 8R fit to perfection... the sleeves are tight on arms and it is firm around the stomach so if you have a chubby tummy it will stick out a bit. I am 5 foot 5 and the regular length was perfect with my 5 inch heels. The color changes depending on what type of light you are in. It has a delicate black lace under it that you can't see in their main pic they have posted but it makes the shots look better with it not being a flat gold and it actually makes you look slimmer. So thrilled with this dress i have one more wedding in Australia to rent it for- its going on a wedding world tour! lol

It runs small in the waist, but looks amazing! It's very slimming and flattering in photos.

This dress DEFINITELY runs small. I usually wear a 4 and I was squeezing into the 6. The length was perfect and I wore 2" heels. With the open back, I noticed that the side had some bunching because my back/bust didn't completely stretch out the material. I ended up doing a little bit of pinning at the bottom to bring it in and the bunching went away. The dress itself is beautiful and makes you feel gorgeous. Got tons of compliments all night. Wore copper colored heels and green antique earrings.

It fit true to size. If you are tall I would opt for the "long" versions of the dress. I ended up wearing flats.

Everything I noticed about this dress was summed up by other renters. The sleeves are narrow with very little give, but the effect is SO slimming. The material is very fragile and gets caught on everything - be careful. The regular length felt short to me. I like long dresses to be down to the floor. I'm 5'5 and wish I'd have rented the long version. The color in pictures is much more gold than in person. If you have a small bust, as I do, you'll need to fill out the top with some sort of adhesive bra, to avoid potential wardrobe malfunctions. Pair this dress with accessories of a different color, jewel tones, black, etc. Otherwise, you could look washed out. The dress is amazing and totally fulfills on the promise to stand out in a sea of dark formal dresses.

The fit is very snug, particularly at the lower belly-- beware of this! Also I had to buy a Nubra (adhesive backless bra), but I'm glad I made that investment. The dress runs verrry long, and I had to buy 5-inch platforms to keep from stepping on the hem! I'd beware of jewlery or anything getting snagged on the dress-- It's not crazy delicate, but it is still a lacey-ish fabric! Don't let any of this deter you! It was all worth it!

This dress is TINY - on the day weighed about 107lb, I knew from previous reviews that the dress ran small but the 2 regular has a waist band of 23-24 inches. So be warned. Having said that, it was just perfect for my NY City Hall wedding, I have never felt so beautiful.

This dress has NO stretch at all. I usually wear size 2 and sometimes size 0. I rented a size 2L and 4L. They both fit, but I ended up wearing the 4L, to make room for a drink :) I'm between 5'6 -5'7 tall and went with the longer version of the dress. The longer is great if you're my hight and plan on wearing very high heels. It will still almost touch the floor. The dress seems to be more gold in the RTR photo. Actually it has thin black lace with golden details, so it's not that gold.

I wore this dress to a formal cocktail party and absolutely loved it. I ordered an 8 and the 10 long and ended u wearing the 8. I was worried about the sleeves having no stretch (based on reviews), but once you pull them all the way up, they are fine. I think the dress should fit snugly and that is why I wore the 8. It was actually really comfortable and I didn't have to fuss with anything all night.

Wore this Issa gown to a very elegant wedding in Miami and everyone had amazing things to say! Definitely an eye catcher, felt like a princess. Very form fitting so careful w sizing. The long is too long, I would go w he regular length and some strappy gold heels. Overall a hit!

The fit was perfect. The only negative was that i didn't want to take it off. I recieved positive coments all night

This was actually my third backup dress from RTR. My first two did not fit/work out so I got this dress overnighted and it arrived the day of prom. I ordered a size up, an 8L and it fit great! The only issues were that the lace/netting is very fragile and there were multiple holes in it when I received the dress. Luckily they weren't noticeable. Second, the sleeves are not made for women with semi muscular arms!! They were very tight. The zipper was kind of difficult to get up and it's more of a greenish gold. Also, you NEED to wear a nubra with this dress or something to fill it out up top. Regardless, it was a stunning gown and I received so many compliments! I don't regret my choice at all!

I was so in love with this dress that even though it wasn't available in my size (2R or 2P would have been much more appropriate) for the date I needed it, I got it anyway. Since it wasn't my size, it was much longer in length and a bit wider in the bust, but the sleeves, waist and hip fit like a glove! Which is saying something since I weigh like 89 pounds. To make the dress fit I just tied a ribbon around it to pull it in and I bunched up the side and held it so I could walk properly. The effect was actually quite wonderful, the ribbon looked pretty and the length of the dress made it look like a train, and since this was a wedding it was perfect! The lace detailing is gorgeous and the dress might look slightly darker than in the picture at night, but during the day it resembles the picture extremely accurately. The sunlight made the darker lace almost invisible and all you saw was this sheen of gold. If you get the 2L and aren't as "well endowed" up there are some people, I would seriously recommend a pushup bra or the ribbon trick, else the top will sag and since the dress is backless, the sag is extremely noticeable since there's nothing behind it to hold it up. With the dress I wore a long purple and gold dupatta (it's like a traditional Indian/Pakistani veil) and it looked pretty awesome with the dress. The nice thing about the dress is it's gorgeous in its own right, but it can handle a great amount of color or detail on anything else you're wearing with it. The dupatta and dress never overshadowed each other and complemented each other very nicely. Especially since the dress and dupatta only "met" the day before the wedding.

The dress was GREAT! My favorite part was the long sleeves and the open back. The great part about this dress is that it feels soooo light on! Also, it gives you a great silhouette and hugs your body in all the right places. My only gripe was that the dress hung a bit on the sides near the rib cage. I ordered a 4R and 6L (RTR did not have the 6R in stock at the time of purchase). The 4R would have fit PERFECTLY but it was a little too tight in the waist. Overall, the dress was fantastic and a sure show stopper!

This gown will leave you feeling gorgeous and really stands out in a ball room full of your average and typically worn gowns. I received so many compliments throughout the night and on my photos. My husband and I attended the USMC ball and it was a perfect compliment to his dress blues. This was perfect for my athletic/hourglass body shape. I am 5'2" and wore 4 inch heels. The gown in a 4R was the perfect length and hit right at the floor with my heels. It runs very tight in the waist and is a natural waist. I normally wear a size 2, xs/s. I had to go to a 4R this time. I recommend ordering a size up as a second choice if you are going to an event. Exactly what I wanted and is even more breathtaking in person.

Let me start off by saying that the dress is gorgeous and looks especially good in pictures! Some slight issues that I noticed though: 1. It is definitely shorter than a full-length dress should be. I'm 5'5" and wore 1.5 inch heels and it was barely touching my ankles. 2. Like someone pointed out before, it's not actually all gold. The lace is black underneath, which makes it look better in pictures than in reality. 3. On the right side, where the zipper zips up, the dress bunches up.

YOU NEED A BACKLESS NUDE LEOTARD/ GREAT STICK-ON BRA. I had to make a black backless leotard do at the last minute. The chest area was a bit too large, but the rest fit. I wore my usual size of 8. The arms were pretty tight.

I've been obsessing over this dress for a while and finally decided t rent it for an event. After reading reviews I was concerned about sizing and ordered an 8R and 10R. The 8R fit perfectly but it was horribly damaged. There were major rips in the arms of the gown and some small tears in the bodice. The 10R also had some small tears, but it was far too large. Overall, the dress fits very true to size. I normally wear a 6 or 8 in dresses or a small top and large bottoms. The 8 fit wonderfully. I was totally heartbroken because I loved the dress and how it fit, but I couldn't possibly leave the house with such noticeable damage to the dress. RTR customer service was great, but they couldn't get me a dress in time.They did give me a full refund though. I would suggest renting a back-up dress.

This was overnighted as my first dress didn't work out. The long was a little short but I wore flats so it worked out.

Beautiful dress. It was a little big in the bust so it would probably fit a C cup perfectly. You can have curves but you need to have a small waist to wear the dress. The length was great. Easy to dance in. Got some flattering comments on the dress.

My event is tonight Nov. 30th. I will be returning it this morning. I loved them both But they were both too short for any heels. Now I know to order long or tall in the future. :)

I loved this dress! I rented it to wear to my Buddhist wedding ceremony. It was a bit tight around th rib cage, but I didn't mind it too much. It's a very classy look and I loved eveyrthing about the dress

It fit true to size and was both classy and sexy with the open back. Definitely get long if you are 5'8'' or taller. I am 5'9'' and the long size was perfect with heels. Buy whatever size hits your mid-waste best. You NEED to buy a nubra with this dress or no bra at all - just FYI!

This dress definitely runs small. I would order a size or two up to make sure it fits. Also it is cut very narrow in the arms.

I'm 5'8 and got the L. With 3 inch heels it was about an inch too long but it puddled nicely.

I absolutely loved this dress! All the reviews are correct and the dress definitely runs small, sadly the larger of my two sizes wasn't available so when the dress arrived I was already skeptical about it fitting. It didn't :( It all fit except for at the waistband, I couldn't zip it. The sleeves are also pretty tight but I think you'd get used to it and they'd loosen up while wearing it. The dress is so different and has a very flattering fit, if I could have got the 4L I would have absolutely worn the dress for my event.

I loved this dress and the material was wonderful, but as others have said, the waistband is very unforgiving due to its complete lack of stretch. I would have worn it if I was at a standing event, but since I had to spend 8 hours at a formal dinner and music gala, I opted for a different dress that gave me more room to move around without having to suck in my stomach all the time!

Stunning dress! I generally wear a 4/6 dress but due to the comments I ordered a 6L and 8L. I tried the 8L on and it fit perfectly, although VERY long. Note: I have never worn an 8 in pants, shirts or dresses, so this dress ran very small in my opinion. I am 5'7 and had to wear 5" heels to make it work. Multiple people over the evening told me I was the best dressed. Felt great! Will definetly use RTR again soon!

Gorgeous dress! Unfortunately I ended up returning it because it was just a tad too tight around my ribs, rather than risk a disastrous rip, I opted for my back-up dress.

I didn't end up wearing this dress because the 8L had a last minute problem (based on reviews I sized up). Along with the replacement dress they did send me a 6R, which was too small. Admittedly, I did not make that much of an effort because I liked the replacement dress more than this one. The thing that was much too tight and too much of a struggle was the sleeves. I could have squeezed into it if I wanted but I didn't want to. THE PATTERN IS NOT NEARLY AS PRETTY AS THE PICTURE!!!! Also if you are 5'7" the regular length is much too short.

The style and overall look of the dress is very special. I didn't like the sewing line down the middle of the skirt part. The waist/back runs small. I have a small waist, but I could barely breath. There were some rips in the arm lace, though not obvious without close inspection.

elegant style, loved the open back and the lining is fantastic. yet the fabric has a copper edging you cant see in the pics and it takes away from the design. it also runs small. size 4 did not zip past my waist and arms were very snug. recommendyou go up a size. in comparison also rented Halston Vintage and ended up wearing that in a size 2.

This dress was sent to me as a back up size, as my original back up size was returned damaged beyond repair. I am a size 2-4, so rented a 6L just to be safe. So small I couldn't zip the side zipper past my rib cage. Also, this dress has ZERO stretch and the arms are incredibly small (and I have very slim arms). Bummer all the way around!

Overall, i'd say this dress runs one size smaller than it is. I usually wear a 2, but I saw this dress ran small so I ordered a 4R which wasn't available. They sent me a 6R, and since it runs so small I could have made it work but the lace was torn in about 4 different places. I would have made it work yet, but one of the tears was quite large and on the right arm in a very visible place. So, unfortunately it went back and i'll have to shop my closet.

The 4L was too small, but I had tried on the 6L in showroom which was very flattering and elongating for my narrow body type. Dress runs very small/fitted in the arms/sleeve (I have small arms). The gown had a small but noticeable tear, so even if it had fit, I would not feel comfortable wearing it. Dress is absolutely stunning though and looks amazing in right size.

RTR sent me a substitute for this dress...I can't beleive I received anything, as it was the week Sandy hit NYC! The red dress the sent was wonderful! Thanks RTR!

Who needs to buy a wedding dress when you have a conscientious company like RTR. This was one of three dresses sent to me by RTR. Contrary to one of the popular complaints about this dress, which is,that it runs small,I found it to run one size too large for me.Inspite of that it looked stunning and photographed beautifully. I accesorised it with raindrop ruby earrings and the Mr and Mrs Kate Spade clutch and there I was with all the ingredients for a perfect photoshoot. The detailing is beautiful. The silouhette and cut of the dress closely resemble the ensembles of two of my other favorite designers- Zuhair Murad and Ellie Saab. The customer care for RTR is absolutely the most helpful one can come across.I am definitely going to rent from them again.
