I received so many compliments on this dress. It is surprisingly supportive and loved the pockets! It is a little long in the back so needed to be mindful of that but otherwise great dress!

Comfortable and perfect for a formal event. The crossed straps on the back sit higher up by my shoulder blades, not the middle of my back as originally thought. I went with the larger size (14) because the straps were a bit snug on broad shoulders. Easy to match shoes and a clutch with. LOVED the pockets too!

This dress wows the crowd and earns the multitude of compliments that it gets. It looks FAB in pictures. It arrived perfectly ironed and stayed that way despite 90 degrees and humidity at the summer wedding. Even though the fabric is fairly heavy, the open back and scooped hemline kept me cool in the bright sunshine. I dressed it up with silver nail polish and a big silver band bracelet and pearls. It would be easy to dress it down with flowery jewelry, too.

So flattering on my athletic frame. Wish I had. A better photo to capture just how elegant this dress was. I am sometimes between a 6 and 8 and the 6 fit just fine. Plan to wear heels if you are shorter like me at 5'4" so the back doesn't drag. I paired with nude heels and a leopard bag for a less formal look. Also be prepared to steam before wearing as it wrinkles easily and in transit. Also, the pockets are a major selling point.

The dress was a really pretty Navy color and I was pleased to find it had pockets. It was really comfortable to move in as I was working at my office's gala. It was a little tight in the waist area, but that's the only thing I would maybe complain about.

The dress was perfect for my 14 year old and was modest even with the criss cross back. She's 5 foot 6 and 130lbs.

Fits true to size. Color is more blue than the picture on the website shows, but it is still a beautiful blue/green. The open back gave the dress just the bit of fun I wanted. I would absolutely love to own this dress if I had more reasons to wear it!

I wore this dress to a wedding - I’m glad I decided to go with this one instead of my other pick! It fit the vibe of the wedding really well, which was black tie optional. I wasn’t sure how I was going to feel about the high-low but I’m so glad I chose it because it made the whole night so much more easy and fun to move around and dance in without having a gown to trip over constantly. As other renters said it does fit large in the bodice, so I sized way down from my usual. The color is gorgeous! A classy deep blue but slightly on the teal side so it still stands out, got lots of compliments! I styled it in a 50s Chanel vibe (but on a budget lol) with pearls, a vintage beaded bag, and super low heels. I’m short but the back of the gown wasn’t too bad, just be sure to hold it up when necessary, but also just felt super classy and elegant doing that too hahaha✨👑Great first rental with RTR!

I got this dress in the size I *wanted* to be and the size I actually was. I felt it was true to size but if you’re in doubt size up. I actually rented this twice- once for a friends wedding in May and once to officiate my brothers wedding in September. The color is amazing, super deep pockets, the crisscross back is totally fun and the high/low is romantic and elegant. I’m pretty large chested and totally have a tummy, this dress flattered my body impeccably. I got SO many compliments both times Bonus for me- I didn’t need any special undergarments (I wore no bra and some bloomers).

This was perfect for formal night on our 16th anniversary cruise. The dressed flowed beautifully when I walked and showed off my sparkly shoes. It was a bit long in the back, as I’m 5’2”, but the height of the heels helped. My husband wants to buy me this dress!

It was definitely a little awkward at first. But once I was up and moving it felt great to dance in. I received compliments all night. I had to wear the sticky boob cups. The fit of the dress keeps them snuggly in place. It does wrinkle easily but I didn’t spend time steaming it bc it didn’t look bad.

I wore this to a fall gala. I loved the fit and the pockets and it was very comfortable. The fabric and train were perfect for black tie. It didn’t need a bra. There’s plenty of built-in support with the design and it’s lined. I am 5’2” 125 lbs and I wore a size 4 ( my regular size)

I loved this dress! I ended up wearing my backup size of 0R because there was a little too much fabric around the bust for me in the 2R.

Thick fabric, definitely a more formal dress. Not pictured - the back is criss cross which was a little annoying to keep adjusting all night. Otherwise comfortable. More teal than picture shows. Would recommending ordering your true size and 1 size down.

I thought I was going to have to tape my boobs for support with the backless dress but it fit so well I didn’t need anything and, as a 34G, that’s an unheard of event! Was a little long and would have worn heals but I broke my toe the day before.

Was actually a replacement rental and not even on my radar, but ended up being the perfect option! Received a ton of compliments and perfect fit.

Fun dress. Not sexy, except for the back, but easy to wear when eating or drinking because the fit is forgiving/hides the stomach. The pockets are very convenient.

Got this as a replacement for an award banquet when my initial rental wasn't wearable due to my chest (36DD). I'm usually an 8 or a 10 and this dress in a 10 was perfect! I got compliments all night! It's light and beautifully flowy, the inner lining is so perfectly soft. No bra needed though I did use some fashion tape to keep the crisscross straps from riding up towards my neck and the front bunching. No problems with wrinkles after my initial ironing. Absolutely LOVED this!

The back of this dress is gorgeous! I wore to a black tie wedding in a trendy hotel. The top runs a bit big, but otherwise I think it is true to size.

I am 5'8", 190lbs and the 12R fit but the waist was very tight. I was looking forward to taking it off by the end of the night. The top was a little big but I taped it down with fashion tape and it was fine! The color is beautiful and the pockets are a nice perk. Wore this to a black tie optional wedding

This dress was perfect for a wedding! I received so many compliments. The material was high quality, the back was such an elegant touch, the color was gorgeous and IT HAD POCKETS. The only thing is that since I have a proportionally bigger butt than I do boobs, the top was loose and had to be pinned. But once that was done, it was absolutely perfect. 1000000000/10 would recommend!!

This was my first time using renttherunway and I was overall very impressed. I fell between a size 4 and 6 straight off of Hutch’s size chart and ordered both of those. I probably could have gotten away with the size 4 however the straps were still pretty loose. I was able to have the size 2 sent to me as a backup. It still arrived in time for the event, and fit perfectly. If you’re smaller on top like I am I would probably consider sizing down and/or measuring it to fit your bust and waist. Some people have mentioned that it gaps in the chest and I noticed this a little but it definitely didn’t deter me from liking the dress. It was barely noticeable without a padded bra and if I kept my shoulders back.

Great dress for a black tie, formal or cocktail event. I got a lot of compliments -- the only downside is that it was loose in the bust, but it wasn't noticeable/ a deal breaker Also feel like the cut if the dress made me appear shorter (I'm 5'9" without heels). But still a great dress!

Dress is sort of difficult to get on with the crossing straps, so I would recommend doing hair/makeup after it's on (or grab a friend to help shimmy through). Once it's on, it's quite comfortable and easy to move around in! I love the back of the dress, but a bra won't work--some thin inserts are all you need in the bust area.
