Love the high/low, especially being short- didn't have to worry about the dress being too long. The pockets are fantastic! I carried my phone in one and ID and chapstick in the other. The zipper is on the side and I needed an extra set of hands to pull it up. Even with the back V, you can wear a regular bra.

SUPER comfortable, and I LOVED the pockets. The zipper was a little tough, I needed help zipping and unzipping, it would continually get stuck in the same spot. The top is a stretchy material so I could have gone down a size in that and then I could have used 0.5" more in the waist. Other than that - loved it!

great dress, fun with some fuchsia accessories. skirt does come wrinkled, it's a funny fabric so you'll need to have a steamer or low heat to get that cleaned up. easy wear with no need for special bra or really even for spanx.

My original choice didn't fit so this was sent overnight and I loved it. The bodice fits tightly and the skirt is luxurious and fully lined. I received so many compliments. I wore this to a church ceremony, christening. It was the perfect dress for the occasion.

This dress was beautiful. I had plenty of room at the waist to breathe so I skipped the shapewear. I had a little too much room at the arm holes. I tried to use tape to keep them in place and not show the side bra. That didn't work too well but the venue was dimly lit no one noticed. Other than that I felt beautiful for the occasion.

Great fit for petites, not too long or short and paired well with a bolero. My only issue with the dress was, as mentioned by others, the zipper at the waist. It took some added hands to zip up (thanks to my husband!) but overall a great dress. Would recommend ordering an extra size up in case you are in between sizes like myself.

The size 16 fit perfect. I received the 18 as a back up size as well. It should be noted that this dress, the 18, was SMALLER than the 16. I think someone altered it. I am really glad the 16 worked out because I would have been really sorry if I needed the 18.

After reading reviews, I wasn't super sure how it was going to run so I ordered my normal size and a size smaller. I ended up wearing the smaller size and probably could have worn even smaller if I had it. Overall great dress! I was worried the navy and black would be too similar in color but it looked great! I wore this to a formal event and it fit right in!

Worked great for a black tie optional wedding. The zipper on the side is tough - there was space but it's hard to do even when n the hanger. It took a lot of help from my husband to get this one. Once it was situated, looked amazing!

Let me just start with this is my favorite dress. The colors, pockets and the fact I could wear a real bra was WONDERFUL. However... the zipper is awful. I read the reviews about the pain in the ass zipper and I thought, 'Nah, can't be that bad, it's only a zipper.' I could not have been more wrong. After 2 people, a pair of plyers and 45 min later I was in. You may ask why did I go to all that trouble? Because the dress is WONDERFUL

Fit was true. I didn’t have the right bra and went without but had no problems, and I am NOT small breasted. The pockets were an extra plus. The zipper was a bugger but I worked around it. Overall it was perfect and I got lots of complements on it.

Fits true to size. Zipper is difficult- the trick to the zipper is to put the dress on, take your arms out, turn the dress so the zipper is in the front (instead of the side), then zip it up and turn the dress to the correct position. I wore 2 inch heels and the dress did not touch the floor. Very comfortable, the fabric is pleated so that it does not make your waist look teeny-tiny, and it emphasizes the booty.

I felt amazing in this dress! It's so classy. I wore it to a formal charity gala. The dress definitely ran large. I read other comments and based on that, ordered a 4 and a 2 (I'm usually a 6). I ended up wearing the 2! You should definitely size down on this one. If you are on the shorter side, the high-low style on the dress is more subtle, which I actually loved.

There’s no give in the fabric whatsoever so if you’re unsure of the size go up one.

This dress hid my small baby bump well (I was 15 weeks pregnant in these photos). The fabric around the waist and rib cage was very fitted and non-stretchy, so I don't know if I could have worn this size or style much later in my pregnancy. The cut is both flattering and comfortable. I could fit into both the 0 and the 2, but the 2 was more comfortable because of the pregnancy (I was ~120 lbs at this time). At my normal weight (110-115), I would have definitely worn the size 0.

Beautiful dress. The zipper was difficult to pull up, even on the size that was too large. I felt confident and comfortable!

LOVED to pockets, that made the dress along with no need to wear Spanx. I’m size 12 top, 14 lower. I got the 14, 12 not available. Arms a little big, nothing fabric tape and a shawl couldn’t take care of. Waist was loose. Very comfortable dress to wear 6 plus hours. Got several compliments.

Unfortunately RTR was out of a size 4, but the details said the dress runs a bit small so to order up. I wore the 6 and for the most part, it fit well. Was a little loose in the arms area. Considering that I'm small in height (4'11), the high-low style of the dress was PERFET. :)

Great dress. I really enjoyed the cut of the dress, the hemline was nearly floor length in the back, and tee length in the front, it added a really nice flow to it. The high-waist line was also really flattering and covered up my 15 week bump -- could barely tell I'm pregnant! Black and navy were an excellent color combination, and the material was light and flowed nicely. Also POCKETS! This dress was a total compliment magnet. Would recommend.

The high-low made it easy to move around all night.

My daughter loved wearing this dress to a banquet. She got many compliments and felt fantastic. She’s 5’ 7” about 130 pounds and the size 2 fit perfectly. It was our first time using rent the runway. She found the dress and asked me if she could do it. I’m glad we did because we had a great experience and can do this again for prom and other future events.

The size 2 worked great for me: 130lb, 5’6 and athletic build. I rented this dress for a formal military ball. As a nursing mom, I wanted something that I could wear a real bra with and not worry about the straps showing or being uncomfortable. This was perfect. The dress was very comfortable to wear even with the top being form fitting. But, YES, the zipper is very tricky! I rented both a size 4 (size 4 fit great but the 2 fit me more snug up top which I like but I could have worn either one) and a size 2. With both dresses the zipper was VERY hard to zip up or back down. So, it doesn’t matter if the top is very snug or not- it’s just how the zipper is constructed. I was prepared for the zipper issue as I read previous reviews so I made sure to play around with it as soon as I received my dress and not wait until the day of. There’s definitely tricks to finding how to zip it up best so plan ahead is my best advice!! I did not experience issues with the belt like I read in some reviews. It does move a bit but it doesn’t seem to change the look of the dress when it shifted.

This is my third time renting from RTR and a smashing success once again. I was looking for a dress that was simple yet elegant and this dress was the winner! Fits perfect. Like most RTR dresses, it does have a side zipper that is very challenging to zip up when going over the "band" of material around my waist. But, with a little patience I was zipped and ready to go! I received countless compliments all night! Thanks RTR! I will be back again!

Timeless/classic gown! I wore this for a black tie work event. Very comfortable and fit great. Only complaint was the zipper was extremely hard to zip once I had the dress. Other than that, I would totally rent this again.

This dress felt glamorous and comfortable. Loved that you can wear a regular bra, and who doesn’t love a dress with pockets! The zipper was difficult to get past the fabric seams - as hard as I tried, I couldn’t get it to budge myself and needed a second hand to help (not too small, just very sticky zipper). Literally the only downside of this dress was that a friend rented the SAME one for the same wedding (and our guys were groomsmen so we spent most of it together)! But I would absolutely recommend.

I rented this dress for a work gala that I was in charge of planning--because I would be running around all night, comfort and pockets were key for my dress. This dress was perfect! I felt comfortable all night, but also felt both professional and stylish. I received many compliments throughout the night. I am usually a 2 or 4, but wore the 0 in this dress. The zipper is a bit tricky, but not impossible. The belt did not totally stay in place, but that would be easily fixed with a piece of dress tape. Overall, great dress and would absolutely rent again!

I wore this to a black tie wedding last night. I got a lot of compliments on the dress! This is a perfect go to for me and fit my body type well. I rented the 6 and the 8 and the 6 fit me better. There are 2 things about this dress I wanted to share: -The side zip is difficult to zip up. The zipper gets stuck between the top and the bottom of the dress and I needed help zipping it -The belt that separates the top and the bottom is not attached to the fabric of the dress in the front. For me, this belt kept slipping up and would not stay in place. I think some double sided tape would have fixed it. Considering the above- I would definately rent the dress again though!

This dress was beautiful, and the cut was very flattering (I'm slightly pear-shaped). It was a little longer than I anticipated (but I think I was comparing it to the model photo, and I'm just 5'5"), but with heels the length wasn't a problem! I'd recommend this for any black tie wedding or formal occasion.

This dress is classic, beautiful, and comfortable. The fit was great, and the high-low meant I didn't have to keep picking it up or tripping over it all night. The only minor issue was that the little waist belt kept slipping upward. Be prepared to keep an eye on it or stick a little safety pin in it. Oh, and I had it steamed before the wedding, it was pretty wrinkly when it showed up. It was worth it. Definitely rent this dress!

I rented this for a black tie optional wedding and it was absolutely perfect! This was my first time renting a dress so wasn't sure what to expect. I could not have been happier. The quality and style of the dress was perfect. The silhouette and cut was flattering for my plus size figure. It was extremely comfortable and not a fussy type of dress. I wear a 20 in everyday clothes and this fit perfectly. As others have said there was a little gaping issue around the arm holes but nothing major. My only minor complaint is that the sash/belt where the skirt meets the bodice didn't stay put, even with double sided tape. I received a lot of compliments on the dress, some actually said the dress was stunning. I highly recommend this dress and would rent it again in a heartbeat. Rent it, you won't be sorry!
