Loved this dress. It's the second time that I rented it. I felt super sexy and got many compliments on it.

I was able to wear this beauty to work and to a wedding! Super comfortable, a little short and snug in the boob area but extremely flattering. 10/10 from me, would rent again.

This dress does run small, I am usually a size 6 and ended up wearing a 10 in this, I am 5'10" so it was a little short but not too bad! I would definitely wear this dress again, I got a ton of compliments and felt fantastic in it.

I got so many compliments on this dress. At the wedding and from pictures. The dress runs true to size, but I guess could be on the small side. I'm usually a 2 or 4, and after reading the reviews ordered a 4 and a 6. The 4 fit great, but bc it was a wedding, I went with the 6 bc it had a little more length and the fit was overall the same. I rented this dress to wear to the Houston Nutcracker. It was absolutely perfect for the occasion. Not too much and not too little. It was just perfect! I am usually a "0" in size, so I rented both a "0" and a "2". I fit in a "0", but felt more comfortable in a "2". The lace seemed to fit this time of the year and the gold zipper added. I wore a little beige bag and black pumps. I would definitely recommend this dress!

The fit runs a bit small - I was nervous with other reviews of girls going up like 2-3 dress sizes, but I'm relatively athletic so I figured one dress size up in the 4 would be safe and it was! It's a good thing the 2 was too tight anyway, as it was kind of frayed at the ends of the lace detail. It was pretty noticeable to the point where even if the dress fit, I wouldn't want to wear it. The 4 you can tell was worn (of course) but not bad enough where I wouldn't wear it. I was getting so many compliments all night on the lace with the nude underlay, so it's disappointing none of my pics from the night show the detail. Regardless though, I'd wear it again. I'll sacrifice the pics to look great in person!

Wore it for graduation and it looked great! Wasn't very stretchy though so became a little difficult when maneuvering around but also could have probably worn a bigger size...I would go up a size for the back up size because of the tightness but it was great and hugged my curves in the right places!

It definitely runs small. Get a size bigger, and it will fit a little smaller than your normal size. I wear a 0 comfortably, and the 2 was nice and snug. Lots of compliments- the lace looked great.

This dress was amazing for a dinner date. I am a petite, toned woman, and the dress fit perfectly. I also ate dinner while wearing the dress without a problem. This photo was taken after dinner :)

This was the PERFECT black dress. It accented all of my curves. It was definitely a head turning dress. The only thing is, for me, I have very athletic and muscular legs and a big bottom, the dress was right around the thighs and butt. I will absolutely rent this dress again though!

Most important thing about this dress: IT RUNS SMALL! Every dress I have ever worn from Rent the Runway has been a 0. I ordered in a 2 and 4 of this dress and the 2 was not even an option. The dress did work out though and it looked beautiful! I wore it with nude shoes which tied in well with the underlay.

It was beautiful and received a ton of compliments. Definitely take the fact that it "runs small" to heart, though! I usually wear a 2 or 4, and the 6 was what I ended up wearing in this dress.

I love little black dresses. This dress was perfect for my sororities semi formal, I wish I could wear it again! It does run on the small size. I am not curvy and it was on the tight side for the fit. The lace layer is very unforgiving. But overall perfect dress that I would most certainly rent again.

first of all, this dress is gorgeous in person! the lace is somewhat stretchy so its a really comfortable, curve hugging and flattering fit. I really liked the length- it was a bit shorter than I was expecting. This dress also runs at least a size small- I'm almost always a size 0 and found the 2 to be snug, and I'm not especially curvy. Great to wear with a standard bra, and also really easy to pair accessories with! Definitely size up in this one, and it's a total must rent!

My typical dress size is a four, but on this dress I needed the six. It was a beautiful dress and very flattering. I loved the lace on it and the overall fit of the dress.

This dress fit great and I really liked it, especially for a November wedding. However, it was more fitted/tight around your hips and thighs so it made it a little difficult to sit, get in and out of cars, etc. You really had to be careful and could not take big steps. Nevertheless, it was still a great dress and I felt very confident and sexy in it all night!

Order one size up! I usually wear a two and the two was way too small! I could squeeze the two on my body but could not sit down. The four was perfect!

Really enjoyed wearing this dress, the black lace is super elegant with the delicate splash of flesh tone underlay. It runs a bit tight, I would have preferred wearing a size 8 and would opt for black hosiery instead of nude. This was my first time wearing a Haute Hippie piece, it was surprisingly sophisticated.

It is very important that you go up at least one size for this dress. It is very tight, but eventually gives after some wear to allow for mobility. I am a true 8 and the 10 was good, but tight. All night, I wondered how different the 12 would be, but it wasn't available, so it doesn't matter. I loved how I looked and felt, so I was very happy with the rental. 4 stars instead of 5 because of the tightness; getting in and out of the car was a bit of a mission!

I rented this dress for a wedding and because of previous reviews I ordered a size up than what I normally wear. I am 5'10" and weigh 130 pounds and I usually wear a size 2 or 4 so I ordered a size 4 and 6 with dress. The dress was supposed to come on Thursday but due to weather conditions it came Friday. Turns out, the 6 was too small! So I called about 1:30 on Friday and told them it was too small and they immediately gave me the option to overnight another dress. By 10:30 the next morning (the day of the wedding) I had this dress in a size 8. The 8 fit well but I was still surprised by how small this dress runs. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is because you can tell this dress has been rented many times because the lace looks worn out up close. Great black dress, though!

Fit really great and had a nice allusion with the lace. it bordered a little short for me but only bc it was my bosses wedding and I wanted a little more of a conservative length. Overall really cute!

When I first received the dress I was a little concerned that it was going to be too dressy/conservative for the birthday celebration that I was attending, however it runs small and is tightly fitted so it was appropriate for a night out. I sized up for my back up and was very happy that I did because I couldn't get the size 6 (my usual size) over my hips and thighs which are the smaller parts of my figure. The size 8 fit perfectly, it was tighter than I am typically comfortable with but the lace and the design are so flattering. I loved that it was so different from the traditional little black dress and stood out in a crowd.

Ok so having lost about 10lbs for my upcoming wedding, I have been been much more on the side of a 2 than 4. This dress however, I definitely needed the 4. I am completely straight up and down, absolutely no butt and while I could have wedged myself into the 2, I certainly would not have been comfortable and potentially not able to sit down. The lace layer of this dress has absolutely no stretch so I would certainly recommend sizing up if you're in any way curvy. I could feel the tightness even in the 4 around my butt which was surprising. That said, the dress looked great, an understated sexy perfect for a wedding. I wore a more 'statement' style necklace for a little pizazz.

This dress is TINY. I can't remember the last time I wore a size 2. The zero had no chance and the 2 was super tight and short. May have been better suited for a night out rather than a formal dinner party. Regardless, the lace accents were very pretty and definitely stepped it up. If I rent again I definitely will be ordering a size 4.

It was a nice dress, but frankly a little plain.

The dress fit well, but I'm usually a 4 and it was pretty tight. I wore the 6 instead and I really enjoyed it. The lace overlay was slightly fraying at the edges which I wasn't a fan of, but it wasn't noticeable to anyone else.

Super cute dress! I really wanted it to work but it was superrrrr tight in the thighs and butt area. You can’t really tell in the pictures but I was packed in like a sausage down there lol I’m usually between a 4 and a 6 and I’m pretty sure the 6 would even be too tight. Perfect in the chest and waist area though. Disappointed I wasn’t able to wear it out.

Tight lace dress with no stretch so a little hard to walk. Sexy and simple. Sometimes the nude slip underneath would show below the dress. Overall worked great for my event (a fundraising gala).

The dress is definitely form fitting. I could have used a little more room in the bust. I'm only 5'4 and the dress was a little short for me at times for a wedding. Overall though, I loved the dress and the quality of the material.

I wore this for my Bachelorette Party at a casino. It was comfortable for a night of dancing and fun. I'm short, so everything looks long on me, but this hit mid thigh and looked great. My style is not too adventurous, so this was just the right amount of sexy.

Runs short and small! I should've sized up but I did manage to fit into the size 2. The lace was a bit frayed and the lace layer rode up a tiny bit. I'm still happy I rented it and would rent it again.
