I wore this dress for a New Year's Eve function. The bead work on this very delicate and looks expensive. With that being said, the back of this dress fits very very loose. I luckily was able to make a make-shift duct tape bra which worked perfectly! The halter neck lets you be able to control how much cleavage you want to show which is nice. Don't plan on wearing a regular bra though!! Loved wearing this dress.

I rented this for a bachelorette party in Miami and got so many compliments. I was prepared to go bra-less or maybe try one of those stick on bras but was pleasantly surprised when my strapless worked with this dress.

Beautiful fabric. Fun dress. It was on the shorter size, and had a fun, glamorous-yet-edgy feel. The Medium fit fine, but I went with the Large since it was a tad bit longer.

This was my first experience renting so naturally I was a bit nervous, but this dress was FABULOUS! It was comfortable and fit perfectly! I loved it so much, I didn't want to send it back!

Wore this for a formal James Bond party and it was perfect. The dress is very flattering and the color/material was beautiful. Definitely invest in some alternative bra, because back is open. The tie around the neck is also adjustable, so you can make the fit as loose or form fitting as you'd like.

The fit was very true to size! I was scared that it would be a little too long because I'm short, but it fit perfectly! The lower back was a little loose, but that could be resolved with some fashion tape or some really great friends! Overall, I felt like a princess and would definitely recommend this to anyone!

I rented this dress because the theme of the wedding is 1920's. I originally wanted to wear the Medium but I felt like it snugged a bit too much in my hip/butt area. Since I'm blessed with large bosoms I purchased the sticky bras, and it worked well. I danced comfortable. It was a fun dress!

Curve friendly. Beading is beautiful, but can catch easily. Good for warm weather and nude accessories. Did not stop getting compliments the whole night! There's no zipper so it was a bit tight getting it over my head, you just have to be careful. Really lovely piece, glad I chose it for my special night.

The dress was beautiful! It had wonderful detail of beading on the lace, fit well, and I got a ton of complements. Overall, the dress was perfect for my friend's Gatsby bachelorette party!

So the color is a bit tricky because the lace is more silver but the beading is more taupe, but once I figured out the shoes to wear with it, I was in love. I thought it was super flattering (not too loose or too tight), I didn't have to wear a bra, and the draping still looked good after we'd eaten a big meal :) Fun to dance in. Really enjoyed this dress. Wish I owned it!

This was my first RTR experience, and I loved this dress. I will say that sticky tape will be your best friend (even though I didn't use it but should have) since the front moves around quite a bit, especially if you're dancing. But I have no complaints. I felt and looked like a goddess!! Thank you RTR!!

I wore this to a Gatsby-themed wedding. I got so many compliments on it. It was comfortable although the liner had to be pulled down every so often. I initially started the night wearing one of those stick-on bras (because it is totally backless), but that annoyed me so I ended up taking it off. Coverage was good even without a bra.

I loved this dress a lot more then I thought it would. In perfect it is a perfect shimmery silver. The fit is very flattering, and sexy but not too much. I would wear this again in a heart beat.

The magic castle has strict dress codes and an old-timey hollywood feel elegance. This was the perfect dress! Fit was amazing. I like that the halter ties to adjust for different heights/size bust. I would rent this again, great price

I rented this for a summer wedding and couldn't of been happier with the dress. I felt amazing in it! Granted I don't have much of a bust- but I could see how they might present an issue.

I probably should have worn the small, but I opted for the medium to not look too Vegas. I went bra less because the back is so low ( and so sexy) but I made it work cause I've got a bit of a booty. My chest looks pretty flat in the picture but from a frontal view f2f, it laid nice on my chest and still gave structure to my breasts. This dress is 100 times more stunning in person. Would absolutely rent again.

I wore this dress to a 1920s themed Gatsby party at my school and it was perfect!! I looked just like Daisy Buchanan in her famous "Chandelier Dress" (or at least I think so). The dress looked beautiful on. The only small complain I had was that, when I first put it on, it was a bit scratchy under the arms, but that quickly went away. I would buy this dress if I could!! Amazingly beautiful for any occasion.

Dress is not see through, but will definitely need some tape and some "petals" to stay covered since the dress doesn't really allow for a bra! Beautiful in person - lace and detailing is gorgeous and delicate. The gold and silver colors are more vibrant in person, too. Beautiful dress!!!!

Honestly, I was so happy with this dress and jewelry when it came in I almost fainted. I had originally ordered another dress for my senior prom, but Rent the Runway notfied me that they did not have in my size and I could pick out another dress that I liked at any price. So I choose this Haute Hippie Dress and I also negotiated free jewlry with this dress which they sent over night! This dress and jewlry would have cost me $200, but I got it for free! People were giving me compliments all night because not only did I stand out in a short dress admist all the long dressses, but I had a modern flapper outfit on. Some of my friends even started calling me Daisy! I recomend this dress to any one as it was very flattering on my athletic build and no bra is needed as the fabric is thick enough. I wish I could keep this dress and jewelry forever! Thank you Rent the Runway!!!

This dress is absolutely beautiful. The model doesn't do it justice. You can adjust the strap to make the lower or for more coverage. It isn't as shapeless looking in person. THere is also a really pretty faint peach beading on the dress. You can wear this dress with light gold, silver or nude shoes. I would rent this dress again in a heartbeat.

I wore this dress to a charity gala and felt fabulous in it all night. It stood our from the normal ball gowns. I paired this dress with Tahari strappy sandals (bought myself), a champagne colored handbag (bought myself), and jewelry from Rent the Runway. The jewelry was perfect and added the extra vintage vibe I was looking for. I rented the BEN-AMUN Crystal Cambon Pearl Bracelet, CINER Antique Crystal Cherish Necklace, and CINER Antique Crystal Fab Drop Earrings. The dress works perfect for different body sizes because of the tie-it-yourself halter top. I am on the shorter side of things, and the dress hit right above my knee but didn't feel too long because of the several inches of lace at the bottom. The dress is extremely comfortable - I was able to dance in it all night. Also, because of the thick material, I did not have to wear a bra. This is a perfect dress for a formal occasion - it's a unique, vintage look.

I just can't say enough good things about this dress!!!! I was going to a charity fundraiser with a Roarin' 20's them at a speakeasy club. I got this dress as my back up dress only because I am somewhat conservative and this seemed a little risqué for me, but I thought it was beautiful. I had read all the reviews and it seemed like a good option as a back-up. I had chosen the 'Grey Gatsby' dress as my first choice. Well, even though my first choice fit, I still wore this one! It was so beautiful! And when I tried them on for my husband he insisted that I wear this one. I got so many compliments on it and of course I told everyone about RTR! It would genius if RTR would include a few business cards for us to give to people who ask where we got the dress! I hated to send this one back!

I rent this along with the earrings and the bracelet for a NYE themed Great Gatsby/Roaring 20s Party. IT was FABULOUS received compliments from total strangers, not to mention it was such a show stopper with the metallic lace. Perfect for recreating the 'floosy' look without buying/renting a cheap costume. Super Authentic feel and the peach beading was a great detail. Fit as expected didn't need to even worry about a bra (the material is thick).

I've worn the Haute Hippie "Dry Martini Dress" before this which was the same shape and had been a huge fan so was very excited to try this one on. The material is absolutely beautiful and the pictures online do not do the detailing justice. The fabric also makes this dress look more dressy than other styles so it would be perfect for any cocktail event. The way the dress drapes is so flattering and the cowl at the top can be adjusted based on how tight you tie the halter.

Dress was stunning in person. Halter ties were a little more worn and dress was slightly frayed on edges. Overall it worked so well for my 1920s Gala in the Garden! I paired it with champagne colored peep toes. Fit was TTS and the draping was flattering. I had people complimenting me all night! Even taking my picture.. Wish I could keep it! I did have to wear a NuBra with it as the back is very low.

I rented this dress to wear to a Postmodern Jukebox concert, and I was going for a vintage-type style. It was shorter than I expected, but still very comfortable. The top part is an adjustable halter, so you can alter the height of the neckline to your pleasure. I wore a regular strapless bra, and I found that I needed to use a little fashion tape to keep the bra from being revealed as I moved throughout the evening. In hindsight, I should have worn a backless bra, because the back kept falling down and fashion tape wasn't much help in that area. Several other reviewers have mentioned that the dress looks very worn/frayed, and they are correct. The fraying worked well since I was going for a vintage look, but I would not have worn it for any other purpose. However, the beading really is gorgeous!

I wore this dress to a 20's themed NYE party. This dress is one of those dresses where people will do a double take because it looks like a basic dress but upon closer inspection it's really beautiful.. I received lots of comments and I felt pretty good in it. It's very sexy and from looking at pictures of other women on here who wore it, it looks good on all shapes! The only con was I did feel like the dress I received was slightly worn more than I'd like. The straps were tangled in some kind of string... it was weird but once I got that undone it was fine. The bottom of the dress was collecting fuzzies so i very lightly clipped them off.. Not a deal breaker though. I ended up wearing a strapless bra and it worked nicely. I would definitely recommend this dress.

The skirt is very form-fitting which made me a little nervous about looking thick in the mid-section... But it wound up being a really flattering, sexy dress. The M fit well. I seem to wear an 8, maybe a 6 in dresses these days. I would rent it again.

The material of the dress is nicer in person than it appears in pictures. I loved that the material is thick enough that I did not have to wear a bra. I'm giving it 4 stars only because this dress was not my first choice and so I rented a few dresses that were available to see which one fit best and I chose this one.
