The sides were super short but with solid black tights the high slits less are noticeable. Overall the dress was comfortable and fun! Tons of compliments!

The dress fit great! I would usually wear a small but I was pregnant and wanted a little more tummy room so I wore the medium. I had to buy tights that were even in color all the way through cuz the dress was so short and the slits on the side would have shown the thigh line that are on the tights/nylons. I didn't mind the short length, I thought it was fun, but if you are conservative & plan on sitting down a lot at your event, it shrinks up very high on the thigh. Overall I loved the dress and got lots of compliments on it!

The dress was very comfortable, although it is short. Since I am fairly petite, it wasn't an issue for me, however the slits on the side are definitely a bit scandalous! We were in poor lighting all night so I don't have a clear photo to put up, but the dress was outstanding. Fun, flirty and comfortable... It wasn't itchy and the sequins never snagged which was a plus. Loved it and it was perfect for the party.

After reading reviews, I made sure to order my regular size (S) and one size down (XS). While the XS fit well, the side slits were high and I was afraid of showing a little cheek. Plus, the smaller size was more fitted and didn't allow for the fun swing that I was hoping for. I stuck with the size S and loved it! I wore this to a Roaring 20's theme fundraiser event and received so many compliments! Plus, I felt fancy and comfortable all night long.

The fit is loose around the arm (so if you are self conscious about your arms, maybe think twice). I am, but I ended up liking all of my pictures. I am pear shaped and short it does not show off any curves, but I liked that. It was a very eclectic wedding and it fit the mood. I went crazy with the jewelry and didn't feel it took away. I got a lot of compliments. **One thing, the slit on the thigh, if you put your hand on your hip, it hikes clear up your side! (see picture 2) I had to crop it out! Overall it was different and I liked that.

I would of never picked this dress out online but I saw it when I went to the Showroom in NYC. It is such a cute and fun dress. The slits on the side are very high but I am short and got away wearing it without tights. It does run a little big, I could of taken in the back slightly but it didn't really matter. It still looked great on!

It is a loose fitting dress - I definitely agree that it should be paired with leggings or very dark tights as it is short - I only ordered a medium as it was my backup dress, and it looked great, but probably could of worn the small too! GREAT dress - received a ton of compliments and it was incredibly comfortable to wear!

At 5'3", 112 lbs, 32D I am often in between a small and XS. When I wear the XS I wonder what do really thing girls wear? The shape is not fitted but drapes in a flattering way. After reading other reviews I was concerned about the side slits - they are somewhat high so I made sure my tights were no-line. I loved this so much I want to rent it again for this NYE but we'll be in Miami where no tights are needed and this dress needs tights. In this dress, you get attention when you walk in the room - va-va-voom.

I think sometimes sequins can look tacky but not on this dress! I selected true to size but I would say depending on your built it might run a little large. I rented a medium and it fit me but I think I might have been able to get away with a size small. Depends on how loose you want it to fit.

This dress was absolutely gorgeous, by far one of my favorites! The color is more of an ox blood color in person and has tiny gold beads among the sequins and while the fit is looser, it hugs the body in all of the right places. I rented an XS and a S and the XS ended up fitting best. The only thing I would note is that for someone on the taller side (I'm only 5'2"), the slits on either side come up pretty high. I loved that this dress is sexy, yet not too revealing which made it perfect for the event that I went to which was on the conservative side. The event was a Gatsby theme party and I received so many compliments! One of my friends that I went with thought the dress looked so great that she told me I should look for it online to buy it. Overall, I am super pleased with the dress and would definitely rent it again.

I added this dress to my order at the last minute - I love RTR and the customer service is the absolute best!!! Thank you to RTR customer service!!! This dress is pure glamour, understated sex appeal and sophistication! Now, I am a body-conscious dress kind of girl, and when I first tried on the dress I was disappointed - the dress does fit like a sequined boxy, loose rectangle. However, when I paired it with black platform heels, large double-hoop dangly gold earrings - WOW! The dress swayed seductively all night - and makes you actually look smaller (because the dress is so loose - who knows what size you are underneath?) I normally wear a 6 in dresses and wore the M. I got compliments all night! I can't believe I love this sequined "potato sack", as another reviewer put it, but I do! I will probably rent this one again! About the color - looked brown to me, but in certain light looks plum-ish.

It was a little snug around my hips, but I did wear a small. I might have been able to wear a medium, but it was out of stock for the day of my party. I think it's important to know that the sequins on this dress are not black. They are more of a plum, reddish, maroonish color. It personally wasn't a problem for me, but just so people know! I thought this dress was way fun and yes, the slits on the side come up pretty high. But I had the best 21st in it!

Sorry I dont have a great full body shot of the dress. There are slits on the side which makes the dress shorter when on than it looks in photos. It was fun to wear for a party. The inside liner is a bit tight so if you have hips and a booty, you might have to size up. For example, I could have fit the small, but the tightness of the liner made me have to size up to a medium. The dress definitely is more plum than black as it can look black in some of the photos.

I rented a S and M. The weird thing was that the M seemed shorter and a little tighter. I wore the S. you can't tell in the picture but there are slits on both sides of the dress. Keep that in mind because it's already pretty short. For the accessory, I chose "surprise bling" and they sent a nice necklace. Got a lot of compliments!

I rented this dress for the Navy Ball in college and it was a hit! It was a little big baggier than expected and the cap sleeves didn't accentuate the best part of my arms, but I through on a belt and everyone loved the sequins.

This dress fit well but didn't flatter me as much as I would have liked, It seems to be more snug in the mid section than I thought it would be, and the cut of the sleeves was less flattering than I anticipated. That being said, it was still a great dress and I enjoyed wearing it. I suspect someone taller and less hourglass-y would enjoy it more.

I rented this dress for my sister's bachelorette party in Vegas. The only size available was XS, when a S or even a M would have been a bit more appropriate. I wore it anyway (hey, it's Vegas after all!) and was careful when sitting since it has slits on both sides. If it's not 100º outside, I'd recommend wearing tights with this dress...

I loved this dress. The only thing was that it was a bit itchy when I sat down. I ended up wearing the S between the S and XS because of the arm holes. The XS restricted my arms a bit. Length was perfect and it was very comfortable to go to a party with tons of food!

The slits on the side are extremely short. It didn't allow any reaching, no jumping, just a tiny bit of dancing. When I sat down for dinner the slit came all the way up to my panties. Literally. With that being said I'm 5'7'' and an XS so that's probably one reason it was so short on me. However the color, the fit, I loved everything about this dress. I even had a stranger comment on how its a perfect mix of sexy and class.

Hi, This is a beautiful dress. The color wine against the black is very rich looking. The top half of the dress was swimming on me, but the hip area felt like it fit okay. I wore it anyways because I needed something to wear to a party. I usually wear a petite size 2 or a 4 and I am only 5'1".

This dress was awesome! Sexy (from side slits and short length-mid thigh), but not screaming sexy with it's sack-like shape.I had so many compliments. I wore it to an event with the dress attire labeled as "cocktail formal"...there are small slits on the sides of the dress, but it was fine as it was dark at the event and we were standing the whole time. I went bare legs and strapy black heels.

LOVE this dress. I'm thin and tall with some hips (like a 0 up top, size 4 hips) so I love flowy sheaths like this. I wore a size 4 so it was loose around my hips, like the model. The dress looks even better in person- a nice change from the usual black or blue sequin dresses. The slits on the side didn't bother me too much, I wore dark black tights and danced like a maniac all night.

This dress is very fun, but should come with a warning--there are very high slits on the side of the dress that are a little scandolous. I wore it with black tights to take attention away from the high slits. Probably not the best choice for someone with longer legs, it was short on me and I am only 5'3".

I rented this dress for a halloween date night/party, and it worked perfectly for a flapper costume. The dress is a little short even for my height (5' 3"). It was fine for taking pictures, but I had to be careful when getting in and out of cabs. It is pretty boxy and definitely needed to be belted. The dress also seems less red/wine-colored in person.

An enjoyable dress to wear. I got several compliments at my friends' engagement party wearing this dress with black textured stockings and several long layer necklaces like in the RTR picture. I'm an hourglass figure and this dress is not cut to show off my shape, which meant it was not a popular pick with my husband, but the spangles were fun and perfect for a "speakeasy" theme. Definitely cut for a more lean and leggy figure, but still fun & flattering to a petite hourglass.

I ordered this dress as a backup since my first choice sequins dress 2nd size wasn't available just in case the size I requested didn't fit. Other than that! I tried it on and absolutely loved it! super comfy not constricting, length is perfect for my height. I was going to a themed bachelorette and preferred we wore lighter colors is the only reason I didn't wear it. I would've preferred to!

I actually did not end up wearing this dress for the 20s party I rented it for- I wore the other one I rented. However, it's a great dress and very slinky and hits all the right places. I rented a medium and got a back up large. I would have worn the large- as the medium was a little too snug on my hips. There was a big difference between the two sizes- and the large actually was a little too big but the way the dress hangs, it actually would have still been a great option to rock!

The fit runs true to size! I usually wear a large and that is what I wore in this dress! I did get a medium for the backup size, and it could have fit but the large fit better all over and made me feel more comfortabel!! Great dress! And will order again from this designer!
