Perfect black dress to wear as a wedding vendor. Tons of compliments while working and paired easily with sneakers. Suuuper heavy material, so not ideal for temps over 70°F. Also i wouldn't have been able to tie the back without my partner, so keep that in mind! But 10/10 showstopper.

Loved this dress for a black tie holiday party. It is big and heavy and does look a little big in photos, but I loved it. I could wear a bra no problem - there’s snaps to keep it in place in the sleeves.

An excellent mid-winter dress! It’s like a comforter on, and I don’t think that it would work on smaller ladies because of that. It’s very thick and I needed to double tie the straps in back to keep them secure. You’ll need help getting this tied, so don’t dress alone. Also has pockets!

So comfy. A little bit heavy. Pockets. Didn’t have to wear a bra. WINNER.

Honestly, for a smaller bust, I could have gone down a size, BUT, there is no waist opening as far as a zipper or clasp, so I would stay with the 36 just to avoid risking not being able to get it over the head. Gorgeous though, great texture in person, worked amazing for my ribbon cutting ceremony and grand opening party.

I can’t wait to have a reason to wear this dress again. It’s incredibly luxe - the material is pretty heavy and I thought that made it perfect for the winter. The sweetheart neckline and subtly puffy sleeves are adorable. Felt like a million bucks in this.

I love this dress so much but the formal event count in my life is slowing down. Is it the most flattering? No. Is it gonna collect compliments all night? Hell yeah. Will you feel conscious about the open bar and dessert at the end of night? Sure won’t. You’ll need someone to tie you in tightly though. While it may feel like you could size down, don’t. The panels in the back need to overlap so you don’t get a tacky gap between sides.

I wore this to my Mother’s funeral. It made me feel closer to her to wear something classically stunning. She was very fashionable and so I wanted to have something that honored her. It was comfortable, and felt like I was wearing art. The material is heavy, as others noted. I loved this dress.

Oversized skirt and hardly flattering- too small at the chest as well. But- detail was so lovely on the fabric and the back that I didn’t mind. Fun, ridiculous rental for a special occasion. As others have noted, dress is quite heavy.

I am obsessed with this. All of the reviews are correct - this is so well-crafted, and it certainly has weight to it. The only struggle is figuring out the exact correct weather/temp situation where you can wear the thick material (which is gorgeous) but not be cold with the length/sleeves, lower neckline. The couple of times I wore it in the winter, I paired with a turtleneck and it was perfect. If you have the opportunity/event to rent this, you absolutely should.

This dress is amazing!!! I received so many compliments. The inside was silky but it was heavy in a security blanket type way. Only reason I’m not keeping for longer is it’s just a hair too big - even with the tie back I couldn’t quite get the fit I would have wanted. Still, absolutely adored this and will rent again!

This dress is incredible - larger than life, (and for any coat I owned!) I loved it - it’s very fashion forward and the skirt has its full own personality. Felt amazing in this, and got tons of compliments. Wore to a corporate holiday party and a friend’s private birthday dinner, loved it. Similar to other Hofmann Copenhagen dresses though, the empire waist can be a pain to get over my bust but once you’re in, it’s perfect!

I would keep this if I could justify the cost. It looked so good on me and I received many compliments. The fabric is just wonderful and unique. I'm typically an 8 in pants, but I ordered a 36 (4) because the skirt is so spacious and the back is adjustable. I'm very small-chested though so this ended up being a smart risk because it fit me perfectly. The length was also great and of course who doesn't love a pocketed dress. I'll be dreaming about this one!

I wore this to a black tie wedding. It definitely a fashion moment. The sleeves were just over the top and amazing. The quality of the fabric was high-end leading to this dress not looking cheap. I did tuck in the straps cause I didn’t like the top strap the one across the back.

This is a heavy embroidered fabric that is for a formal event- winter wedding. I was looking for something more casual so it didn’t suit my needs. Has pockets and good quality. Definitely need a friend to assist with ties in the back. Weighs about 30 lbs (maybe I’m exaggerating a little) Bust was tight on 36D, the ties help but you can’t have a typical bra with the low-cut back.
